Dr. Joseph Keith Young

Extremely rude and incompetent receptionist, can't provide critical information in a timely manner. This practice refuses to advocate on behalf of it's clients and does not stand by its products. Run don't walk. Only got one star because I couldn't give them zero.

I normally don’t get my vision checked but lately I have felt the need to. At my last visit I was see by Dr. Koyfman and he was very informative about the eye exam. He explained the exam in a way I could understand. I felt more at ease after seeing him.

Super kind and accommodating! They’ve always gone the extra mile :)

I will not be going back. No bed side manner , wasted my time and my sons referral .

Dr Young is an amazing human. Always enjoy having the chance to come in for an appointment.

My entire family trusts our eyes to Dr. Young! Dr. Young is thorough and provides excellent patient education in understandable language well beyond simple eye issues. His staff is also warm, welcoming and knowledgeable.

I just had my first eye exam with Dr. Young. I was so impressed with the time he takes to explain what he's doing and why, the processes of different eye conditions and diseases, and my particular situation. Extremely thorough and easy to talk to. I wish I had been going to him all along. Also, good music in the waiting area.

excellent experience all around

Dr. Young was wonderful with my 7 year old daughter and she had a great time at the eye doctor! He will def be our doc for the whole family going forward.

I've been going to Dr. Young since he took over the practice of my previous Doctor, decades ago. I'm 78, and he's the finest I've ever been to! The compassion he shows in providing free Eye Care to the homeless, and those in underdeveloped Nations in South America, is exemplary. As I was in quite eye discomfort, Dr. Young graciously squeezed me in at the last minute on a Saturday to perform a procedure that provided my eyes with great relief. I’m very grateful to him and his staff!

I am just visiting for the summer in this area, and when I developed a problem, I called Village Eye Care as they were the most convenient location for me. I was able to get an appointment the next day, Dr. Young immediately saw the problem in my eye and quickly, and with a steady hand and a reassuring manner, soon took care of it. He and his staff are wonderful, friendly and cooperative. If I decide to move to this area, they will certainly be my only choice for eye care. Thanks!! Wonderful experience all around, as usual. The entire staff is simply great - very friendly, super knowledgeable, and clearly enjoying their work and looking forward to helping their customers. Doc Young is simply the best. He takes the time to fully understand any issues you have, he gives choices and explains his recommendation in laymen's terms and it's very clear that he cares. 6 Stars if I could! Dr. Young is wonderful. He is caring, knowledgeable and patient. This was the very best eye exam I have ever received in my 33 years of wearing glasses! He took his time and explained what he was doing and why. Staff helped me pick out new frames and fitted me for a few pairs, very thorough, thoughtful and kind. Dr. Young is wonderful. Dr. Young was very nice, BUT I was told they took my insurance which I later received a bill weeks after stating my insurance was not covering the eye exam. My wife and I were both sold much more expensive contacts than we usually wore, why? I don’t know. So within 3 weeks Dr. Young charged me almost $900 for two eye exams, mind you it is the same eye exam equipment from the 80’s and two sets of 90 day contacts. I just don’t know where you can get off charging that much money for a routine eye exam and contacts for my wife and I. If this is the way you are going to do business you just lost mine. 1 star only because you can not leave no stars. UPDATE: Village Eye Care did come good on their word and refunded us for the Contact Lens Evaluation. Thank you. Upgrading the review to 3 stars. I would give higher, but feel more transparent communication about out-of-pocket expenses over the phone would have avoided confusion on the vague nuances of (often confusing) insurance coverage. To others; Dr. Young is both affable and knowledgeable I would just recommend clarification on out-of-pocket expenses to avoid surprises. ----------------------------------------------- Little annoyed; that after having called to check they took Aetna insurance to get billed $125 for a "Contact Lens Evaluation". Twice, on the same day. (Once for wife and then again for myself). I have worn contacts for over 25 years. I simply wanted an eye exam and an updated prescription. I wouldn't think I need a "Contact Lens Evaluation" I now have to submit an appeal to insurance which will probably end up going no where. Whilst Dr. Young was amicable and courteous I have to agree with a previous reviewer. Constantly trying to up-sell a different type of contact lens even though I've worn, and been perfectly happy with the same brand for over 15yrs. Sorry, but unlikely to go back or recommend. Dr. Young is wonderful. He is caring, knowledgeable and patient. This was the very best eye exam I have ever received in my 33 years of wearing glasses! Cheryl helped me pick out new frames and fitted me for a few pairs. She was very thorough, thoughtful and kind.

Dr. Young and his staff are awesome! Always have great conversations with Dr. Young. Everyone is professional, courteous & friendly. You feel like you are part of a family. Contacts and glasses are ready very quickly.

Dr. Young was great. I've worn glasses my entire life because eyes freak me out. Dr. Young kept me calm during the exam and didn't pressure me to switch to contacts or get lasik like my last doctor (why I switched). Because of his calm demeanor I ended up biting the bullet and tried contacts. Best. Decision. Ever. And he showed me a bunch of different options that fit me. I like being able to just throw them out at the end of the day so I went with the dailies. He also switched out my old lenses so I would have my glasses as a back up. Funny guy too. Dr. Young was great. I've worn glasses my entire life because eyes freak me out. Dr Young is outstanding, I trust him with my eyes 100%,, Needless to say I highly recommend him !!!

This is by far, the most professional, courteous, friendly and generous eye care operation I have ever encountered. I have been to numerous optometrists, ophthalmologists and pretend eye care experts in my many years and none of them can hold a candle to Dr. Young and his staff. His charges for services and eye-ware are reasonable, not like I have experienced with other providers. I would highly recommend Dr. Young's practice, especially for eye-care needs above and beyond the basic single vision eyeglasses. Dr. Young is the nicest doctor you will ever meet. Extremely professional and knowledgeable and the staff is great! Very clean place. I don't have health insurance and the price was even better than going to a Lens Crafter! Would recommend to everyone.
