I had seen Dr Guagliardo 4 years ago (at the City Line PCOM) about lower back pain, and found him, and his assistant, to both be very flippant and distracted while they interviewed me. However, I overlooked this, and per his recommendation, I went to chestnut hill hospital to get X-Rays done. The chestnut hill x-ray report said that I had spondylolysis, spondylosis, and slight anterolisthesis. I also obtained a hard copy of these x-rays on a disk. Since I had to wait a while to see Dr GuagliaIo again to discuss the results, I decided to see another doctor at Einstein (who had a sudden opening) and show him the disk, but not the actual written report. This doctor confirmed what the chestnut hill report had stated. When I was finally able to see Dr Guagliardo again, not only was he was once again distracted and flippant, he was trying to impress a female intern with jokes. He told me that chesnut hill had sent him the x-rays, and that there was nothing wrong with me, and that everything was fine. Really?! When I respectfully told him what the other doctor had told me, and even showed him the actual chestnut hill report, he got mad and told me to leave! (Perhaps he felt embarrassed in front of his intern?) I was shocked. While I should have left and complained, I calmed him down and told him to at least look at the x-ray disk. He grudgingly agreed and left the room with the disk while his intern looked pale. After 15 minutes he returned and sheepishly admitted that I did indeed have spondylolysis, spondylosis, and slight anterolisthesis. After that, he seemed slightly more friendly, but more in a "if I act nice to him, then maybe he'll leave and keep quiet" sorta way. Obviously, Dr Guagliardo didn't even look at the actual x-rays or even the report. (If he had, then he would have seen what chestnut hill medical had to say.) So, he clearly lied to me, which is dangerous and totally unacceptable. While Dr Guagliardo may be fine with other patients, he clearly was not with me. (I should have written this review 4 years ago, but I was too disgusted and timid to do so.)
