Dr. Thakkar is the best! He helped my younger brother go through his procedure safely and answered all our questions and concerns. I highly recommend Dr. Thakkar!

Our visits with Dr.Thakkar have been awesome. My son has been seeing him since he was 4 months and he has always been very attentive and helpful. what i really I have never felt rushed out of his his office. Thank you Dr.Thakkar

Dr. Thakkar is thee BEST!! My now 10month old started seeing him when he was 3months old. He provided him with the BEST care and even if I was frustrated Dr. Thakkar remained positive and reassuring that things would get better. Thanks to Dr. Thakkar and staff my son is doing GREAT and moving on. Thanks Dr. Thakkar!!!

Dr.Thakkar and his staff is WONDERFUL. Dr.Thakkar is very personable, patient and everything regarding my sons treatment was explained very well. Dr. Thakkar staff is excellent and conversant about my sons case and the drs plans. Special shout out to Bobby (Dr.Thakkar staff member)

Dr. Thakkar is very thorough and professional. My son has dealt with chronic constipation since birth and he knew exactly what to do. Dr. Thakkar actually takes the time out to listen to the patients concerns. I am very grateful for Dr. Thakkar!

I am very impressed with Dr. Thakkar! I took my 16 year old son to Dr. Thakkar because of possible GERD issues. Dr. Thakkar took the time to make my son feel comfortable and answered all the questions that had been worrying him. We ultimately had to schedule an Endoscopy. On the date of his procedure, Dr. Thakkar again made sure to answer all of our questions and put us at ease for the procedure. I am grateful for Dr. Thakkar and his continued care. Dr Thakkar is AMAZING! Within a few weeks of seeing him my 8 yr olds issues were completely resolved. She feels so much better, no more heartburn or constipation. She’s like a new kid!

Helped figure out my newborn daughter’s GI issue. Gave us tips and tricks and she had no problems!

We took consultation from Dr. Thakkar for our new born baby. Our baby had frequent spit-ups, little appetite for feeds, and had trouble gaining weight (was falling of recommended growth curve). Dr. Thakkar worked diligently to first try different formulas to weed out any potential food allergies and while doing so helped us establish a routine for baby's feed. The changes and recommendations were hard to follow and to be honest many friends and family felt we were being too harsh on the baby. However after couple of months we could see the benefits with baby feeding reasonably better and retaining his growth rate to where he should have been. Wholeheartedly recommend Dr. Thakkar for new born baby consultation, especially for first time parents who may have trouble establishing a disciplined routine to feed their child.

When our infant son was suffering from constant reflux and lack of weight gain, Dr Thakkar quickly identified the problem, monitored his condition until the proper formula was identified, and customized a feeding schedule that met our baby’s needs. He’s our hero. We now have a thriving 2 yr old.

Dr. Thakkar is absolutely amazing! I would highly recommend! He took his time at every appointment to make sure he answered all of my questions and concerns! I completely trusted him 100% with my daughters care.

We ended up going to our appointment two days early because the scheduler told us the wrong day. However, Dr. Thakkar agreed to see us and we did not have to wait long. Office staff very polite and helpful. The doctor listened to all of our concerns, gave dietary advice and medication and we'll be following up with him in a month. He made my daughter feel very comfortable and eased both of our concerns. We ended up going to our appointment two days early because the scheduler told us the wrong day. I highly recommend Dr. Thakkar! Outstanding! He gave the BEST recommendations for my son.

Dr. Thakkar saved my daughter's life. I knew there was something wrong with my little girl her first week of life. All babies grunt and make noises, but she sounded like she was in pain and seemed uncomfortable. My pediatrician just made me try different formulas and sent me to Dr. Thakkar after a month. He diagnosed her with a milk protein allergy and found the right formula for my little girl and put us on the right path for weight gain and growth since she was severely underweight. He sent us to a great nutritionist and was so encouraging throughout the way. We saw him for 2.5 years at both Sugar Land and Katy locations and the experience with him and his staff was wonderful. We highly recommend Dr. Thakkar!

Dr. Thakker is awesome! After watching my grandson suffer with chronic constipation - and family doctors who offered no tangible help other than to "eat more fiber," we finally insisted on a referral to a specialist and got referred to Dr. Thakker. His interactions with my grandson (who was 3 at the time) were kind and gentle, allowing my grandson (who had been traumatized by more aggressive approaches from other doctors), allowed my grandson to feel really comfortable with Dr. Thakker before any exam was initiated. Dr. Thakker's suggestions were helpful, and more importantly, his treatment protocols worked!!! My grandson went from being miserable and suffering to a happy boy in a few days! The staff was great, too. If you need a specialist for your child, I cannot recommend Dr. Thakker enough! I only wish he saw adults, too!

Dr. Thakkar was unprofessional, rude, and did not even examine our son. We were referred there by our pediatrician for swallowing and digestion issues. Dr. Thakkar looked at my son's BMI (he is 41" and 44 pounds at 4 years old) and told my wife he was morbidly obese and that is the cause of all his issues. He basically called my wife a liar when asking about the food my son eats. Said he would not do any testing until he saw a dietician and got his weight under control. When informed of another medical issue our son has, which is degenerative, his response was "That's morbid." We wasted our time and money going to this rude, reckless doctor. I wish there was less than 1 star available because even 1 star is far too high.

Pathetic experience. I want to give zero for the rating. They put me on the call and said just a moment and went for the lunch break after holing about 20 minutes I called them again and the office was closed for lunch.

Rude and unprofessional. He asked me what the hell I was thinking? When we gave our son sugar free icecream. Yet the hospital staff allow him to have it. If we were in the wrong ok I get it, but tone and execution is everything. He could have definitely worded our conversation in front of my son differently. I'm not sure if it is just my Google Maps GPS or everyone's, but if you choose to receive directions from the business listing it takes you to the wrong location. The address listed is correct however. If trying to navigate to this doctor office type in the address and verify it is taking you to the correct location. I have requested an edit, but it's hard to do when all the information displayed is correct and the navigation is wrong. For me he is an excellent doctor

He’s an excellent provider, listens to you and make customized treatment plan with you.

Excellent! Professional and nice. Will give diet/nutrition advice along with medical options, which I do prefer to hear both.

I would give him a zero if I could! His negligence and lack of listening led to my son ending up in the ER. When I called as issues started arising he doubled down and got defensive that I would think his course of treatment was wrong. Very rude and unprofessional.

He's a very nice Doctor in my opinion. He's helped me out allot and he's been there with me all the way. Didn't see or hear about another doctor that wasn't him! Highly recommend him!

Dr. Thakkar is very smart and amazing at his job. He is extremely direct, and so be ready to hear something you might not like about the way you are feeding/caring wise for your baby. Whatever he does tell you definitely has a purpose so hear him out. He is so good at his job, and was able to get us through some of the hardest months of me and my husbands lives. Our baby boy had some reflux issues, and we basically worked through it together with Dr. Thakkar. I would recommend him to anyone.

Very condescending and rude. His diagnosis for my child's GI problem is "bad parenting". Absolutely lacks bedside manners.

Dr.Thakkar is amazing. My son has many GI issues. After many failed pedi GI doctors we found him. He listens to me & together we have a plan for my son. His nurse returns calls quickly and helps me tons battling insurance companies. What a breath of fresh air. HIGHLY recommend Dr.Thakkar.

He's a really nice doctor. I recently got an endoscopy done by him personally. I love the fact that he is the one there with me all the time. He is very friendly and attentive.

My 11 year old son had a persistent gastric issue, and Dr. Thakkar's thorough understanding, diagnosis and prescription has allowed my son go back to being a carefree child. I cannot thank Dr. Thakkar and his kind, caring staff enough, for the patience and diligence in addressing. I especially was impressed with his method of explaining to my son the situation and solution. I highly recommend his knowledge and services.

My family and I first met Dr. Thakkar when he was with TCH. He dx my girls and have kept them in remission for 5 years. We liked him so well that we followed him to Memorial Hermann. He is easy to talk to, has great bedside manner and has developed a great rapport with my girls. I highly recommend him.

He didn't help my daughter, she had a really bad stomach pain and he didn't give her anything for pain, and just to her to watch what she was eating, what she is doing for a year already.
