From start to finish...Meeting with Michelle Cain, one of Dr. Magnant's PA's who talked with me about the vein issues I have had, made it easy for me to understand. I can tell she really cares about the patients!! Dr. Magnant performed a procedure to remove some of my bad veins and did something called Sclerotherapy to make some smaller, yet, painful veins go away. From start to finish he was very professional and had a great bedside manner. He was able to keep me relaxed! The procedure did not take very long and I was able to go to work that very day with a few instructions. Each and everyone of the Staff at Vein Specialists were kind, friendly and very competent. I was amazed how the medical team worked so well together. Quick and efficient, too!! I had a great experience with the whole team. I would say everyone at Vein Specialists is EXCEPTIONAL!! Thank you Vein Specialists!!

Great experience in the Fort Myers office. Dr. Magnant made my procedure go very quickly and his humor distracted me the entire time. Loren and Lizi who took care of me before and after the procedure were absolutely the best. I highly recommend Dr. Magnant and his entire staff.

On Monday Mar. 20, Dr. Magnant performed varicose vein surgery on my right leg. Dr. Magnant had previously performed successful varicose vein surgery on my left leg . Once again, I was thoroughly impressed by his surgical expertise as well as his bedside manner. Using a combination of serious conversation with me and a heaping helping of humor, Dr. Magnant kept me completely at ease throughout the successful procedure. Pietra and Isa, his very able medical assistants were confident, competent and extremely sensitive to my needs. After many years of living with varicose veins, I'm truly excited about having that behind me. Thank you so much Dr. Magnant and company.

Not only is Dr. Magnant a skilled physician in his specialty, he is the most caring doctor I've ever treated with. As a snowbird, I found myself in a very scary health situation without the appropriate doctor. When I mentioned my quandary at my vein ablation surgery (which went perfectly, BTW), he promptly reached out to a specialist who got me in for an appointment in two days. Anyone here in SW Florida knows it can take many months to get in to be seen as a new patient. Also, Doctor has a large staff and each person that I met was a reflection of his kind spirit. You cannot go wrong treating in this practice!

Just dont like the way this office and the doctor meets new patients and handle their business. First of all vascular surgeons in the area I have seen schedule your ultra sound and then they discuss results same day. This office in most cases set you up with NP for your consult and schedule ultra sound and you may not see the doctor for MONTHS. If you want to see the doctor for consult you have to wait for months. In some cases patients dont meet the doctor till day of procedure.??? They tell you that you can attend a seminar and hear and meet the doctor. Or you can come in and the NP will discuss with you what the doctor told her??? So patients go to the seminar and are meeting the doctor for the first time and he can in some cases discuss your results there in a room full of strangers . Does not get anymore impersonal than this.... I would never want to discuss my personal medical questions and concerns like that. He could be a good doctor when it comes to vein procedures however this is very impersonal and feels more like a number and assembly line. . Meeting the doctor on the day of a procedure for the first time is just unexceptable. Some may think this is business as usual , trust me it is not with all other vascular surgeons or any professional surgeons in fact. I always feel it is worth getting another opinion with any medical procedure. First impressions set the tone and I feel it is being overlooked. They may feel they are so busy these small details dont make a difference but it does.

A superb professional that is caring, efficient, easy to communicate with exceptional medical attention, listens to my concerns and provides a solution. I have had painful varicose veins in both of my legs. I went to Dr. Magnant for help. First I noticed an outstanding office staff who quickly got me checked in. I met with Dr Magnant to discuss my ultrasound. He clearly explained the procedure, then my appointments were scheduled. Both legs now feel great, no pain and I owe it to Dr. Magnant and his incredible staff. A special thank you to Loren who assisted Dr Magnate and explained everything that was going to happen during my surgery. Loren put me at ease, as others did supporting me during my surgery. My varicose vein ablation with Dr. Magnant what is the most pleasant outpatient surgical procedure I have ever experienced. everyone there was kind and helpful and even had great senses of humor. They made me feel very comfortable. I opted for the Pronox gas, and even though I was awake, I felt no pain. I would highly recommend Dr. Magnant at Vein Specialists. Wonderful doctor!

Left leg surgery: Had zero pain after the first surgery, but decided to try the Pro-Nox for the next surgery on my right leg. What a blessing! I'm 83. It was my first experience ever with "laughing gas," and I can't recommend it too highly! Worth every penny! I got through the procedure with minimal pain and, again, no after-pain. Dr. Magnant is THE BEST!

Dr. Magnant M.D. and his excellent staff treated me for vein surgery. This is a very professional practice with efficient and comforting surgery pros. I went to vein specialist to take care of my varicose veins. Everyone was super nice and always on time. I was able to get everything taken care of, I was super happy with the results, and was able to work around my work schedule. They couldn't have made the process any easier.

Went to their facility for a vein issue I was having. Plan was to have a vein removal procedure; staff was informative and knowledgeable. Made sure answer any questions my wife or myself had. Liz and Michelle were terrific with their care. Dr Magnant was thoughtful and courteous to my needs post procedure. If my other leg needs the same treatment, I will return to Dr Magnant.

For the last two plus years I have had daily swelling , aching and pain in both my legs. I was unable to get any relief. My legs felt weak and i was afraid of falling which i did a few times. My best friend’s sister received treatment from Dr Magnant and she brought me his brochure. I immediately made an appointment. I have had both legs treated and I can’t believe how great my legs feel. The swelling has disappeared and my legs feel the way they used to. I had instant relief after the surgery . He is professional and kind and the procedure was painless. I also have to commend his entire staff. They are so kind and considerate and really caring to all their patients. I especially want to recognize Liz and Peitra, the nurses that assisted Dr Magnant during my procedures. All I can say is if you are having any issues with your legs please go see Dr Magnant.

From signing in to meeting staff for prep on procedure, all were so willing to answer questions and ease any apprehensions. They all thought very highly of Dr Magnant and each other. Important positive sign. I felt the same after meeting Dr M and would not hestitate to highly recommend him to anyone asking.

I have been suffering for over 35 years from swelling on my ankles. I decided that after trying many optional treatments that did not help, I would see if a vein ablation would work for me. I'm so happy I did. Dr. Magnant and his entire staff made the decision easy for me. My first ablation took place a couple of weeks ago, Dr. Magnant explained my condition before the procedure and what was going to happen. Both surgical techs , Liz, and Pietra, were terrific. They took great care of me. My second ablation was two days ago and the surgical techs this time were Jessie and Loren. They were also wonderful. I'm already seeing and feeling the difference these procedures have made for me.

I have received outpatient testing and two vein procedures at Vein Specialists and I am so impressed with Dr. Magnant and the staff members. A few staff I want to thank are Sandy and Brandy who performed ultrasounds, Lori and Lindsey in the office and Loren, Jessie, Pietra and Dr. Magnant from the procedure side. Nerves had the better of me on procedure day, but once I met Dr. Magnant I was convinced my decision was the right one. His manner was warm but informative! He recommended Pro-Nox which allowed me to settle my anxiety and focus on a beautiful South seas island video to the background music of Elton John! And voila … it was over! Went in for swelling in my legs and Pat was very helpful in getting my appointments in order.

I highly recommend Dr. Magnant and his whole practice for any type of vein issues you may have. I have been wanting to have my veins worked on for years and I am glad I waited and found Dr. Magnant. I was a bit apprehensive because you don’t meet him until procedure day, but that lasted less than a minute. He instantly made me comfortable with him and confident in him. The nurses, Loren and Jessie, are wonderful and made pre-op easy and fun. I’m sure that sounds crazy but they treated me like family. Dr. Magnant is very professional and skilled and talked me through the whole procedure. I followed all the pre op instructions. Start the Arnicare 2 days before to help with bruising and have baby aspirin and Advil for afterwards. I scheduled my other leg before I left the office. It’s almost been a week and I have been walking 2 miles since 2 days after the procedure and hope to be back at the gym after the ultrasound follow up.

Nurse Loren and the other assistant were very adept at putting me at ease and were concerned for my comfort. Loren answered my questions regarding the procedure. I was impressed with her upbeat demeaner.

I have had severe varicose veins for years but now I am on a number of blood thinners which cause he’s been to bleed. Dr. Magnant is one of the most skilled doctors that I have been to. Also I must comment about his operating room staff, Liz, Jessie and Lauren. Their operating room skills and technique are above reproach but just as important is their wonderful personalities to help ease you through the operation.

I've had several necessary procedures preformed by Dr. Magnant, my latest was inserting a stent into my Iliac vein. This doctor and his team are excellent, they are competent, but also demonstrate compassion and concern. Danielle was incredibly patient answering all of my pre-surgery questions.

Horrible receptionist manners . If you're not American and have a bit of accent, don't call here, save yourself this horrible experience! On January 31, 2022 , My wife ( who is a healthcare professional supervisor in a local hospital) was referred to Dr. Magnant by her physician. However, she couldn't even make an appointment because " Lori", the receptionist who answered the phone, apparently doesn't like to take phone calls from foreign patients and was very rude , disrespectful and unprofessional. My wife only called because she wanted to know if there was an appointment available in the next two weeks for a sclerotherapy , which she will pay cash because not insurance cover this procedure , but Lori said she needed my wife's information, including her medical insurance, so she could see if there were any appointments available, weird! But my wife patiently answered all her questions, when she asked for my wife medical insurance information my wife told her I am an employee of the xxx hospital, just trying to be friendly, but Lori answered I don't know what that means, really ?? Lee and collier county , together have only three main hospitals and she doesn't know the hospital’s name ?Ok, my wife continued answering all her questions. Then suddenly and for no reason, Lori increased her disrespectful attitude and said to my wife "I can't understand you with that accent", Wow Lori, that's really rude! You could not understand a person who has been a supervisor for 20 years and has led a hospital department with more than 30 health professionals, of which 85% are American, with no communication issues? Or could it be that you discriminate a little against foreigners or immigrants? in any case, that's not right! Of course, it was the moment when my wife asked her why she was so rude, and OMG Miss Lori started yelling at her, people around could hear this lady yelling at her without showing the minimum respect , Miss. Lori became out of control . My wife tried to tell her that she can't treat patients or anyone that way, but Lori kept yelling at her even louder, at the end my wife told her that if they treat their patients like that, she doesn't want to go there. Karen, manager office, this is a job where you have to watch how you act with patients, Lori really needs to be educated on customer service , respect and patient care. I don’t usually write reviews but I did because behavior like Lori's is unacceptable and It must stop. Dr. Magnant may be a good doctor, but with staff like Lori??? I would and did recommend Dr Magnant to anyone having problems with leg veins. He is extremely knowledgeable and very dedicated to vein health. He & his staff, Loren & Jessie in particular, are all very professional, put you at ease, and answered all your questions.

I worked as a private Scrub Technician for a Podiatrist for 25 years so when I started having issues walking a short distance I knew it was time to see a vain specialist, I called Dr. Magnant I was aware of his reputation and for me he was the man to see. I've had both legs done now and I couldn't be happier, 2 day's post op. and I'm walking half a mile twice a day, hat's off to Dr. Magnant and ALL his staff. I have recently had surgery on both legs. Dr. Magnant and his staff did an exceptional job. He took the time to educate me on the procedure while he was completing. His staff was outstanding...friendly and fun, but absolutely professional. Liz, Lauren and Jessie did a fantastic job

Dr. Magnant is very professional. He is booked a couple of months out, but well worth the wait. He fixed my leaking veins, and did a great job. His staff is very professional, and kind. His office and waiting room is very clean and organized. I would recommend him very highly. You will see his nurse practitioner first, and get your ultrasounds, but Dr. Magnant reviews everything. He does all procedures himself.

Yesterday (12/20/21) I just had a procedure done to remedy venous insufficiency in my right leg. I had read about the procedure, attended the mini-seminar with Dr. Magnant, and was generally optimistic about the lack of trauma overall. Today, 12/21/21 I am feeling normal, got really good care by all staff and most importantly, a surprisingly modest surgical procedure behind me. In fact I'm so impressed that I'm going to do my left leg. The after affects of the procedure don't even come close to the severity of some self inflicted wounds over my many years and even far less than root canals I've had earlier in life. If you varicose veins I would not hesitate to recommend this procedure with Dr. Magnant.

I had a vein ablation yesterday by Dr Magnant. He offers a kind of laughing gas but I didn’t use it. That worked out as the only time I felt anything was a couple of quick jabs when he numbed my leg. I was awake the whole time (maybe 20 minutes) and it was easy. Dr Magnant and his nurses Liz and Janet were wonderful at explaining what was happening and then keeping my mind off it by talking with me about travel and pets. So far there’s been no post-op pain although they told me there might be a little and explained what would cause it since it’s a normal part of the healing process. I would definitely recommend Dr Magnant!

I was referred to Vein Specialists by my PCP. Everything about the experience was top grade from the initial consultation, to the testing and explanation of results and even the in-depth explanation of the expected billing for my procedure including an exact accounting of my out-of-pocket expenses. That put me at ease heading into the surgery. The procedure was conducted right on time, at the office and was just easy from start to finish. I must commend Dr. Magnant for his excellent bedside manner and his skill, as it was painless and quick. Most of all, however, I have to personally commend my lead Medical Assistant Loren who was simply outstanding as she took me all the way from prep to post-op (and had me laughing and very much at ease the whole time.) Loren was also very ably assisted by fellow Medical Assistants Nicole and Jessie as needed. Point is, Dr. Magnant is great and he has the best staff I have ever seen as a patient.

Dr Magnant is a fabulous doctor. I am an Ivus Patient. He placed 2 stents in my pelvic area. I was having many discomfort in my pelvic area, swollen, frequent pain when on my menstrual cycle. Restless nights due to constant urination during the night. Ever since i have had this done, i have been 100% better. Please if you are having similar symptoms or even discomfort during intercourse please schedule a consultation with Dr. Mgnant he will truly change your life style around 100%. Also his staff Liz and Jessie are so fabulous as well. They truly make you feel super comfortable and calm at the time of procedure. His office staff is so kind and friendly. Truly a wonderful office to visit.

I am in complete awe of this Dr. and his staff. There is not enough space here to tell my whole experience from start to finish but I will say this...I think EVERY Dr. In the WORLD should take lessons from him and his staff on how to treat and interact with thier patients.(bedside manner) Jessie was my nurse and she was AMAZING. She was so down to earth just like a best friend. She made me forget that I was even having a surgical procedure.? Dr. Magnant was the best most caring and entertaining Dr. He also makes you feel very comfortable and he's informative throughout your time in his O.R. and his office. I have NEVER walked into a drs office being scared and nervous and walk out like I was at a lunch date with some old friends and my mood was so elevated to a level of enjoyment I felt better emotionally for the rest of my day. I had my procedure yesterday at the Fort Myers office. It was a very good experience. Dr. Magnant explained everything to me once again, to make sure all my questions were answered. Dr. Magnant is very knowledgeable and his practice is outstanding. I elected to have only the local anesthetic, which was totally adequate. There was no pain. I watched the entire procedure on the screen. All the staff at Vein Specialists are outstanding and always pleasant and helpful. I highly recommend this practice.

I was impressed with the staff at Vein Specialists from the office staff who make appointments, check you in, and the ultrasound technicians and nurses who help during your procedures. I had 2 vein procedures, one on my right leg, the other on my left. Both times I was treated with respect and kindness no matter who I talked with. I was to give a shout out to Liz, Loren & Jessica especially as the were the nurses helping me & the doctor during the procedure. Dr. Magnant explains everything he will do and helps you feel comfortable during the procedures. I highly recommend Vein Specialists and Dr Magnant for any vascular issues you may have.

I noticed my legs were becoming achy after standing, I didn't feel like shopping or cooking due to my legs hurting and low back pain. Then I noticed a varicose Vein behind my leg and more spider veins popping up. As a retired medical provider, I wanted to prevent further problems so I called Vein Specialists and have been extremely pleased with the process from scheduling to seeing Christine, the ultrasound techs, Dr. Magnant, Loren and Liz. The office staff are friendly and helpful. I even visited both offices-Fort Myers and Bonita Springs for my procedures and found both offices displayed the same same caring, competent, professional behavior. Don't put off that call and see what the staff at Vein Specialist can do for your veins.

I love Dr.Magnant and his staff!!!The procedure went extremely well and I was being taken care of by some pretty awesome medical assistants Jessie and Laren. Top notch care, they make you feel like family.

I wouldn't like to thank dr. Magnant and his staff for a great procedure ( radio ablation) this morning! I only have one suggestion, for men please shave the area where gauze and tape go after the procedure is done. Thanks again, Chris Hof

This practice comforts you from the very moment you walk in (Laura) to every interaction with every sweet nurse (with the cute scrub hats) and the utmost knowledgeable and yet comedic doctor (Dr. Magnant) whom serenades you during the nerve wracking procedure (no pun actually intended there). They are precise, caring (Jessie and ?), methodical, through with sanitizing and the sarcasm is just the icing on the cake from Dr. Magnant. Thank you for a successful second procedure and making an unpleasant procedure , always an adventure one actually looks forward to with your staff.

Foot Pain Anyone?? After months of being rerouted through a PCP, Pain Care Specialist, and my Rheumatologist, I went to an orthopedic specialist who took one look at my ankles and the color of my feet and referred me to a vein specialist. My experiences with Dr Magnant and all of his staff have been exceptional. After several painless procedures I no longer have chronic foot pain and my feet are normal in color!!!

Confidence and competence and kindness lead to being a first-rate practitioner. An added plus for us patients is that he has a sense of humor.

I’ve suffered for years with ankle pain and balance issues due to breaking my right ankle in three places 20 years ago. Arthritis set in and replaced all of the cartilage in my foot and I had my ankle fused. The ankle didn’t heal and I had it fused again a year and a half ago. When I walked it felt like I was stepping on a balloon partially filled with fluid and my balance was awful. At night the swelling was bad in my ankle and the pain intense. My orthopedic pain management doctor, Dr. Andrew Gross, suggested seeing Dr. Joseph Magnant. I did and it’s changed my life. The procedure Dr. Magnant performed was not painful and lasted about an hour and a half. Within a day the fluid under my foot was almost gone and my ankle no longer is swollen at night! I had two procedures done on my legs. I was nervous when I went in for the first one, but, everyone took great care of me and calmed me down quickly. Dr. Magnant talked to me through the entire procedure and made me feel as if he truly cared about me as a patient. I highly recommend this practice.

This is a process, it can take up to 2-4 months from start to finish. If you have anxiety, get the ProNox, it’s worth the $200. The heaviness and aching feeling is gone and I can do so much more because I am pain free. After I researched the most experienced & trusted Vascular Surgeon office to fix my leg problems, I chose Vein Specialists. I appreciate the fact Dr. Magnant is the only surgeon in SWFL 100% dedicated to leg circulatory issues. His team of Ultrasound Sonographers have certification of advanced training & education so I was confident in the results of my ultrasound. I respect that Dr. Magnant is the one to perform the procedures in his office & he uses the most modern technique. This office is a well oiled machine! Everyone was cheerful & professional. It's obvious the staff knows how to do their job well & they enjoy working there. My Right leg procedure was quick & pain free. I felt comfortable during the procedure. Friendly staff and doctor. Very efficient. I'm a chicken when it comes to doctor appointments but they made the whole thing, if not enjoyable, not bad at all. I would definitely recommend.

My visit with Dr. Joseph Magnant, MD and nurses Eva and Aga was a tremendous experience. I felt very calm and at peace during my procedure at the Vein Specialists. The music they had playing stuck out in my mind, along with the Dr. Magnant asking during procedure if I'm alright. The Pro-Nox helped a lot as I am an anxious person and remembering a procedure I had done in MI this was not an option so here in FL I opted in and what a big relief. The whole staff and everything I experienced from beginning to end was totally professional. I give them a BIG FIVE STAR Review.

Dr Magnant did a vein ablation..I was VERY apprehensive for this procedure but the entire experience went well.. Eva/Olga were my nurses and they make a great team together..Professionalcaring, kind..I want to give a high 5 to the Christian music they played, which helped relax and calm your spirit, along with the conscious sedation :) Dr explained as he was going along and made you feel most comfortable. I rate this entire experience EXCELLENT PLUS!!

Dr Magnant treated both of my legs for a circulation issue, and I couldn't be more pleased. He was very professional, patient and kind. His staff was equally professional and very nice. I would highly recommend Dr. Magnant.

This picky Boston girl has had IVUS and Sclerotherapy from Vein Specialists, Dr Magnant. His team is awesome and he is amazing! No worries about COVID, the facility is extremely sanitized! I highly recommend!

The staff is very friendly and helpful. The doctor came highly recommended by a few people, and now I see why the office is comfortable and the music is relaxing.

I think this clinic is the best. The Dr & nurses & APRN's are the best. Very nice and do everything they can to help you. I highly recommend them. Very thorough in their work.

I recently had procedures done on both of my legs and I am extremely happy with the results. Dr. Magnant listened to my needs and concerns and developed a successful treatment plan. I found Dr. Magnant to be very knowledgeable, caring, and extremely skilled. His office staff is also very professional and kind. I have never written a review before, but I hope that by sharing my experience, others might benefit. My only regret is that I didn’t have this done years ago. I am so elated and grateful to no longer have aching tired legs. Thank you Dr. Magnant!

How good of a Doctor is he that puts off a patient for an appointment for over a month even when his Orthopedic Doctor wanted him to get in immediately because he was concerned of a DVT!!!

I could not be happier with the professional and welcoming staff at Dr. Magnant's office. I had experienced leg pain for almost a year before I went to him, thinking it was something else...I wish I had gone earlier! I have had procedures done on both legs and I am so very pleased with the results. I would recommend anyone with leg discomfort to visit Dr. Mangant. When I moved to Ft. Myers I was looking for a Vascular Surgeon and was advised to call Dr. Magnant. I did and I am so glad I was referred to him. I suffered from excruciating leg cramps, restless legs and consistent pain in my legs. From my first appointment I was sold out on his practice. From the front desk to the Nurse Practitioner to Ultrasound and Procedures everyone was so professional and so understanding. I had two procedures with Dr. Magnant and since I haven't had any thigh cramps or restless legs!! I am so happy that I found him!! I love this team. I’ve been struging with leg pain from vascular issues for 4 years and after having a different dr remove 9 veins, I felt hopeless until I met this team. I’ve just undergone my second IVUS treatment today with stenting and see a bright future. After my first IVUS, All pain on that leg disappeared and after 1 month my calf swelling has reduced nearly 2 inches! We visited 4 times and each time never met the doctor. While the NP was friendly and open to our concerns, she could not answer all our questions. The last visit was supposed to be a consultation to go over what the next steps would be for treatment. (The previous 3 visits were an initial consult with the NP,and testing) We took off work for the consult, met with the NP, again, and were told we would need to schedule another consult to speak with the doctor. Why weren't we told that before we came in?? We took the notes to another doctor and she could not see where our original question had even been addressed, and did not understand why the doctor was even ordering an IVUS procedure. The whole process seemed to be centered around ultimately getting an IVUS, no matter what. It was pushed heavily the entire time. We visited 4 times and each time never met the doctor.
