Did my back surgery 8 months ago..did great but now having edema in spine. Got to gave epidural injections but he doesn't do them himself.

I am more than pleased with my experience. When I went to Dr. Sauter I wasn’t able to stand up straight and was unable to walk more than a few steps and the pain was Unbearable. After surgery I am able to stand up straight and walk and am pain free. Dr Sauter explained what the surgery would consist of and was very understanding of my problems. I am very pleased with the outcome of my surgery. I am also pleased with the way that Dr. Sauter took care of my needs. I feel like I was in someone’s care that was doing his best to take care of my problems. I think that Dr. Sauter is a fantastic Dr. and a great person.

Dr. Sauter was friendly, concerned, and up font about the whole procedure. I knew precisely what to expect. His handshake was firm and genuine. When he spoke to you, he looked at you in the eyes which to me speaks volumes about a person. He visited me 2 or 3 times while I was in the hospital. His surgical skills speak for themselves. No matter who I encountered in the hospital, when I mentioned his name, had nothing but positive words about him. I am truly pleased I had him as a surgeon!

Absolutely wonderful experience he explained everything well he was very straight forward and took great care of me while I was in the hospital with a brain injury. My wife and I could not ask for a better experience or a better Doctor he was phenomenal! Five stars isn’t enough to explain this experience

Excellent doctor and staff. Dr Sauter is very concerned about my problem and gives a great deal of thought to the best solution. He explains the procedure in detail. Im very pleased with his level of care.

Thank you! I am no longer in pain. Back surgery on May 6 and I feel better now than I have in two years... Pain free.. Doing about whatever I want to... Amazing doctor, amazing staff! Can't thank them enough!

Dr sauter is good he done 3 surgery's on my back and done 1 surgery on my husband.

I have never met a doctor so rude in my entire life. I wouldn’t recommend this place to anyone. I don’t know how this Kent sauter, has any clients. He doesn’t deserve to have dr put in front of his name. I will be filing a complaint with the university of Tennessee on this guy. I don’t ever complain and have never a review on anyone but this guys needs one so other people don’t waste there time going there. I literally can not walk and have fallen out of my vehicle multiple times and he tells me there nothing I can do go to physical therapy. I said I can’t even walk and he said does it look like have a magic bullet to make this better. He didn’t even tell me what was wrong with me he just said go to physical therapy there is nothing I can do for you. This guy is a joke

I was feeling like Humpty Dumpty when I first met Dr. Sauter- prior to- none of the king's horses and none of the king's men remembered assessment 101- identify the problem before ordering treatment- 155 sessions of physical therapy for problems pt could not improve...It's entirely possible I may not have been a bundle of joy by the time I made it to Dr. Sauter- It turns out I had previously met (the south end of) the king's horses and had yet to meet any of the king's men. Dr. Sauter is unequivocally the greatest of the king's men. He said he would put me back together again- and he did. Priceless.

Dr. Sauter is an expert in his field and I would recommend him to anyone with neurosurgery needs.

I went to see Dr. Sauter because of hip discomfort and strange sensations in my legs and feet. He took the time to explain the cause of those symptoms was spinal stenosis. He took me into another room to view my MRI and further explain what was happening. Though surgery may be necessary somewhere down the line, he explained it wasn’t needed now and recommended physical therapy to strengthen my back and take pressure off my spine. I appreciate his professionalism and desire to find a solution that didn’t require surgery or medication.

I’m still healing. He has helped me tremendously so far. Not just him but the entire staff

My rating pretty much go to the staff . The wait time was very short . In fact , my drive there was longer than the whole visit . Dr comes in the room , seems nice at first . He goes on to confirm what my spine specialist found on my MRI, then tells me it has nothing to do with my pain and there's nothing he can or will do . When I ask him what is causing my pain if that's not it and he tells me he doesn't know and that I'm going to be in pain until I die . I walked out and bawled my eyes out . Worst experience in my life. Very rude, could not explain my diagnosis. Told me to deal with it because I'll be in pain until I die. Had me bawling my eyes out by the end of appointment. Took me longer to drive there then I was even in the office for.

Made no effort to listen or explain anything just acted like i was taking his time. After a year of pain i came in with hope and left with none. Also was very rude which escalated into an argument. Not something a patient needs is getting scolded while trying to feel better.

So far not impressed with his Scheduling Staff. More detail tomorrow

I have several health issues. Diabetes, heart issues, copd among other things . I was taken excellent care of love his bedside manner.He explained everything so my husband and family understood completely. Would not hesitate to use him again.

Great surgeon!

You must sign a pain management consent form before you are allowed to see the doctor. I asked to discuss it with the doctor before I signed it and the front desk staff said no, "you must sign the form before the doctor will see you". If that is how they treat you before you are an official patient, I can't imagine how they must treat you once you are a patient.

He has a very bad after care attitude. When you ask for answers to genuine questions, his replies are vague. Takes no accountability for things that may be wrong. Treats younger patients with ill regard and offers no alternatives. Releases you to go back to work to your insurance company but neglects to tell you. Offered no note or update involving restrictions. Would not recommend this physician to young adults.

I have had to have 3 back surgeries, all of which were due from a teenage accident on a motorcycle, and I have had the honor and privilege of having Dr. Sauter as my surgeon on each surgery. And I can honestly say that with each surgery I had minimal to no pain and recovered extremely quickly! I lobe Dr. Sauter and the entire office staff, they literally care about you as a person not just another face walking through the door. And that is very hard to find.
