Physical medicine and rehabilitation, also referred to as rehabilitation medicine, is the medical specialty concerned with diagnosing, evaluating, and treating patients with physical disabilities. For diagnosis and evaluation, a physiatrist may include the techniques of electromyography to supplement the standard history, physical, x-ray and laboratory examinations. The physiatrist has expertise in the appropriate use of therapeutic exercise, prosthetics (artificial limbs), orthotics and mechanical and electrical devices.

I consider him as a great and caring Physician. Very conscientious and spends more tha ample time with you when you are in rehab. If you have a problem and you tell him about it he follows up and makes sure it is taken care of. He visits you in every morning and make sure everything is going well. Before your released he has a meeting with his staff with you. Present and they assure him that you are capable of taking care of yourself at home or have the help needed. Kudos to a great Physician!
