Dr. Karen Beth Kaufman

While care was great in the beginning when pt demand was lower, overall I do regret putting my care in the hands of Dr. Kaufman. Most of the nurses have been nice to me but they lack consistency in areas like response time (results, prescription). They also are not well-trained and do not know the answer to most questions asked. Dr. Kaufman is very hard to get ahold of and get an appointment with. My health condition has worsened since starting allergy shots. Despite informing nurses for months that my symptoms have been worsening, Dr. Kaufman continued giving me shots without discussing the symptoms in depth. When I did have an appointment, on one instance I had 2 minutes of her time then she left to see another pt. On another, I got 4 minutes of her time and it was clear she did not want to answer my questions or did not know the answers to them. Overall health needs to be taken into account before starting allergy shots and I do not believe mine was before starting treatment.

Ran late to my appointment and brushed off my important questions. I echo what others are saying and that she does not have adequate knowledge on this expertise. I will advise to go elsewhere.

Very late, very rushed, did not seem to have updated knowledge pertaining to my allergic condition. Went elsewhere and had a better experience. I really tried to like her, but was not the best!

Dr. Karen Kaufman lacks communication and up to date allergist knowledge. She was 45 minutes to my five month old's appointment regardless of us being on time with our arrival. She was hard to track with and failed to mention important information about the accuracy of allergy testing. She has not responded to a portal message regarding a time sensitive question that relates to the outcome of my child's discomfort. She or office staff transferred information incorrectly to the portal and shred the original piece of paper with the correct data needed.

She failed to mention the back prick tests are more than half the time false positives. She has not responded to a portal message regarding a time sensitive question that relates to the outcome of my child's discomfort. They tested my son for orange but did not list it as an allergy tested and when asked for the original sheet of paper they used to circle allergens tested and give scale of flare and wheel, I found out they had shredded it. Really disappointed overall.

Dr. Karen Kaufman is an AMAZING doctor/professor! She takes the necessary time to explain what your condition is and all the various methods of proper treatment. Her bedside manner and demeanor eliminate any reservations one might have for seeing a specialist. Doctors with her inherent skills restore confidence and are a true example of what the medical profession strives to achieve! She is truly one of the very BEST!!

Dr. Kaufman is in one word EXEMPLARY! She's a superb diagnostician, is a great listener, asks thought provoking questions-- which helps her connect the dots. She's always been prepared (reviewed my chart & data before greeting me. She's warm and delightful, explains and educates, never rushes and is always on time (which is amazing consider the time she takes with her patients!). She's a rarity!

Dr. Kaufman is incredibly professional, friendly, and thorough with her patients. Easily the best doctor I have had in a long time. She takes the time to get to know you, hear what is going on with you, and offer solutions. I recommend Dr. Kaufman without question!
