Dr. Kathleen Shepherd Koljack

Dr. Koljack really knows her stuff! She is an excellent pediatrician and has always advocated for my child’s best care. She even detected that my child had moderate autism before I could even notice anything amiss (I have older children, so this wasn’t my first child, and I still didn’t pick up in it right away). She was quick to provide contacts and referrals to excellent services for my child, which I would otherwise had no idea about.

Our son has seen Dr. Koljack for at least 10 years. We've been using the clinic she is at for much longer. She is thorough. She does a good job and takes the time needed to find out what is going on with your child. I recommend her and Utica Park Clinic Jenks to any and everyone.

How is this woman a pediatrician? I have taken my kids to her 3 or 4 times thinking maybe she was having a hard day or something, but she is consistently rude and every single time i leave feeling like I am a horrible parent. She is cold and condescending and self righteous. Do not talk unless she speaks to you first. I genuinely can’t believe she works with kids. Never going back.

We were put into her patient rotation when our doctor left. After a year and a half of snarky, unconcerned and inadequate care, berating over minor issues, and finally outright disrespect, we are done. It wasn’t as irritating with an older child but with an often sick preemie, her blasè care now feels potentially dangerous.

It's sad that a provider is more obsessed with making you jump through hoops than prescribing a medication your child has been on for 7 years. As if other providers,University of Miami, University of CO and Stanford know less than her. I have spent hours calling to get records, seeing her, trying to reason with her office, and now I am spending hours finding a new set of doctors, because she wasn't listening during the first office visit when I told her the history. Arrogant.

She was very condescending and did not take time to listen. My 3 old daughter answered her question with a short story and this Dr responded 'Yeah, it was really just a yes or no question.' I did not feel that she gave us the time we PAID for and was very unsatisfied with our visit. She does NOT need to work with children. We will never go back there.

Great experience. I feel she addressed current medical and future/anticipated needs. We never felt hurried. This has been the second time we've been to see her. Both times were for annual physicals.

Dr. Koljack was my pediatrician, and now she is my son's. I would recommend her highly to anyone. If you are looking for a doctor to mollycoddle you or make idle chit-chat, Koljack is not for you. She is no nonsense, and she knows her business. She is quick, discerning, and doesn't spend a lot of time asking unnecessary questions or attempting guesswork. If you are looking for someone efficient and knowledgeable, she's who you call. Underneath her somewhat bristly demeanor is a heart of gold.

Dr. Koljack was the only doctor who found out what was wrong with my daughter. We had been to many different doctors over the years and she spotted the problem right away. Is she the most personable and friendly doctor I have ever seen? No, but I would pick her over any of those with great "bedside manner" yet have not a clue. I am glad we found her!!!!

Dr. Koljack was recommended to me by a former coworker. We went for a new patient visit and well child check but she seemed indifferent about us being there. She didn't take the time to get to know my daughter or her past medical history. She spent very little time with us for it to be a new patient. She didn't even seem to enjoy her job working with children. Perhaps it was just the end of the day. Or we had a misunderstanding. We won't go back. My daughter didn't seem welcome or important.

Was not impressed! I want someone who wants to take care of my baby. Some doctors just care about making money and not the patients. It really shocked me when she turned my 7 month old away! He was having shaking spells and refusing food. She would not see him at all until I got it on video. They told me to bring him in we set in the waiting room for 30 min then she wouldn't see him at all. I switched doctors first thing the next morning!!
