Karl Michael Schmitt

He put my wife's back together when I scarred my spine and I could not walk it has taken me 3 years and 8 months I can use my right leg and I am working hard to use my left leg he is the too number one Dr I would send any one that would need a great doctor

Dr: Schmitt saved my life. My head was split open and wasn’t sure if I was going to make it or not. He performed surgery on me and my brain was swelling and doctor Schmitt once again saved my life. I would recommend him to anyone needing help or surgery. He is a great guy and very intelligent. He is amazing at his job and makes sure it is done the right way. His staff is amazing too! His nurse miss Debbie is very informative and very kind to all patients. She took my staples and stitches out of my head and did an excellent job. I had L4/L5 micro-D surgery with Dr. Schmitt over 10 years ago after I pulled my back and developed extremely severe sciatica and no luck with PT and steroids shots. He was incredible. I am stronger than I was before surgery. He’s a little quirky to talk to (haha) but a very talented surgeon. I would trust him with my back time and time again. He has excellent staff too! I fell off a ladder at work broke my neck,I could not make my own decisions now after being fused back together approximately 2 months latter they send me back to this doctor and he tells me directly to my face he can not do anything else for me.I would really like to know if this is because workers comp and money. Here I sit a year and a half later in immense pain and their system of doctors tier Hermann hospital won't even try to HELP me I can I Only figure because workers comp.kicked to kirb.

June 12, 2010, I landed in the trauma bay of Memorial Hermann. I was told that I would have to have surgery to fix a broken bone in my back. Dr. Schmitt was my surgeon. Five days later, I was having that surgery and was up and *walking* before I ever left the hospital. Six years later, my hardware is stable, my scar is almost non-existant, and I owe my life to this man.
