About Dr. Judith Susana Bluvstein
Reviews for Dr. Judith Susana Bluvstein
I have never met a doctor who cares so deeply about her patients and their families. I have never felt so at ease in one of the most difficult times in my life due to my son’s seizure disorder. Dr. Bluvstein not only responds within minutes to hours to your messages, but thoroughly explains everything. She will go ABOVE and BEYOND all hours of the day and give your child the best care in the world. No other doctor has ever kept in close contact with me and responded ASAP. The first neurologist we saw wouldn’t even respond to my messages, call me back, etc.we were just another number. As a very worried parent, I can truly say that this doctor has been our savior. My words can’t even begin to explain what she has done for my son and I will thank her for the rest of my life. She is as close as a superhero in disguise as one could get. The people below who gave this godsend of a doctor and person horrible reviews must be reviewing the wrong doctor or perhaps were having a bad day themselves. Judith B. Isn’t even capable of treating people poorly. The second she started speaking I knew she was the exact doctor and PERSON we needed in our lives. If you get to read this Dr. Bluvstein, I hope you know what you mean to my family. Thank you for all that you’ve done and continue to do for all those you care for. Such a caring physician. She was very thorough and answered all my questions.
Dr. Bluvstein is the most amazing doctor out there! The kindest and treated me like her own child. I would give 10 stars if possible.
After receiving our son’s devasting diagnosis at 7 months old, we entered the office of Dr. Bluvstein. She was our second opinion. We were scared, confused and desperate at that point. Dr. Bluvstein was exactly what we needed, she took charge when we couldn’t and became our voice to care for our son. I can’t say enough about her. She advocated, educated and generally cared for us. There was never an questioned unanswered or a concern ignored. She went above and beyond to assure that our son was receiving what he needed. We will forever be grateful to have her in our life. Judith is an amazing doctor and amazing human. She is extremely carrying, nurturing and very professional. She takes every case to heart- her patients are really like her family. I have been lucky to know her for over 15 years as my child’s neurologist and I have to say over these 15 years we became very close friends. Judith is incredibly passionate about helping people. She doesn’t care about accolades or awards as she just want your child to get better. The fact that she is bi-lingual and an immigrant herself allows her to really relate and understand people of different backgrounds better. Judith is a true rare jewel in medical profession. If you are lucky enough to get an appointment with her you should feel like you won a lottery. She won’t relax until she makes a difference in your child’s life- and believe me she will. Dr Bluvstein is one of the best pediatric neurologists/epileptologists you would ever meet. Highly recommend!
Rude!! Didn't like her at all and will never go back.. She has No clue what she's talking about.
Unprofessional and extremely rude. This is based on MY experience maybe not others but I definitely won't ever go back. I don't even understand how she became a doctor
She is the absolute best! Amazing with children, extremely thorough and patient. Helped us understand and come to terms with our child's diagnosis. The office staff were very kind and helpful too. Overall an awesome experience, would highly recommend Dr. Bluvstein.
There is no hesitation on this Dr. Dr. Bluvstein is a wonderful Dr for Pediatric Epilepsy. She has a wonderful bedside manner/disposition both for the parents but more importantly for your child. This disorder is not an easy one to treat, I have spent the past year questioning Dr. B and pushing back. She has proven to be right every time I questioned her. We communicated via email thru the NYU app. She is wonderful with her response time and I feel I have a relationship with her and can go to her at anytime and she will respond to my questions. We are still working to get to the right meds for my daughter, however it is a bit of trial and error and that can be frustrating at times but if you can find a Dr. that gives you the time and you are confident in there knowledge that is all you can ask for. Incompetent physician! Horrible manners and refused to give us the time of the day. Do yourself a favor and avoid this doctor!
Impossible to get a hold of. Had to jump through several hoops just to make an appointment to get an eeg for our son and it’s been over 2 weeks and still can’t get her to respond as to results. Horrible office. Not great service in any way.
Horrible doctor! Please avoid! I’m sorry I ever took the time to book this appointment with her. Much more professional and competent doctors out there. She shouldn’t have a medical degree!

The other reviewers must have the wrong doctor. My son has been a patient for 10 years and she has been instrumental to making his life better. He was having 6 to7 seizures a day when we started with her. She makes it a point to look at the whole child and not just treat the seizures. She wants to pick meds that not only stop the seizures but help in other areas too. Making sure the side effects are not too bad and that they sometimes do dual purpose with mood and concentration. She is an amazing doctor, always runs on time and gives her complete attention during an appointment. She wants us to share so she can help him every way she can I highly recommend her. Dr Bluvstein has been a tremendous resource in helping to treat my sons seizure disorder as well as address issues related to his autism. She takes the time with each follow up visit to work out a plan we can accomplish. Do not know what our family would do without her to help us navigate a confusing course at times.
As a mother of an infant diagnosed with infantile spasms, I can confidently say that Dr. Bluvstein is an outstanding physician! She has always compassionately listened to our concerns, discussed our options with us and backed up her recommendations with the latest findings in the medical literature and her years of experience. Under her care, we feel like our daughters health is her priority and we are forever grateful. We highly recommend her!
Dr Bluvstein is not only an extremely competent Neurologist, but a caring, compassionate person who has a an eye for detail and a memory that is second to none. In my book, there are only three other doctors in the country who is as good as she is and they are as follows. Dr. Orrin Devinsky who is the Director of Comprehensive Epilepsy at NYU, Dr. Ralph Northam who treated my son in Virginia and is now currently the Governor there, and Dr. Selby Oberton of Baylor St. Luke's in Houston, TX.
My son was diagnosed with Infantile Spasms back in 2009 . We knew nothing about this catastrophic seizure disorder and were referred to NYU Epilepsy Center . We were blessed to see Dr. Bluvstein . She took extreme care of him and worked extremely close with him where time is of the essence . She is extremely smart , very professional, and beyond caring . I call her my miracle worker and would recommend her to everyone .
Incompetent and horrible doctor! Avoid at all cost! Infant was disregarded and treated like a number. Please stay away
We have been with Dr. Bluvstein for several years now. She has provided excellent advice & care for my son. My son was having many seizures before he started seeing Dr. Bluvstein. At her direction, we changed up my son's medication doses and my son's condition started to improve immediately. She then changed some of the meds & she added my son to the Epidiolex clinical trial. Then my son's seizures were down 80%. We began to see the quality of my son's life improve. She treats us like family.

Dr. Bluvstein is that rare pediatric neurologist who gets it and really works with parents to have the information they need to make decisions about their child's care. She is caring, witty and extremely smart. And she only uses statistics to supplement the conversation, not as the crux of everything - a refreshing change.
Dr. B is by far the best doctor we have seen for our daughter. She takes her time and really cares about her as a whole child and not just treating the disorder.
