Our personal experience: my husband had a hernia, a simple surgery and one of the most common. We were sent to Dr. Simpson. After surgery my husband never experienced recovery from pain. He experienced constant pain and numbness, problems with his urinary and reproductive functions. After a year of multiple medications and the promise that it would heal, they finally said he needed a surgery to completely remove the mesh as the surgical mesh Dr. Simpson placed was causing damage to his spermatic cord and surrounding nerves. Flash forward to over a year later: my husband has now, because of this surgery, lost all function of one testicle and is now facing another surgery to remove it and lifelong treatment for low testosterone. It has completely changed our life. The doctors blamed the fact that the hospital is a “learning hospital” and that students use these surgeries for experience. Regardless, Dr. Simpson and the hospital are responsible for ensuring the best possible outcome for their patients. I am extremely disappointed with the abilities of Dr. Simpson and I would not recommend him. He wears cowboy boots with scrubs. It stood out to me during our consultation and it should have been the red flag that made us get a second opinion. He truly damaged our relationship and all future hopes of a family. My upmost respect and uplifting thanks to the man that saved my son's life....Dr Joshua Simpson saved my son Tydralen Evans life on Father's Day 2019,from a gunshot wound to the chest and the bullet hit every main artery in my babies body. He has a heart of platinum, knowledge and hands of an almighty GOD...He has been a blessing and been here every step of our long journey..He's honest, dedicated and our ANGEL for life. Words can't express how much he means to me and son,we thank and talk about him daily to each each other..My son lights up and smile every time he is in our presence because he feels safe!! We have a wonderful team helping and we're so grateful ..Dr.Dellalo,Dr.Manning,Dr Snow ..just a few that we could remember!!!
