Dr. Kevin Louis Monteleone

Dr. Monteleone removed a wisdom tooth for me. I had no pain or discomfort during or after the procedure. Dr. Monteleone called me the evening of the surgery to ask how I was doing, which I appreciated.

Dr Monteleone is the best in town. His father was the best as well and Kevin carry’s on the excellence.

Honestly, I'm a bit floored with the customer service at this place. I've been calling around at different places for about three weeks trying to get quotes for wisdom teeth removal. Dr. Monteleone was recommended to me on a Facebook page so naturally, I called. The first time, they took my first and last name, phone number, email, along with a couple other questions. The receptionist said that everyone was in a meeting and would give me a call back at 11:30. No biggie, 11:30 rolls around they call right on the dot but I missed it. Called back less than 30 seconds later and they don't remember calling me but they take my number and ALL of my info yet again and said they would give me a call back with a quote. No call back, ever. A week goes by and I have my fiancé call. They take all of his information and say they'll call back with a quote. What??? And today, I call.. looking for a quote... The receptionist takes my information AGAIN and says they'll get back to me with a quote. WHAT? All I needed is a quote for two wisdom teeth removed but clearly this place is not capable of doing so. I can't imagine getting teeth removed at this location then having an issue and not being able to get ahold of anybody. So, no. Dr. Kevin Monteleone performed my daughter’s wisdom teeth extraction. I cannot express enough how grateful I am to have found such a wonderful doctor and staff- they made a stressful situation so easy! My daughter’s recovery was much better than I had ever anticipated, and this is all do to Dr. Monteleone and his surgical assistant. They gave me step by step instructions on what I needed to do for her post surgery- how long to apply ice, when to start applying heat, when to start on the mouth rinsing. I followed the instructions without fail, and my daughter’s face never got swollen and she barley complained of any pain! Was up and eating in no time! I had a cracked upper molar that couldn't be saved and I'm dislike dentist and Dr Monteleone was able to sedate me to remove it. His assistant Robin was amazing, she made me feel very comfortable and I think that's why my experience was a really great one. Considering that it was something that had to be done. I would highly recommend Dr Monteleone.

I have to say, getting some effective pain medication after having oral surgery was literally like “pulling teeth”. When I called into the office to explain that i needed something stronger, I was told by the front office staff “there’s supposed to be pain” and “Devin, you don’t understand how this procedure works”. I was so upset that someone could literally respond without acknowledging that maybe I have a lower pain tolerance. Dr Kevin called my boyfriend the night of the surgery and said he would prescribe something else if needed, however never said he actually did. I held out to see if I could deal with the pain. And the next day I couldn’t, and I was honestly scared to call in because I didn’t want to bother Kevin because I knew he was busy and I didn’t want to feel like I was drug seeking. But I was in pain and I know I have a low pain tolerance. Dr Kevin called back after I had called the office and his personal number and basically said he never received a call and he would have known about it. He also told me it was concerning that I’m asking for narcotics 1 1/2 hrs after surgery. Yeah, I was upset that I wasn’t going to have something effective because what was prescribed was basically ibuprofen. Then he said he had already sent over the prescription “so why are you calling me” In the end I was given something more effective but I have never felt more unheard and disrespected. Oral surgery can be scary. I had a great experience with Dr. Monteleone. In my experience, I had very minimal pain when I had a bone growth removed from my gum line. The staff and facility was great as well!

Dr. Kevin Monteleone is amazing. I have a fear of needles and his care and shot giving ability was the best I have ever experienced. His staff was amazing. I only waited 4 minutes to see the Dr. for my appointment.

Hey everyone! Thanks for taking the time to check out the review. So I called this place before it closed for the day, and so they had to give me a call back. They called back the next day while I was doing some company work, so things were in disarray, as I had to pull up insurance information and switch between company calendar and my personal calendar in order to see what dates would work. As I hate to make people go back and forth, I asked for a few seconds to arrange some stuff and get the needed information instead of continuing to go back and forth with the receptionist on the phone. I think VALERIE, or VALERY (apologies if I misspelled her name) must have thought I left the line, because I immediately heard her snark to her friend in the back "This guy CANNOT figure out his life at all! Ugh!," and laugh. I waited for her to stop, then proceeded with a "Hi, sorry about the wait," and continued with the conversation. I eventually declined to schedule the appointment. Pretty rude comment, and it's tough to get business when you can't help a client through the door. If you're looking for other options you may want to consider South Tampa Dentistry with Dr. Wyatt (4.9/5 Google ratings from over 800 people, also close in proximity to this place on Dale Mabry) or Dr. Barbick (4.8/5 ratings but in Carrollwood, Tampa). I should have done more research before going to this office. The front staff seemed friendly. Nice location and office setting. After my consultation, I was hesitant with setting a date, because I didn't feel that I received quality care. The oral surgent didn't seem like he wanted my business. I explained what forms of antibiotics I was allergic to and he told me that I didn't have much options if the antibiotic he prescribed that day didn't work. I lost confidence in a treatment plan at that point. I did have an allergic reaction and when I called the office to leave a message, they didn't return the call. I called this morning and was told by the office assistant that I must figure out what I can take. Really? If I knew what I could take, I would never need to see a doctor ever. Will not return. Had my wisdom teeth removed and received the most professional and courteous treatment I’ve ever had in a dental office. I would recommend Dr. Kevin and his team to everyone I know

My brother and I both had wisdom teeth extracted by Dr. Kessler and loved him. I was a total wreck about going to have the procedure done, but Dr. Kessler and the staff were totally comforting from consult to procedure, and he did a great job. All of my teeth were at least partially impacted, but I was not in pain and my face didn't even swell, since I kept ice on it. After a day or two, I was concerned that I was still bleeding more than I should have been, so they scheduled me to come in for my follow-up earlier than the suggested one week. Everything was fine, and they even removed my stitches for me, which were getting on my nerves. My only complaint is that I did not receive a check-up phone call the evening of my surgery as I was told I would, but I was doing fine, so it wasn't a huge deal. I made an emergency calI for the worst toothache I have ever had. Not only was I seen promptly but I was also greeted with the most kind and helpful staffs. I was scheduled to have two wisdom teeth pulled and two molars. It was a painless, professional and mindful procedure. My follow up was in one week and I am pain free. Thanks to Dr. Monteleone and his wonderful staff. I will be returning soon to have my other two wisdom teeth removed. I would recommend them to anyone. Extremely bad experience with Doctor Kessler. He tried to tell me that my wisdom teeth don't need to come out, despite the fact that I'm 21 and have been told by two seperate dentists that I need them out. He claimed they were too "premature" to take out despite the fact that premature wisdom teeth are easier and less painful to get removed. Him and his assistant were both in denial as I pointed to the X-ray screen which showed my wisdom teeth touching the nerves of my teeth. Not only were they not willing to help, but the way in which they communicated to be was very disrespectful and condescending. Doctor Kessler told me I needed to see a stomach doctor before I saw him. His assistant repeated to me on four separate occasions "did doctor Kessler go over everything with you" because I was asking her some questions about my teeth. Came in his office to see a different dentist and ended up with Kevin Monta Leone instead. I was an urgent need to have a tooth removed and as I have watched YouTube videos of teeth being removed the doctor gently holds the head in his hand while Dr. Kevin Lyons yanked my head side to side like a dog with the chew toy. This was the most unprofessional dentist I have ever seen in my life and everybody that I tell about it says it is a true HORROR story . If this is how you want to be treated go there if not find someone else!
