I started going to Dr. Moza September of last year. I suffered from back pain, and neck pain. He evaluated my condition, and let me know what surgery I needed. I had Lumbar surgery in September and it went great. I just had Cervical fusion surgery in February. Dr. Moza specializes in his field.Dr. Moza and his entire staff made me feel very comfortable. The surgery staff was great as well as the front office. I'm sooo glad that he was recommended by my Attorney. My family and I would like to thank you Dr. Moza. Not only your a great doctor, but a really great person. May God continue to bless you to help people like you did me. I recommend him highly. Now I can go on and live life pain free. Dr. Moza could be the best surgeon in the world.. unfortunately I will never know. His staff is rude, disorganized, and condescending to the point I didn't feel comfortable moving forward with him as my surgeon. His credentials are impressive but that doesn't;t overcome the way the office made me feel.

My dad asked me to post this review for him. Jaime Pace age 60 Dr Moza is second to none. I’ve suffered with back pain for over 30 years due to eight herniated discs. I’ve tracked Dr. Moza‘s progress for quite some time before I chose him as my surgeon. The first surgery was a cervical disc replacement and has been a total success. Our second surgery was a lumbar fusion and due to its complicated nature, Dr Moza was my only choice. Dr. Moza and his staff are wonderful! He removed a growth in my lower left back that had given me pain for 10 years. The size of it was in between an egg and a tennis ball. Immediately after the surgery my pain was gone (except for the pain from the incision, but that was actually WAY less than the pain I had been experiencing for so many years). I am so happy to be pain-free now and I even plan on taking up golf again soon.

My first surgery ever and I'm pain level has been between 0-1 1/2. Was able to walk several times down the hallway and steps without assistance of a person or a walker. This Doctor is AMAZING.

I went to Dr. Moza to have my second spinal fusion done after my bones didn’t fully grow back from my first fusion by a different doctor which resulted in a broken screw in my spine. Honestly, Dr. Moza and Yvonne made me feel like I had family members taking care of me through the entire experience. The surgery itself alleviated the pain I felt due to the broken screw. Dr. Moza called me the night after my surgery to ensure I was doing okay, Yvonne checked in on me all the time and they were always readily available to answer any questions and assist me with any concern I had. If you get surgery done here it will be by an amazing surgeon with a great staff that will help make something like major surgery (which could be scary) a fairly easy experience. Went to see him to have a Laminectomy done after exhausting ALL avenues of PT and other forms of non-surgical remedies. I'm still the same as before I saw him. He claimed that my spinal discs had opened back up to normal and that I could resume a decent quality of recreation activities. Very unpleasant with no good result! Waited for over 5 hours for my procedure, partly due to the fact that his new Mercedes was delivered from the Dealer at lunch time so I was delayed. Communication was very poor with him including follow up. His staff was slightly better but not overly energetic. It's been a few years and I'm right back where I started going thru PT and dealing with constant lower back and leg numbness and pain! I highly recommend to anyone that is thinking about this type of procedure not to rush into it and evaluate all other options before making this decision.

I cannot believe this office!! I went in for a consultation and was told I was covered by my insurance (which I wasn't), and then they had the audacity to send me a $500 bill 4 days after my appt. Just when it couldn't be worse they send me a second bill for $500 a week later!! It is painfully obvious to me what is important to them!! So unless you have $500 to $1000 to waist, don't choose this one. Worse part is I chose not to use moza before this all happened what a waist! I cannot believe this office!! Dr Moza is really dedicated and expert in his field. I did cervical neck surgery last week. He was caring, compassionate and reassuring. Staff is great especially Yvonne and Candace. I totally recommend him.

Dr. Moza, Candice, and Yvonne are by far the most amazing experience I have ever had with a doctor’s office. He has given me so much hope for a healthy and fulfilling future and his staff was so patient and kind with all my questions and needs. Eight years ago, when I was 15, I had surgery for chiari malformation at a different hospital done by a different doctor. The whole experience was miserable. I was in and out of the hospital for a month and I was constantly in tears because it was so painful.  I went back to my doctor at the hosptial 10 months later and told him that I still had all the same symptoms and the pain was still there. In a round about way, he told me that he was head of neurosurgery and that there was no way my pain had anything to do with the surgery he performed. To him, it was something else so he referred me to see multiple other doctors and to seek out other forms of pain management. I was adiment about finding something to relieve the constant pain that I received from my chiari. After three years of seeing every type of doctor I could think of, I gave up. I thought that there was no hope for me and that I would have to live in pain the rest of my life. It put me, and my family, through a lot of stress and I was depressed because I had no hope for a successful future. I thought the rest of my life would be taken over by constant migraines, headaches, light sensitivity, etc. There were times when I thought there was no point in living because having to live the rest of my life in this sort of pain was not worth it. Then came 2019 and I decided that for my New Years resolution, I would seek out a healthier and happier life. I was turning 23 and I didn’t want to live in the state of despair and depression that I became so familiar with. In August I made an appointment with Dr. Moza, he performed surgery on my mom and my brother and they both are living healthy and happy lives so I went to him in hopes that he could help. Dr. Moza was the first doctor to instill hope in my future. He was the first doctor to not write me off and pass me onto another doctor. He took the time to listen to my story, to explore my pain, and care about what I had to say. After looking at MRIs, he saw that the previous surgery I had was a failure and that everything needed to be redone. Before jumping into surgery though, he set up multiple appointments with various pain management doctors to make sure that there was no other option. After tryin everything he referred, I still had pain so he decided to proceed with the surgery. I was anxious because I didn’t want to go through the same thing that had happened previously but I was hopeful and trusted him. I’ve now had my surgery and I am pain free. For the first time in ten years I am not experiencing the pain that become my normal. I have hope to finish school and pursue my career because there is nothing in my way. I has lower back surgery by an orthopedic surgeon in Thousand Oaks about one year ago. Ten months after surgery I still had the same pain as before and my situation was getting worse until I visited Dr. Moza. He looked at my post-surgery MRI and concluded that the fist one had not addressed the the sources of my pains. He discussed my options and a week later, he performed the surgery at his Centurion Surgical Center which is a state of art facility and extremely comfortable. Upon completion of minimally invasive surgery, I woke up in recovery room with a smile and without any pain. The operating team was friendly and caring yet professional. His staff, particularly Yvonne and Candice were helpful and supportive in every possible way. Day after surgery, for the first time in a long time, I felt pain free, happy and looking forward to future! I have been suffering with horrific back pain for 3 or 4 years now, with major lumbar issues resulting from a back injury. I have had several epidural injections by my Pain Management doctor, Dr. Kumar, out of Valencia, as a temporary fix. In researching and word of mouth referrals by many, we ended up deciding on Dr. Moza. He is an amazing surgeon, that ended up fixing my problem. He was quick to get me in for surgery, as he could see how bad off I was! His office staff, Yvonne and Candace, are superb in what they do to make you comfortable, taking on such a scary surgery. I am a very active 43 year old and had a large 14mm bulge at C6/C7 with terrible pain, numbness, and left arm atrophy. I met with 3 neurosurgeons and felt like Dr. Moza was the most knowledgeable about my case. He recommended a disc replacement. I am so grateful to Dr. Kapil Moza, not only for his brilliance as a surgeon, but for his compassion and his uncompromising commitment to my health. For three weeks I suffered the most excruciating pain I have ever felt. After trying all conventional measures to alleviate my pain, rest, ice, pain relief and three chiropractic visits my pain remained at a constant crippling level. I called Dr. Julie Stark who immediately ordered an MRI and called Dr. Moza asking him to see me immediately. I got in right away to see Dr. Moza and he suggested trying the least invasive option to relieve my pain first. Dr. Moza personally called a colleague to see me the next day to perform an epidural. The epidural provided no pain relief and Dr. Moza expedited getting me in for surgery two days later. During surgery Dr. Moza performed a nerve conduction test before and after the procedure to accurately assess the results of the surgery. The test is rarely if ever done because of the additional time it takes to perform it. Dr. Moza being a perfectionist did the test. Dr. Moza removed a large 2cm extruded disc fragment that was twisted into the nerve root at L-3 and L-4. This required a very delicate procedure to lift the nerve root in order to remove the fragment. If this was not enough, Dr. Moza discovered a cyst on the left side of L-4 and L-5 that was on the nerve. Four years earlier I was diagnosed with a condition called foot drop leaving me unable to flex my foot and walk normally. I was told that this was due to nerve damage and there was nothing to be done for this condition. Dr. Moza removed the cyst, which was not part of the original scope of the surgery. I no longer have foot drop. Dr. Moza kept in continued contact with my daughters and Dr. Stark before and after the surgery. The next morning Dr. Moza came to the hospital bright and early. He walked with me and released me immediately to recover at home. I have suffered from Type 2 Diabetes for the past twenty years and my blood sugar was out of control at this point. Dr. Moza was concerned and took the time to give me specific diet and weight loss advice and encouragement to restore my overall health. I have had surgeries in the past and those surgeons dealt only with the part that needed repair. Dr. Moza dealt with all the aspects of my health. In addition to Dr. Moza , his staff is amazing. I called the office on New Years Days after spending all of New Years Eve in the ER. The awesome office staff called me back on New Years Day, along with a follow up call from Dr. Moza. They opened up the office early for me the next day to be seen. In short I was very well taken care of and necessary surgery scheduled after decades of Lumbar back issues. Post surgery, direct all hours access to Dr. Moza with any questions is incredible and very helpful.

Dr. Moza is the most brilliant neurosurgeon in the world!! I just got out of the hospital and will update my review as time goes by but I have to say that I believe Dr. Moza just saved my life on many different levels. I had a previous 6 level cervical fusion 3 years ago with a different spine surgeon and I have been in pain and getting worse and worse since the surgery. We came upon Dr. Moza online and through much research and a couple office visits, decided to have the surgery. I suffered from most frightening symptoms of cauda equina syndrome due to back injury by various therapists violently manipulating on my back and scatic over the past year and saw many specialists for spine, pain management, neurological etc. All of them couldn't diagnose the source of the symptoms and most if not all, turned me to other doctors without being able to help in any sense. In desperate, I found doctor moza online and made an appointment immediately. Unlike all other doctors, he took my case very seriously and quickly comprehended my very complicated and long lasting situation. He made immediate arrangements for a mri done in the same hour and talked to the radiologist then followed up with me for the results 30 min after the mri not even waiting for the written reports. As my situation feels emergent surgery type, his great care, full attention and truly humanity is of most impressive and heart warming! He has everything a patient in real need would love to have from a great doctor, knowledge, care, effort, attention and patience. I felt fully assured finally as under his care. Based on the mri findings, he referred me to another doctor for injection as there is no indication for surgery. But I will still follow up with Dr moza for any major decision about my treatment. About a year after my pregnancy, I was still suffering from what I thought were standard pains that come with carrying a baby. But it kept getting worse – spasms, leg weakness, pain walking/sitting/standing and constant discomfort became my norm. I treated it with physical therapy, Pilates, chiropractic, work accommodations like a standing desk, OTC pain relievers and more, but nothing really helped. On Christmas Day, my pain peaked to unmanageable levels. I was near constantly in spasms. I was miserable and scared. The day after, I went in for an MRI and was told I needed a neurosurgeon. I’ve known Dr. Moza through my work for years and was aware of his incredible reviews. Because we’ve worked with him for half a decade, I also knew he was a really nice guy. He was my first call. Still, this is surgery – so I was pretty nervous when I limped into his office. That immediately dissipated when he stepped into the room. He was so disarming with his quick wit and colorful commentary, I laughed despite my serious pain. The news wasn’t what I wanted to hear, but the way he explained it made it manageable. He showed me that I had a Gobstopper-sized disc compressing my spinal cord, explaining the damage and why surgery was necessary. He explained all the details of his treatment plan for me and answered all my questions without rushing. Before I left, I had a date scheduled and pre-op paperwork in hand. Within a week, I was back in the wee hours of the morning for my minimally-invasive spine surgery with Dr. Moza. Words to express my admiration, respect, absolute awe and most of all, gratitude, for Dr. Kapil Moza, simply do not exist - he is truly a gift. Dr. Moza is impeccable, in every way - his talent, intellect and compassion, his kind and warm personality, his immaculate and comfortable office, and last but certainly not least, his wonderful staff - Yvonne and Candiss are accommodating, friendly and so helpful. I met Dr. Moza while experiencing extreme nerve pain affecting my arms, and surgery was his recommendation, specifically C5-C6 artificial disc replacement with Mobi-C. I was shocked and full of fear, as I had never experienced any nerve pain before and I had no history of disc or spine problems. That said, my pain was excruciating and I could hardly use my dominant, right arm. He spent time with my husband and me - answering our questions with understandable, thorough explanations and thoughtful empathy, as well as articulating other options to consider. Close friends of mine who have experienced nerve pain and had epidurals urged me to avoid surgery if possible, as did friends and loved ones who are physical therapists. I received a second opinion also recommending the artificial disc replacement with Mobi-C. A mother of four, having never had any apparent spine issues, and having never seen a neurosurgeon, I had a lot to consider. After 31 years as a professional Firefighter my spine was in bad shape , Dr Moza has done two fusions for me and the results are incredible . I lost the feeling in my right leg and foot and was able to move both and had full feeling in the recovery room . He takes his time in his office to explain the entire process , he sits you down in his private office and explains the results of your MRI Xrays ect . Dr. Moza explained my surgery in a way that made it manageable. He showed me that I had a Gobstopper-sized disc compressing my spinal cord, explaining the damage and why surgery was necessary. Dr. Kapil Moza, a doctor you can't go wrong with! He is a genius mind. I had been suffering for two and a half years with pressure and pain in my head and spine and i had seen the best of the doctors in India as well as in United Kingdom but no one could ever give me a diagnosis. And its been the hardest time of my life, after struggling and suffering for more than a couple of years i travelled all the way to California from India and with god's grace i met Dr. Kapil Moza, and as soon as he studied my scans he came up with the a diagnosis, there weren't one but two head surgeries he did on me, and once Dr. Moza diagnosed me every doctor i met agreed with his diagnosis and was taken a back as they were looking at the same scans as he did but only he figured out the real problem. He is that kind of a doctor who would never ever operate on you and conservative is his first approach, and only and only if necessary he opts for surgery, this is a rare quality in a doctor, trust me after meeting at least 10 doctors, many wanted to operate on me for something which wasn't even the cause of my problem. I suffered for years in dibilitating pain bouncing from one specialist to the next racking up medications and co pays that made no difference in my life. I was finally referred to Dr Moza. I had two visits with him another round of MRIs and he caught what 7 drs had missed and ordered an immediate surgery to stabilize my neck. This past February, I had emergency neck surgery. I have been in a lot of pain for the past 21 years due to wear and tear of my job. However, in the past 9 months it has been getting worse so I have seen my fair share of chiropractors, massage therapists, etc. One day in February, I woke up and my entire left arm and hand were numb. I went to my doctor who ordered an MRI and by the next day was told I had a protruding herniated disc with a pinched nerve causing the numbness. He told me if he had a daughter he would send them to Dr. Moza. I had never been in so much pain in my entire life. I called him at 5pm and he saw me first thing in the morning. Even though he had other patients he moved everything for me. One look at me and he immediately gave me pain relief. He held my hand and ensured me he would take care of me and help me. Unfortunately, I had taken Ibuprofen which is a blood thinner so he couldn't perform emergency surgery. So instead he gave me an emergency epidural steroid shot in my neck. Thankfully I was finally given the emergency surgery a few days later. He removed the disc, and I had an anterior cervical discectomy in the C6 and C7 with a fusion with some pretty cool new titanium screws. I woke up in recovery with a smile on my face. Great success. I had been experiencing increasingly severe nerve pain that diminished my quality of life for several years, to the point where I was unable to do even simple chores. Dr. Moza performed a laminectomy from T-12 to L-5 elven months ago. Since then I have had no nerve pain. While I am still recovering my muscle tone, it has been a real joy to have my quality of life back!

I’m 44 years old and had 6 cervical surgeries in 3 and a half years. I was referred to him by my primary care doctor and I got an appointment 2 days later. I am currently seeing Dr. Moza regarding a disc degeneration and spinal nerve impingement problem I am having. Dr. Moza is very knowledgeable in his field. He is very nice and not at all an alarmist. We started with a non surgical approach and we will see where that leads. Update: I am very happy with his care and recommend him highly. Ultimately after modalities failed to alleviate my pain, Dr. Moza recommends a surgical approach. I will be giving this careful consideration, once I have the time. Best of the best. I was struggling for a long time with pain and discomfort without any answers to my underlying problem. Dr. Moza is the only surgeon you should go to!! Save yourself the trouble I went through, I needed a disk replacement at my L4-L5 and a fusion at my L5-S1. My previous Dr. drove the screw through the center of my nerve on the right side, it took him 5 days to admit he had done something wrong only because another Dr. at cedars-Sinai that checked in with everyone,every night was worried about how much pain I was in after a fusion and sent me for a CT scan... Dr Moza did surgery on my back on Sept. 11, 2013. I can;t even begin to tell you what amazing work he does. Two weeks after surgery I was brace free, feeling human again and able to sleep peacefully and walk normally. He is certainly a life saver in my opinion.
