I really liked Dr. Messenger. She seemed genuinely concerned. Very pleasant atmosphere. Felt like she really had time for me.

My son and I decided we needed a second opinion concerning my elderly husband. He was diagnosed with dementia and alzheimers! We felt that this was totally WRONG. WE got the referral and was eager to see Doctor ( Messager) she did a complete examination, including a list of all meds that he was taking.I am pleased to report that the test results and expert advice, I am pleased to report that my husband is no longer the zombie that he was. HE DOES NOT HAVE ALTZEIMERs.. I THANK GOD FOR Doctor Messanger. She has ordered a brain MRI she saw edvence of a stroke.

She was very nice, thorough, and a great sense of humor. She really listens,and cares about her patients!! I love this Dr.!!!

Dr. Messenger and her team of nurses are PHENOMENAL. They care about their patients, response time is exceptional, and just a really nice team. Dr. Messenger is exceptionally smart, takes her time with you, just a rare jewel! I trust her with my health

Dr. Messenger takes the time to listen and really help solve your migraine issues. After having migraines for 12+ years and seeing multiple neurologists, she is the only one to actually provide a regimen that has helped me! She is full of knowledge and is willing to go the extra mile to get you feeling your best!

Great doctor. Listens to what you say.

Outstanding service. I was called to the back on time, Dr. Messenger was quick to get to me, we took care of the business that we had to take care of, and I was gone less than a half an hour.

Dr. Messanger was very attentive and thorough with my consultation. I have alot of symptoms going on and no diagnosis so far with my case. I left the office reassured that she would help me get to the bottom of the problem to the best of her ability. My physically challenged son was recently assessed by Dr. Messenger, and as his mom, I could have not been more pleased with the outcome. Explained my symptoms continously, I felt like I wasn't really being taken seriously,the doctor seemed as she wasn't believing much of anything I had to say, I also mentioned to the Katherine Messenger that I wasn't able to work and wasn't fit to work, because I couldn't hold my balance,weakness, tiredness, always sleeping, barely moving around,,could not do anything such as for self and others ,it took two days just to clean my house, I could barely dress myself it was struggling, pick my feet up,was literally having to drag my feet in order to walk,feet paining,,continously along with my right leg, ankles, tenderness and feet, occasionally back,hand and arm numbness and still I got or felt no sympathy from her.I noticed also on the lab work and RX the was ordered and prescribed,,that she was ordering and prescribed these as remission medications for patients, that has through up a red flag remission,?? This was my first time talking theses types of medications, I recently got diagnosed I said to myself, even though I ve had a strong hunch I've been mis diagnosed by a few doctors in.the past for just arthritis and those doctors didn't want to believe me I told them I just didn't think it was just arthritis, I had one doctor said I was exaggerating, like really just unprofessional needless to say I pull my records after had be going to this doctor as a kid, I was very disappointed that this doctor would of said a such thing to a patient.I feel like people would just go to a doctor just to if not wasn't wrong with them. She has always been a pretty cook Dr to me. She is throughout and easy to talk to. She never pushes you away or make you feel like she is too busy. No one in her office makes you feel small. They are a great group of professionals. It just takes alot to get to their office but I appreciate them Very much. Thanks Dr Messenger and staff.

Move back to Hattiesburg from California in July 2018. Been seeing Dr. Messenger since I arrived Mississippi. I am an already disabled(1999) patient with numerous ailments . I have not have a consultation, started with office visits only. She never stop to understand my history, she just started placing me on the meds she wanted me to take after I said my meds were fine. I need a neurologist that I can trust to do surgery and manage my neurological issues. The medicines I came from California with are fine and are doing great. Every visit started out with trying a new medication instead of first see how Im doing and the medication you prescribed is doing….She has sent me for several MRI’s and testing that I have not received results for. I had been having stokes since 2019 found out June 2021 that I have had several ischemic strokes is all she could tell me. And did not think I need any other care. I had to push for her to finally send me to UMMC. Finally made it to UMMC only to find out I was sent for my migraines only and not for my brain scan results or followup. She sent the doctor a report asking if I could be a candidate for botox instead. And of course I am not a candidate for Botox with the strokes happening. Yet, this doctor had no information in regards to my ischemic strokes, and was not informed that I would be bringing the BRAIN scan information, so I sent pass BRAIN & MRI cd’s & xrays alone with the most recent same test in which Dr. Messenger sent me to take in which I never received results or treatment. UMMC Doctor that Dr. Messenger sent me too, I saw Dr Willis @ UMMC on 10/12/2021. She sent my results via certified mail. On my scheduled followup with Dr. Messenger on 11/18, she had NO answers for me regarding what’s happening with the ischemic strokes. She stated she do not have results and refused to see what happened as to why she would not have my results. She skipped over that and back to the sales pitch of medication. I’m having stokes you can’t tell me why or what’s happening but you want to keep pushing more pils?????As to this day, I feel totally misled and abandoned by this care. Left to figure it out. Thank god I have people who care for me. What about those who get caught up on taking medication to solve every aliment. After 23yrs of being disabled, physically challenged now mentally & emotionally disabled, due to taking these 24 medications on a constant some 2-4 times a day. My stomach or body function system can not take it anymore. Along with vomiting now 3-4 times a week and do not know why, yet…..? Move back to Hattiesburg from California in July 2018. Dr Messenger takes her time with me and really tries to understand the help I need. She also doesn’t rush thru with me to get to the next patient and that is a big deal with me.

Dr. Messenger spent a very long time talking to me and reviewing my history. She was compassionate and sympathized with the pain I was having. Great appointment!

Dr. Messenger is a caring person. I really like her. She takes her time ⏲ to listen to your comments and complaints. She then gives it her best too fit your needs.

Assuming it was the office manager, but she really needs to develop human relation skills to deal patients who have anxiety and or PTSD.

Was told she was one of the best when Dr. Millette went out of practice. But once again a doctor that's going to send me to other doctors for something my last neurologist helped me with. I went to her because of my migraines and she called me a liar and said I was just trying to get out of work and the military. She was incredibly rude and 1/10 do not recommend ever going her. I found out later I had chronic migraines everyday and I coulda got help years earlier if it wasn’t for the POS excuse of a doctor.

Dr Messenger has been my Dr for about 15 yrs. Out of 30 years of having MS she is the greatest thing to happen to me. Thank You Doc.

She listens which is rare among doctors, is concerned, very humorous, and as I leave Hattiesburg to return home to Chicago, it is a great sadness as I know I’m leaving her behind. I have been seeing Dr Messenger for a number of years now. When I first started my life seemed to be on the brink of collapse from rebound, cluster, and chronic migraine headaches. To keep it short and sweet...... She saved my life. She changed my life. And I will be forever grateful...????????????????

Dr. Messenger is an excellent doctor. I found her to have excellent bedside manners and very professional with excellent, thorough care. I previously gave her 4 stars because wait time was very extensive, but since my review and last visit, it was very much improved. Couldn't be happier with the care I recieved!

She was incredibly rude, inappropriate, and completely inaccurate. I do not recommend to go to her and I think she needs to be fired. She is just lazy and halfasses her entire job. Her performance is a standard for the worst doctors out there.

I would not recommend Dr. Messenger. I went to her office because a CT Scan at the emergency room revealed a brain injury. I asked her if I could get a MRI, and she told me my insurance did not approve it. I called my insurance, and found out she lied. She never sent in an authorization for a MRI. My insurance called her, and when my insurance representative mentioned my name, Dr. Messenger's office hung up on my insurance. I do believe I was discriminated against on the basis of race. I am considering filing a Bar Complaint with her Medical Bar Association. In addition, I could never get an appointment with her. The office said she was very busy.

This place is pitiful they make your appointment for 10 your still waiting 2 hours later to see the Dr. What'sthe problem some patients are in pain and can't sit that long.

I saw Dr Messenger when my doctor retired. She was extremely pleasant and professional. She did not want to continue one of my meds (which I completely understood given the lack of my previous docs medical records and the type of medication). She did write it for a lesser dose with my agreement. Performed some test in office and order additional test to ensure my diagnoses had remained unchanged Making fu appt to review results. VERY happy with her and her staff. Treated me fairly, listened to my entire history, did not make a snap judgement. She has some reviews that are not favorable and I was a little apprehensive.....do not make your decison and her until you actually meet and see her. She was GREAT! After seeing other reviews, I’m glad it is not just us who had a bad experience here. She was very condescending and rude to my husband and me. We told her when we first came in that he just wants the migraine pain he has EVERYDAY to be lessened. That he doesn’t want to be at work and have a flair up and have to come home. She blatently asked if he was just looking to not work. We just want his pain to stop and are tired of condicending doctors judging us. We will be finding another doctor, and I hope she reads this. Amazing experience, easy and too the point. Dr. Messenger was super kind and empathetic. The entire appointment was very efficient, if i could i would give her 6/5 stars!

First scheduled patient of the day, yet she seen 3 others before seeing us. Wait time was over an hour.
