I have only met with the Doctor twice. I am a new patient. Can’t say I like or dislike him. His office staff is very incompetent, Not a single person can keep anything straight. Loss of tests that were supposed to be sent out to a lab not once, twice or a third time. I expressed my concerns to his office staff and they won’t even get me in to see the doctor. I told them I needed to see the doctor to express my concerns about his office staff. I was told that an office visit is not meant for that. Just fax my concerns with the issues I have with his staff and they would make sure that he would get them. I wasn’t born yesterday. I see several different doctors and have never been treated with so much disrespect. I am a new patient and would hate to see how they treat older patients.

He's a great doctor who helped save my life. Dr. Kristl explains treatments and coditions in a way that I am able to understand. He always answers my questions when I have any.

My Mother has been going to Dr. Krystal since 2006. During this time I had never met him. When she showed signs of dementia I accompanied her to the appointment since my requests for dementia testing were going unheard. When I finally met Dr. Krystal I could not believe he was the doctor. He acted so flakey and nonchalant about my Mother’s decline even pushed testing back another year! Things escalated quickly with my Mother and adult protective services became involved after I had to call an ambulance for my Mother. It was not until the police and APS were involved that suddenly out of the blue Dr. Krystal diagnosed my Mother with dementia. This cost my family financial problems, missed work, emotional distress and delayed my Mother getting proper medical care. He is a horrible doctor. My Mother has been going to Dr. Krystal since 2006. Kevin is hard to understand and the first visit, (which lasts about 10 minutes) and is basically him telling you he's going to run tests at the next appointment. And it costs 600$. Oh, and there's a chance your insurance won't cover this whatsoever, and they don't check beforehand. Go anywhere else. I've never felt so scammed by a place that is supposed to help me. I just want to get better, and now I'm just distraught and 600$ poorer. What a terrible place for taking advantage of people. Dr. Krystal has been a great help in treating my ailments and I am grateful for that. Unfortunately, it has been extremely difficult to pay bills and request refills on medications. Their phone lines are only open during office hours and there is no option to leave a voicemail outside of those times. Patients are penalized for not paying bills on time but they make it nearly impossible to do so - especially with no option for online payment. I’ve had a few astonishingly rude encounters with office staff, once being told “you aren’t going to die without it” - referring to a medication they refused to refill due to a late bill, even though I had called multiple times over the course of two weeks trying to pay said bill. I think a new operating system should be implemented in order to avoid these issues. Patients should not be held at fault for the disorganization of this practice - especially when they are meant to be serving those with neurological problems. The Doctor was very knowledgeable and professional. He took the time to explain what he thought was my problem. The staff was very helpful and professional.

I have only been a patient of Dr. Kristl for not even a year. I was very shocked and upset when all of a sudden I was told Dr. couldn’t do anything else for me and was going to send me to a pain doctor. I have RSD, restless leg syndrome for 30+ yrs that is neurological and has nothing to do with pain. Dr. changed my medication one time and it didn’t work for me, and I called several times to let them know. Then when I called see about medication that my insurance denied I was told that doctor would no longer see me and was referring me to a pain doctor. When I was told this I didn’t even have a chance to ask any question I was just hung up on. I am 69 years old and highly upset to be left so suddenly with no help and no explanation of why all of this had to take place.??

Going on three days without my medicine. Started calling on the 6th and it’s now the 9th. My pharmacy even sent 2 emails and I left multiple messages with no response. Dr. Kristl is very knowledgeable and very personable. He's very easy to talk to. But you have to get past the rude, careless, front desk staff first! Not to mention the inaccuracies in billing and insurance. When I asked if they had ever read their google reviews... I was dismissed from the practice!!!

I've been a patient of Dr. Kristl's for nearly 20 years. HE's one of the most professional and caring Dr's I've ever met. I owe my life to him. As for his staff, they are always polite and helpful. As for the negative reviews, pls notice some are written by self-appointed Google reviewers who lack self esteem, so they need to tear people down with BS to make themselves feel better. The others reviews are by people who expect everyone to wait on them. If you follow their negative reviews of Dr. Kristl, you will miss out on being treated by one of the best doctors in Michiana and probably Northern Indiana. After waiting almost a month to see him , He ordered full MRI for rest of spine. Then I had to wait almost another month for next visit to reveal that my spinal cord was being crushed by C4,5 and C5,6 discs. Which he said I needed to see a neurosurgeon to have operation asap.I waited for a week for a referral but never got one. So I call my PCP for a referral and got on right away and got surgery within a week. Best thing I did was get referred to Dr.Losiniecki @ I-Spine. Operation was perfect. The staff is awesome the doctor has no bedside manners but he makes up for it by being the smartest man in the room

I saw Dr. Kristl for many years and he addressed many health issues I have. His older nurse who mostly does insurance paperwork and handles prescriptions was not keeping my records up to date. When I questioned it I given a drug which was followed by a letter saying I was no longer a patient. Now I am forced to look for another neurologist with all the problems I have. He basically is letting he control his practice and soon someone is going to take him to court. She should be fired.

I took my client with special needs here for an appointment . They made us wait OVER AN HOUR - staff sit behind the counter and gossip like a bunch of little high school girls. Unprofessional and EXTREAMLY TIME CONSUMING . Good doctor though after you’ve aged 25 years to see him

Everything is good as far as the wait time which I come in on time to my appointments Everytime I sit waiting a hour up to almost 2 to be seen .

While I understand some folks saying they've had contact issues, the quality of the care Dr Kristl provides supersedes that. He has done things that no other doctor even considered and has literally saved my life. He found interactions that no one had in my almost 40 years of care. Once he got me on a new track I got to start to enjoy life again. He is also helping me with other issues and I would never change neurologists again. Dr. Kristl is a very caring doctor. When he diagnosed my husband with early on set Parkinson's he has done nothing but give him the most and best care any doctor can give a patient. Especially since one doctor, I will not name names, it is unprofessional, but had told my husband that the issues my husband was presenting were above his pay grade!! Dr. Kristal was able to diagnose him in one visit. He also was able to take me on as a patient as well when I needed assistance. The time in the office can be long but that is because he is always giving his FULL attention to each patient. He isn't trying to rush you out the door like fast food. All of his staff are FANTASTIC!! The girls always call back with in 24 hours or less when you call in for questions or medication refills. I would recommend Dr. Krsitl to ANYONE! I've been seeing Dr. Kristl for a couple of years. He is my first neurologist I've seen for my migraines. I would recommend him.

Dr. Kristl is odd & getting direct answers is challenging. Recently, I have called several times & never got a callback. Very frustrating.

I agree, I have been on hold with operator to connect to someone for 37 minutes! Insane! Also, they turned away a patient for being involved in Worker's Compensation. Seriously!

Dr. Kristl and his staff are awesome. They are very informative and nice. The tech , Michelle who hooked me up for my 48 hour EEG test was awesome and answered all the questions me and my wife had.

The office staff was great. Everyone was very helpful and friendly. Dr. Kristl was wonderful. He explained everything and he was very thorough. He asked relevant questions and stayed on topic. I was very impressed with him, and his staff. I did have to wait a little while, but I was notified of that when I checked in. I would highly recommend Dr. Kristl My background is in Functional Medicine, so I when I took my son for an appointment, the bar was high. Dr. Kristl did what any good doctor should do, he recommended the safest and surest line of care. He was cautious as to not over prescribe. Furthermore, he was super friendly and explained everything including proper next steps and preventative things to incorporate.

Been patient of Dr Kristl's for quite a few years.Dr K & staff have always treated me w/respect.I've witness what staff put up w/daily w/rudeness/disrespect from patients. They handle it best as a human being could. They alone cannot control insurances,state laws & scarcity of neuros,etc. As patient learned being proactive for yourself, prepare for follow ups, much more is accomplished.Dr K will never cut appt short until everything addressed. Might make your wait longer but worth it.GREAT Dr!!

great doctor

I have Just started seeing Dr. Kristal for seizures and can't say anything negative about him or his staff. He has been very informative about everything he does and plans for me. He is very polite and takes the time to talk to me about my issues. As for his staff they have be awesome to me and my wife. As a matter of fact I just had a 48 hour EEG test being done on me and his nurse Michelle who hooked me up with the electrodes was so awesome and answered all the questions me and my wife had.

Dr. Kristl takes a lot of time with his patients, answering any & all questions you may have & makes sure you have a full understanding of your condition. Not only is Dr. Kristl very kind & compassionate, he is very knowledgeable in his profession. I have seen many Drs in my lifetime & have had several bad experiences but I would, without hesitation DEFINATELY recommend Dr. Kristl to anyone needing a neurologist!

Kevin Kristl is an absolutely horrible person. If you suffer from any type of migraine (chronic or otherwise), he and his staff will treat you like a criminal and a drug seeker. If you suffer from any type of pain, Kevin Kristl cannot and will not help you.his nursing/support staff are as bad as he is, if not worse (if that's even possible). I have never been to a doctor who cares as little about his patients as Kevin Kristl. He should definitely have his license to practice medicine taken away.

As far as my experience with Dr. kristl it was amazing. I was referred to him by my neurosurgeon to have a neurological consultation to determine if surgery was necessary. Dr. kristl determined that it was, and supposedly sent that information to my surgeon... A month later I am still waiting for them to send the consultation. His note is the only hurdle from me getting the surgery I need! And now they are telling me the file is corrupt... It's been over a month since I was seen. My STD claim and my major surgery are completely dependent on Dr. Kristls note and they still haven't fixed the problem!!! OR called me back after I've left numerous messages.. Dr.Kristal is a EXCELLENT Dr !!!! His staff has always been super nice to me an treated me with resepct. He always ezplains everything from my procedures he wants done to my meds change. I would always recommend Dr Kristal !!!!!!

Staff is very rude, I will never go back because they make you feel very uncomfortable, I called in to tell them to tell the Dr, the reason I wasn't coming back to him was them and even told them on the phone that I doubt they would pass that on to the Dr. as I asked for him to call me and never heard a word, so as I assumed they did/t say a thing to him. I have been a patient of Dr. Kristl since 1999. I think he is,an excellent doctor. Anything I have ever needed (paperwork , changes or adding medication... or any questions I have had he has always fully answered and done this in a timely manner. I have been to other neurologist in the area and by far would recommend no other.

the staff is very poor as far as getting infusions set up or sending records to the other drs. the last staff person said for me to not yell at her i wasnt and very discouraged by them. he is a in go between dr for now. i understand he is busy. but they dont have to be rude and they say one thing but dont do what their suppose to do.one dr called me and said he never received a fax or records from them and so i called them and tonya said she fax again. very frustrating.

I switched to Dr. Kristl. because the other dr i wasnt satisfied. This Dr. takes his time and understands and answers our questions. I thank him for being here and he is helping me alot with this condition of CIDP . He has compassion. and his staff is wonderful. thank you jennifer sigafoose south bend.
