I had nothing but a pleasant experience, my surgery went great. Dr. Hellman and his team were amazing. I don’t think I could have received better care.

I have anxiety with anything medical. Dr. Hellman helped me feel at ease and was/is very knowledgeable, explained things to me, answered questions without making me feel like they were silly. I felt that he cared and showed empathy. He set clear and proper expectations for my surgery and was upfront about all possibilities and outcomes of my surgery. I used to have a different ENT whom I assume this man replaced. He was rude and short and kept asking me if I had had a problem for "how many decades" I could not even get this man to say what he was referring to. He claimed he had seen me long ago many years ago I checked my medical records at home and sound he was for sure incorrect. He obviously thought I was someone else and treated me poorly. then he saw in notes I came and got checked out for a problem 5 yrs earlier where I needed confirmation of no parasites and got that. Then he got EXTREMELY RUDE refused to treat me other than itching medication and I told him my zyrtec takes care of allergy itching. Dr. Hellmann was thorough, kind and absolutely listened and treated me so well! Highest praise! I would recommend him to anyone.

Years ago I had a throat exam from Dr. Hellman. During the exam Dr. Hellman literally yelled at me and told me how stupid I was for smoking. He was 100% correct, as I now have COPD. However, there is a more professional manner in which he could have approached that. Dr. Hellman knows what he is doing as a doctor, but he severly lacks in people skills and professionalism. Dr H. Is very nice, takes his time, answers ur questions. Staff is great.

Beginning at 9 months old, I had 3 - 6 ear infections annually. Numerous ear specialists over the years dismissed an abnormality in the ear as unimportant. On my first visit, Dr. Hellman examined it and found it was not what others had assumed. He performed an outpatient surgery and now, after fifteen years, I've had only 2 ear infections - total! Since then, he's helped one of my children with an issue. He is friendly, thorough, speaks in laymens terms and is great with children.

Got m in quickly. Thought I was suffering from severe drainage that was making my throat raw. He thought it might be caused by acid reflux or snoring. He said my sinuses looked good. He suggested I lose 20 lbs. I dismissed his observations. Two nights ago, I was lying awake and felt acid come up in my throat. Dr. Hellmann was right. I'm taking meds for acid reflux and feel better already. Now I gotta lose 20 lbs.

As an author and singer/songwriter, Dr. Hellmann helped me recover from a drum puncture problem that may have impacted my career...thanks for skilled hands and gentle care, and a successful recovery!
