Professionalism, bedside manner, continued guidance for months after the procedure and attentiveness to every question during the process in a quickness. She is also very attentive to the dangers of providing care based on outside influences and conditions. If she says, for instance, she will not perform a procedure due to advanced complications risks based on an existing health condition, it is always due to her concern for the patient. Dr. MacPhee is a competent and compassionate surgeon. She was always available if we had any questions or concerns. We had an excellent experience and are very happy with the results.

Looked at the transgender reassignment surgery pictures in her gallery and am horrified. The MTF breast augmentation look awful too. Not a patient of hers but just am shocked. People really need to do thorough research on surgeons for these surgeries. Take the time and don’t rush.

Dr. MacPhee was absolutely amazing from start to finish! From the initial consultation, to pre op, to post op she’s incredibly knowledgeable and professional. Not once did I feel left in the dark or uncomfortable. The surgery itself went flawlessly without a hitch and was followed up by thorough post op care.

One of the worst surgeons for GCS. Lied to me and several patients, claiming to have trained under Bowers. Bowers own clinic denies this. Look for yourself, her results on her page look absolutely horrid. I'm severely depressed and absolutely crushed with my botch job. Please choose someone else.

I had FFS with Dr MacPhee, she was wonderful. She answered all my questions and explained everything in depth. She put me at ease before surgery. She visited me a few times as I recovered in the hospital. She did great work. I am very happy with the results. I would recommend her to anyone.

I recently went into Dr. MacPhee's office for a consultation for a tracheal shave and chin contour. I have visited with several other surgeons, many that attempted to talk me in to multiple facial restructuring procedures that I did not want. Dr. MacPhee listened to concerns & my desired areas to focus on, explained both of the procedures in great detail making me feel comfortable as I really had no Idea how they were done. While I was in my consultation she found the time (not scheduled in my appointment) do my lip injections and routine Botox. I have been having these procedures done for 10 years, and I have never had a doctor do a more artistic job! I left the office with a surgery date of 11/20/19 with the help of Sue (who is the absolute sweetest) for my chin contouring and tracheal shave. The office, consultation, and injection procedures assured me that I have made the right choice in surgeon. She is extremely brilliant, compassionate, and has a great sense of humor. I had the most wonderful experience with Dr. MacPhee & her staff! She made me feel secure in my decision to have my procedure.

I think my first contact with Dr. Keelee [MacPhee] was in the Fall of 2015 and my surgery was in May of 2016. Having had three different prior surgeries for other issues in my abdomen, I wasn't even sure that the surgery I wanted would be wholly possible. Among the offices I contacted, several never called back, all that did, wanted an initial visit before considering the surgery (pretty reasonable, actually!) and one strongly suggested I consider a less complete alternative before ever offering to set an appointment. Out of all the offices I contacted by phone, Dr. Keelee's office was by far the most personable, something that didn't stop with the call. I was also impressed with her knowledge of the specific concerns that I had, her sincere and warm approach to my concerns, her natural inclination to thoughtfully accept a more challenging case to help me get what I wanted, her willingness to work with me to moderate my out of town travel costs, her bedside manner while I was recovering, and the access she offered once I was back home. I don't consider myself to be a needy sort of patient, but with a surgery like the one I had, post-op contact was an important consideration. As I thought would be the case, she never missed a beat! On the billing/insurance filing side of things, Sue was outstanding, doing exactly what needed to be done when it needed to be done. Perfect, simply perfect! A year and a half later, I'm still extremely satisfied with both the outcome and the experience! If I had to do it all over again, I most assuredly would! Any regrets? The first contact I had with Dr. MacPhee was a consultation appointment on July 29, 2015 to discuss Gender Reconstruction Surgery and Breast Augmentation Surgery. Being a 64 years old transgender woman and never having had any kind of plastic surgery I was definitely apprehensive about what I was getting myself into. After spending so many years never feeling comfortable with my body I had made the decision to take corrective measures. My first impression of Dr. MacPhee was a person of professional knowledge and confidence with large doses of compassion and caring thrown in for good measure. She was very thorough in explaining both procedures including expected results as well as possible complications for both procedures. In the course of our discussion I found out that Dr. MacPhee had been doing Breast Augmentation, Breast Reduction, and Breast Reconstruction surgeries for over a decade, but just recently started performing Male to Female Gender Reconstruction Surgery. Dr. MacPhee informed me that if I decided to have her do my surgery I would only be her third patient for this procedure. Gender Reconstruction Surgery is not exactly something one takes lightly, after all you pretty much have one chance at having it done right, that coupled with the fact that Dr. MacPhee's limited experience with this procedure would certainly justify concern. The truth is I didn't hesitate to ask how soon we could schedule surgery. The professionalism, confidence, and compassionate posture portrayed by Dr. MacPhee made this an easy decision. Before I left the office that afternoon I scheduled both procedures to be done on August 26, 2015. I am completely satisfied with the results of both surgeries, everything went as planed without complications. Post surgery experience confirmed my first impression of Dr.MacPhee, She truly is a very caring and compassionate person with skilled hands gifted with the ability to bring happiness to so many in both the cis gender and transgender communities. Her bedside manner is absolutely fabulous, and the number of follow up calls and or texts checking on progress was something unexpected but greatly appreciated. Something that I think will help anyone reading this review understand my satisfaction with the surgical results of my Gender Reconstruction Surgery are comments made by other medical professionals. Several months after my surgery I developed a urinary track infection which required a visit to the emergency room. During the course of that ER visit at least three doctors and five or more nurses found reason to see my private area (I think the fact that I was the first post op transgender female treated at this particular ER had something to do with the number of professionals involved with my care). What was interesting and gratifying about this excessive attention were the comments made by these doctors and nurses. Comments included “Whoever did you work was an artist” “Everything looks so natural” “If your chart hadn't noted that you are transgender I would have thought you were a natural born female” As anyone can imagine these comments confirmed my choice of surgeons as being a very good decision. I highly recommended Dr. MacPhee to any transgender woman contemplating MTF Gender Reconstruction Surgery. I have had a great experience working with Dr. MacPhee. I am a FTM trans man and had a double mastectomy procedure. From my consultation to a few months post-op she showed care for my well-being and was ready to address any questions I had. She made sure that I knew what I wanted and explained the recovery before the actual surgery, which did prepare me as much as it could (without having experienced anything like it). She makes an effort to use your preferred name and pronouns and such. She and her secretary, Sue, have helped my life greatly. Dr. MacPhee is by far the most caring doctor I have ever met with. Not only is she an amazing surgeon, but she is aware of and sensitive to trans issues. I had FTM top surgery in March and I couldn't be happier with the results. I would highly recommend her.

I went to see Dr. Macphee. I wanted to have Forehead contouring . She didn't think I would really need that. I think that was a very honest trait . Other surgeons might have pushed you to have a procedure done. But for some surgeons like her ,it isn't only about the money but for being honest and doing a good job . Thank you!

Dr. Macphee is one of the nicest most understanding and proffesional doctors i have been treated by. Aside from her great work on my surgery (bileteral mastectomy with nipple grafts) her follow ups and consultations show her dedication and proffesionalism towards her patients. Dr. MacPhee, Sue, and the whole surgical staff were amazing. The doctor has a very calming presence that put me at ease even the morning of my surgery. My actually surgery turned out great and I am 100% pleased with the results. My aftercare was also great. The doctor even put up with many texts from me when I had concerns. I fully recommend this practice to anyone seeking the procedures she provides.

I had transgender top surgery with Dr. MacPhee in July. The entire experience was fantastic, from the consultation, to the surgery day itself, to follow up care. Dr. MacPhee was extremely compassionate, as was her receptionist, Sue, and her entire surgical staff. Due to no fault of Dr. MacPhee, I developed an infection post-operatively, but she cared for that even giving me her personal cell phone and taking time to talk to me on a Friday evening while she was at a hockey game.

I had excess skin removed from my stomach as a result of weight loss surgery in Octobet 2013. The survey left me on my back for over 2 months with a wound vac. To this day I still have pain in the incision. While hospitalized at Tex Hospital in Raleigh I got a serious infection that extended my hospital stay almost 2 weeks. I went into a state of depression that left me unable to eat or function on my own. My initial consultation lasted approximately 5 minutes. That's because I asked questions.
