I saw Dr. Phillips 6 years ago but never forgot how devalued he made me feel during the appointment. He wasn’t compassionate at all as I expressed my concerns, and he was very rude. While trying to explain that my reaction may have been a result of a recent medication I’d started using, he replied, “You’re not having hives due to that. I’m the doctor, and I’ve been doing this __ years.” He said that I’d be able to suppress urticaria w/ meds, but that it would probably always come back. I found out a while later that my concerns were correct and that I actually was just allergic to that certain medication. I haven’t had an urticaria episode in 4.5 years after stopping the medication. I was in college when I visited Dr. Phillips, and I remember crying in my car after he’d ignored my concerns while expressing that he was “the doctor.” Ironically, I am a doctor now too. Please respect all of your patients. You never know who you may be speaking with and EVERYONE matters.

Dr. Phillips was very professional, friendly, explains things where you could understand.
