Great place for vein ablations. Continuing care not so good.

I went to Advanced Vein Center for treatment of an acute hemorrhoid. I called up around 8:30am and they said they could get me in for an examination & possibly for treatment (depending on what they see) at 1pm the same day. I was impressed with the knowledge and concern that even the receptionist had on the phone. Once in the office, I was seen by the intake nurse, and then by Dr. Kara. I have to say, all the staff at AVC were extremely caring and considerate towards me. Especially in this, shall we say, not proudest of moments... it was very nice to be treated by people who genuinely seem to care. At this age as you can imagine I've been in many doctor's offices. Usually you feel like a cow on a conveyor belt, as they poke & prod and write notes in your file or punch things into a tablet. But not here at AVC. I can't repeat enough how they worked hard to get me in, see me, and treat me. If you do find yourself in this horrible predicament, I hope you get over to AVC and get treated. This is medical care about as good as it can get. So glad I went, and just 6 hours later I'm already feeling much better.

My healthcare provider at Advanced Vein Center was excellent: explained in detail, prompt, professional, pleasant. The facility is lovely and the staff excellent.

Excellent care

I mostly saw Dr Osorio and Karah for my procedures and both of them did a phenomenal job! I had to get procedures done on both my right and left leg and they made every visit very comfortable. I love Karah and have so much trust in her! She is a joy to be around and most importantly did an amazing job making my legs feel and look so much better. Office staff is unreliable and unprofessional. The woman scheduling my appointment, must have asked me to repeat the same personal information 2-3 times over. Appointment availability was 4 weeks out. Staff waited until the last minute to verify my insurance only to find out that the office is now out-of-network on my Aetna PPO Insurance. Had to cancel appointment after waiting 4 weeks. I would recommend finding another office. Office staff is unreliable and unprofessional. Wonderful staff! I do not write reviews often but when I do, the company is deserving of the praise! This company has their act together. OFFICE STAFF: From the moment I called their office, the staff is humble, personable, kind, gentle, and professional. Most doctors offices that I have gone to, the front desk, office staff, and customer service are not usually that great. At Advanced Vein Center, they really cherry pick the best and the brightest and the most caring. DOCTOR: From the moment he entered the room, he was on top of his game. He took the right amount of time to hear my issues, concerns, and made sure he understood me (the patient). He asked open-ended questions to make me think. Dr. is very pleasant at 1st introduction, but then my care was handed over to Jackie NP or PA (I'm not sure which) who is very nice but I only saw the Dr. one other time during my planned treatments (approx. 3-4 mos.). Long story short, I am extremely disappointed with my results. My legs are worse than when I began! Plenty of spider veins left and 6 dime-sized black marks below the knee on one leg. I would go to another Dr. If I could afford to have redone.

After 15 visits, I know everyone in this office pretty well, and I can say without hesitation that it is one of the most professional, competent, caring and respectful healthcare providers I have experienced. Veins are Dr. Osorio's specialty, and he and his staff did a great job of diagnosing the cause of my leg problems. They developed a treatment plan, obtained insurance approval, and now, after having completed my treatment, I can see tremendous improvement in the health of my legs. I just completed treatment on both of my legs and I can’t believe what a great experience this was for me!! I’ve suffered from varicose veins for most of my life and this non-evasive treatment has brought my legs back to good health again!! The staff is professional and friendly and I have referred many(and will continue to refer) to seek care here! My insurance covered almost all of the cost - just had an office co-pay. I am currently a patient of Dr. Osorio and Eric Johnson. I highly recommend this practice to anyone who has issues with varicose veins or vein insufficiency disease. Dr. Osorio and Eric Johnson PA-C are absolutely wonderful. They are extremely thorough,efficient, informative and personable. The staff in general are all super nice and welcoming. I have suffered for years with venous insufficiency in both legs and varicose veins which caused my legs to ache and hurt at the end of the day. I also had unsightly legs due to the varicose veins. Dr. Osorio performed the laser ablation and Eric is now administering the sclerotherapy injections which are all part of my treatment plan. I can honestly say that my legs feel fantastic! All of my visits with Dr. Osorio have been a pleasant visit. Upon realizing what my problem was, it too me awhile to wrap my head around the issue. In doing so, I probably was not the best patient, but Dr. Ororio never gave up and together we got life back on track and thank goodness. I have had leg pain for many many years. Varicose veins and leg pain are heredity in my family. My past experiences with a vein doctor left me with pain and swelling so I was very apprehensive to try another doctor. It was after getting a referral from another friend that had similar issues to me that I decided to try again. I was so happy with the entire experience. From the Dr, Shelly, front office staff, all the nurses - it was a great experience. They really listened to my issues and got almost all my treatment covered by insurance. They really go to bat for you and really want you happy with the final results. I have already referred another friend to this office and will only be going back here each year for followup treatment if needed.

Everyone at Advanced Vein was consistently friendly, kind, and welcoming and the treatment I received was exceptional!

After considering clinics in Flagstaff, I made over 20 trips to Dr. Osorio's clinic in Mesa, some 3 hours away for treatment. I never regretted it. Not only is this doc of the highest skill and integrity, the other providers--Kara, Shelley, and Eric (I saw them all)--are equally excellent. Karen, who runs insurance claims, is incredible. She efficiently reversed a denial of payment, never hinting that defeat was even possible. The MA's and front desk are tops too--teamwork prevails here!

Drs Osorio, John and Norton are the BEST!!! the prcedure was not "fun"...but the Doctors are the best...we haveto do "battle" with my Insurance...but, that did not keep them from being pleasant and totally professional...the BEST!

I also have lymphedema and when I have had problems with the swelling they have sent me to a lymphedema clinic for treatment. twice.

My initial consultation and diagnosis was by Dr. Osorio, however, my appointments and procedures were preformed by Karah Norton. She accommodated my schedule by offering late appointments, she is not only highly qualified but very efficient, taking pride in her work and abilities. I will trust her with the care of my veins.

Dr. Osorio is a very nice man. He is very concerned about the well being of his patients. He went out of his way to try to find a fix for my unusual leg problems and called to see how things were progressing. I definitely recommend Dr. Osorio.

I "graduated" today after my second round of vein treatments. My first round was 2 years ago along with Laser surgery at that time. The staff is always so friendly. My vericose veins are gone. I had ugly veins popping out of my legs.... no more. I highly recommend Advanced Vein Center!

It's hard to compete with the previous reviews but everything they say is true. The Drs. and staff are very professional, competent and personable. You almost hate to have the treatments end (even though you have to wear the compression stockings after each treatment in 100+ degrees weather). I had a very positive experience with Dr. Osorio. He was very professional and explained every detail of my diagnosis and the procedures that would be done on my veins. He allowed adequate time for my questions and made me feel comfortable in my decision to have the treatments.

I had a vein procedure by another doctor and I was in more pain then when I began the journey. Dr. Osorio was recommended by a good friend in the medical field and she was 100% correct. He explains everything and answers all questions. You feel very relaxed when you know you are in good hands. In three months time I can honestly say that my discomfort is almost gone and I feel it was the best!

I had 12 treatments within 8 weeks (lasers, injections, and phlebectomy ). I have never, ever experienced such incredible care at a doctor's office before. I would recommend without hesitation the health services of Dr. Osorio and his staff. They delivered what was discussed in the most non-invasive process possible. The staff is exceptional and treat the patients as extended family. The facilities are new and impeccably clean. They strive to keep on schedule respecting your time. I DO ! why? because without major surgery, without full anesthesia or a hospital stay (as one doctor suggested) Dr. Osorio and his staff eliminated my hemorrhoids in a series of 10 minutes procedures. While it might be difficult or uncomfortable to talk about.. so are hemorrhoids. If any of you have been humbled and laid low by the almost unbearable pain of a thrombosis or similar.. you know what I mean. To walk into Dr. O's office in pain and walk out pain free is HUGE. To be able to go right back to work when you couldn't even sit down before.. HUGE RELIEF. I just finished my last treatment today after starting 4 months ago!! I had injections every week, with 4 laser treatments, 2 flembectomys and numerous schlerotherapy....It was very bittersweet as I had grown to love the entire staff and the way they comforted me and made me feel like "family"!!!! I was somewhat skeptical when my doctor suggested vein treatment. Wasn't that a cosmetic procedure for which my insurance wouldn't pay? Weren't veins part of growing older? Was I wrong! My insurance covered the procedures as medically necessary so my cost was very minimal. As the treatments progressed, I noticed how much better my legs felt; I was able to sit for longer periods (as on a plane ride) without the discomfort that I had previously endured. And once the work from the treatments healed, my legs looked great! My adult daughter is envious of my legs! I like the office and medical staff in Dr. Osorio's office. They almost never keep me waiting and are always very pleasant and efficient. The treatments were often uncomfortable but it was worth it....I would do it all again. My experience at Advanced Vein Center was excellent. The majority of my treatments were with Karah who I would highly recommend. She was thorough, professional, and personal. Her assistant Elsa was also extremely nice throughout the process. Some of my appointments were with the other staff members and I always felt very satisfied and well taken care of by them and their assistants. Most visits I checked out with Jessica who was always very nice to me. All of front office staff were pleasant and accommodating every time I called or came into the office.
