My son was admitted under her care in 2012 w/fever and pneumothorax. Son had no history of illness epitome of health. She didn't see him for hours and once she did she put him into an induced coma with chest tubes. Never did she consult ID, she told me he didn't have pneumonia, the same day the pulmonologist stated "he obviously had pneumonia based on the XRay of unknown orgin, then she told me his labs were negative as he continue to run fever, and lungs continued to create new pneumothorax, idiotically told be it could be from a growth spurt... she was use to dealing with drown victims and took him for granted by not caring for him as an individual. It wasn't until the weekend MD took over, partly retired that started ordering test, called in ID, unfortunately my son had become so ill he had to go on ecmo which is life support. When asked why things were not done sooner the MD said I don't know, I walked in on the weekend with a dying little boy and nothings been done and no one knows why he was so apologetic, he begged MD Chi for echmo knowing my son was dying and that was a last ditch effort. He was transferred to the cardiac unit and received amazing care but my only son, my first born died at the age of 9 in 2012.
