I would highly recommend Dr Onel to anyone !! Most experienced and knowledgeable rheumatologist doctor . You will be truly satisfied!

Dr. Onel is great. Very compassionate. Takes time to exam and explain. Personable. Excellent with children as well as adults. I highly recommend. Also failed to mention - on time.

We just had our first appointment at HHS with Dr.Ambler and Dr.Onel. Our 6 year old has suspected HIDS (rare type of periodic fever syndrome.) I reached out Dr.Onel while searching for a second opinion and she was absolutely amazing at accommodating us. Both her and Dr.Ambler made us feel heard and took the time to really talk to us answer all our questions and make us feel reassured that we will figure out what was going on with our daughter and the safest and most effective way of treatment. They helped us with the 504 for her school right away, and took our input very seriously. Most importantly they made my daughter feel safe and comfortable which is very hard for her when going to these appointments. They go above and beyond their duty! Doctor Onel cared for daughter when she worked here in Chicago and when she decided to love on it was such a tough blow to our family. Dr. Onel was amazing with our daughter, caring, patience, well informed and really just a hands on doctor. She wasn't like most doctors, you can tell she was passionate about her work. Dr. Onel would wear this necklace that my daughte loved to play with and everyone single time she had an appointment Dr. Onel, would explain why she wears it, never getting annoyed with my daughter. Very disappointed. Dr. Onel had us keep a behavioral diary, but ran no blood work. She told me to feed my children free range organic chicken and herbs. My children have PANDAS and could have been diagnosed much sooner had she helped. Simple blood work would have been an easy thing to do. I cried when we got the diagnosis years later. If you are looking for a PANDAS dr, do not go to her.

Liar , misdiagnosed .

She is the brightest kindest doctor, she gave us hope and confidence at a time when we had little of both. Thanks to her, my daughter Michelle has thrived since her diagnosis. She is a superb student and part of an undefeated freshman soccer team. We will always be thankful to Dr Onel. Thank you to her and her staff
