Dr. Justin Dominic Paquette

First you have to wait for your appointment as he is always running late. He does explain things well and I was so relieved when talking with him since he took the time to explain my whole MRI. “But, he said, the good news is that I can fix it!” It took another year until I could actually get into the hospital because of a name change in the hospital. I was supposed to be first case and wasn’t taken into surgery until about 5:30 PM, having to wait all day. I woke up and spent 5 days and then was transferred to a horrible Rehab center for 7 days and discharged myself as it was intolerable. I saw him twice after surgery in his office and he told me it would take at least a year to heal since the damage was so severe. It is now 2.8 years and I’m now permanently disabled. I never even had a chance to see him for my 3rd visit as the pandemic hit and he wasn’t doing clinic. He has no idea of how he left me which is 100X worse than I was before seeing him. I used to have an active life I mis!

Dr. Paquette is a great Surgeon. His procedures always yield great improvements. He’s the best. The staff is friendly and very helpful. Always a great experience when I visit Dr. Paquette.

Fantastic ..very caring and knowledgeable

Getting past his office female Connie is tough. She never returns calls and won’t let you leave a message for the Dr. As for him, he said he could “fix my problems” and has left me disabled. Now I find out that he may have been using bogus parts in the surgeries. I have no idea if the “cage” he placed in my neck is bogus or not. He and a group of neurosurgeons were taking kickbacks from the parts company. So I won my permanent disability case because of his surgery that left me worse than I was before the surgery. Now I can only walk with a walker and need to sit down often as I’m easily fatigued. I am so sorry that I put my trust in him and wound up this way. I have no quality of life anymore and can’t do most of the activities I used to love. Dr. Justin Paquette seems to be a great doctor. Seems to care and wants to help. I looked forward to him possibly helping me but there is one major problem. He office staff is the absolute worst. He only had 2 and the woman Connie is the most inconsiderate person I have ever encountered. The other guy seems sweet but seems out of his element. The lady will lie straight to your face, will not assist you in any way. Just trying to schedule an appointment with her is impossible especially since the other guy can’t do it either. Dr. Paquette rebuilt my entire lumbar back in 2015. He removed my L2, L3 vertebrae and replaced with a bone cage held in place by a plate and screws. My disc in L3-L4, L4-L5, L5-S1 were removed and spacers set to elevate my spine closer to normal. Two mental rods were placed on each side of my spine from T1-S1 with screws holding it all together. He used liposuction and concocted a special formula of my cells with something else to promote healing, it worked! Lol... I wish the level of pain I endured on no one. But for God's sake if you have run out of options, or would like some sort of normalcy in your life, Justin Paquette MD is your man! Mixed Bag. Dr. Paquette performed several procedures on me. The first one was when I had 4 broken ribs and he performed a Kyphoplasty which was successful. I had spinel stenosis surgery 3 years ago and it did not go well. After the first surgery I developed an infection in my back so a 2nd surgery was required. I was in the hospital for a month. I should have gone for a 2nd opinion...my bad. I'm crippled for life as my balance/core is ruined. Back surgery is so serious, always get a 2nd opinion.

The best spine surgery friendly and the best staff working in office.

They have the best staff and Dr Paquette is amazing the kindest and knowledgeable Dr I ever met he showed me exactly what was going on with my spine!

A MILLION STARS !!!! Justin is my hero and my holy grail... and his staff is phenomenal. Connie is extremely professional with all her many jobs, one of them being dealing with all the insurance companies is a major task while being very pleasant. She expedites all the patient paperwork efficiently with the help of Mario who runs the office with great zest is very pleasant and professional as well. Justin is FAB. I had 5 fractures in my spine T12, 11 and L3, 4, 5 and the pain was oxycodene time. I was devastated in January while being prepped because my platelets were low 61 and he needed them higher so he sent me home. Justin will NOT perform surgery until you are completely ready and will NEVER perform surgery JUST to get money. He said I could bleed to death on the table so I had to go to a HEMOTOLOGIST Dr. Ellsworth Grant to get an NPLATE SHOT to boost my platelets over 100 to get surgery where I was shot with cement. I’m a repeat patient. Nothing wrong with what Dr Paquette did almost 5 yrs ago...I was out kayaking 2 weeks before I took a bad tumble at work and injured a new area of my back. The ONLY doctor I’d let touch my back is Dr Paquette!!! I tell EVERYONE, he’s an awesome doctor and has a terrific staff!!! The wait to see him in the Fresno office is worth it! Please don’t be upset with the time you’ll spend waiting in the waiting room; he’ll be taking time with you too in the exam room explaining and discussing your case with you! Awesome bedside manner!!! Connie is a magician!!! If it can be done, she’ll make it happen!!! Mario is an Energizer bunny!!! These two work tirelessly to support Dr Paquette and help him so very much so things run smoothly! They’ll stay till the work gets done, skip meals, and just keep on smiling!!! ???? This office is unprofessional and just plain full of liars....if I could give them and the doctor no stars I would. He abandoned me prior to surgery and strung me along for 1 year. The office witches would scream at me for no reason and try to start fights with me. It was in -humane. The doctor I found in Folsom...Dr. Ravi. Was a gem. He did a great job and kept me alive where this dr. Paquette drug his feet so long, I was almost on death’s bed!!! Not an exaggeration either!! Be very careful if you decide to go with him and heed my warning...he’s just a “Hollywood” nut!!!

I had to have an emergency surgery in 2018 due to My disk growing into My spine and was paralyzing Me. Two doctors were called, but doctor Paquette showed up. Although I new nothing about him, he seemed to be a well respected and competent surgeon. The surgery went well, as far as I can tell but I am now almost two years post opp and still recovering. I still need more treatment but I'm dealing with some insurance issues. The staff members are a bit lax in terms of responding to or answering calls and follow up visits and such, but an extra staff member could help with those issues?? Over all I think Dr. Paquette knows his stuff and I would and have recommended him to others.

I am a repeat patient, with a new issue for Dr Paquette. I had my first major surgery almost 5 yrs ago...and it’s still in awesome shape! I’ve recently injured a new area of my back and would ONLY see Dr Paquette!!! Even though I had to wait awhile to see Dr Paquette in the Fresno office, I understood once he was in the room with me!!! He took the time to address my needs and concerns. He answered ALL of my questions. He showed and explained my MRI/CT scans to me. He discussed all of my treatment options to me and allowed my husband and me to have a voice in what option worked best for US!!! He’s the only surgeon I’ve ever met who doesn’t have a God complex!! And his staff?? Mario and Connie are personable, thorough, and dedicated!!! They go above and beyond!! Connie is a miracle worker with insurance, and I had a tricky case. In the end some things couldn’t be worked out, but it wasn’t for a lack of trying on her part!!! I recommend him to EVERYONE, even if he’s out of network!!!

Dr Paquette is a good doctor. It’s his office manager Connie who makes Dr Paquette look bad. If you ever have surgery with Dr Paquette and need to get to him after, you’ll find you can never get ahold of him. And when you express your concern to him about her he just let’s it slide. Connie will even but you on hold for 20-30 minutes and won’t think twice about answering your question or concern.

Dr. Paquette is a rare jam that you can find in the medical industry. He was attentive, patient, to listen carefully to my talk, how I got to this point with so much injury and pain from my exercise pattern that has caused the wearing tearing damage of my discs. Dr. Paquette sat next to me to read the MRI imaging together, explained the details, the causes of all of my pain. It means the world of difference to me when I have a doctor of full empathy and understanding of my pain. Dr. Paquette is not the kind of doctor who sees you for a few minutes, passes on some pain medication to treat your symptoms, BUT he is a fine doctor who is willing and dedicated his compassion to heal your injury. He is insightful, knowledgeable, talented, open-minded, and nonjudgmental. It is absolutely my privilege to meet with such a quality doctor. The office staff, Mario, and Connie are so friendly and helpful for my check in with the appointment. Thank you for all!

Dr. Paquette gave me life back after experiencing two disc ruptures at c6-c7 and c5-c6 both measuring around 10mm after being hit from behind in an automobile accident. He went above and beyond what I expected or could have imagined from a surgeon. He installed an artificial disc as well as performed a fusion. I had the pleasure of meeting Dr Paquette today to go over my CAT scan and MRI what a lovely human being.His reputation speaks for itself he's an Amazing surgeon! I know I'm in good hands. I have had and met with several neurosurgeons and by far he is the best choice for me.

Over the last few years We have met with Dr. Paquette. He is a caring and sensitive man and we have grown to appreciate him immensely. Including his staff in the Sacramento offices. They are wonderful. He performed a neck surgery/disk replacement surgery on my wife in March of 2017. He is extremely knowlegable, and the surgery was a complete success. My wife is extremely appreciative of Dr. Paquette and Staff and considers them family.
