Dr Brown was courteous, respectful and caring. He listened very well and explained my MRI images. He offered excellent advice and suggestions for treatment for my issues. I would recommend him highly.

Gerald has seen Dr Brown twice. First time to review the problem area and he explained the procedure. He then gave Jerry time to think about it as he has other health issues as well. The second time was to review the situation again and then Jerry agreed to have the surgery. It was appreciated that Dr Brown took the time needed by Jerry.

Dr Brown listened to all my fears and concerns and addressed each one. He gave me clear answers about how he would determine the level of fusion needed and I felt totally confident by the scheduled surgery date. His staff is supportive and amazing as well!

Having my second surgery with Dr. Brown, when I was first refered to Dr.Brown I worked at a Spectrum Health, I went to Ortho floor to ask about him, but everyone said I was getting the best, they were right!! Great at explaining what's going to happen and puts you at ease.

Dr. J. Todd Brown, DO is cordial, engaging, and friendly. His character radiates confidence, professionalism, and competence. He discusses detailed medical matters in plain and clear language. He takes all the time needed to answer patient questions and thoroughly explain his treatment recommendations.

Dr. Brown successful performed an emergency surgery on my boyfriend, removing a tumor from his spine and saving him from paralysis via Cauda Equina Syndrome. He couldn't walk or feel his legs, and how he can do both just 6 days later (of course with pain meds and physical therapy). He's been checking in with my boyfriend during his stay in the ER, and it brings him a lot of comfort. We are forever grateful.

Dr. Brown is amazing: intelligent, explains wonderfully, great sense of humor, .... What an astounding Dr. Brown is! Now I have to get over my fear of surgery.

I have met with Dr Brown twice and I think he is very genuine and cares about his patients. He took quite a bit if time to explain my options and made me feel like I was not just a number. I would send anyone I know to him. Seems like a great guy also, not just a great doctor

Dr. Brown is a highly skilled surgeon who answers your questions and has good follow up. I would highly recommend him to anyone needing spinal cord surgery.

Had a few visits b4 he did back surgery. Very pleasant Dr. Was recomended by my daughter in law that does referals in a PCP office. All her patients love him and so do I. Did a great job, just waiting to heal. The office staff are very nice too, in person and on phone calls. I would recommend him to anyone.

He explained everything very good and what should be done next

A year ago Dr Brown operated on my back and fused two vertebrae and put in metal supports. This last visit was to discuss another surgery to remove the metal supports (they are uncomfortable..back spasms etc).

Dr. Brown has excellent technical skills, bedside manner, compassion for his patients and a personality, often lacking in surgeons! I appreciate his ability to communicate effectively with all his patients regardless of their medical knowledge or lack thereof. I highly recommend Dr. Brown, both as a patient having underwent cervical spine fusions by Dr. Brown in March, 2021 and as a professional in health care for over 40+ years.

Dr. Brown met every expectation plus more.As far as I'm concerned he is the BEST Back orthopedic Doctor in Michigan. I had a laminectomy and 8 fusions done. Doctor Brown is the Best of the Best. From start to finish he explained what was going to be done. I walked out of Hospital 3days later after Operation with almost no pain. Pain level from Operation never went above a 3 1/2. I could'nt walk around my block which is a small block. After Operation Walking miles at a time. Thank- you Doctor Brown from the bottom of my heart ?.

Dr. Brown speaks with confidence and an understanding of your particular complaint. I have confidence between the two of us there will be a solution to my problem.

My first encounter with Dr Brown was subsequent an automobile accident where my neck had been fractured in numerous places. I consider myself blessed to have him “on call”. He has always taken the time to thoroughly explain everything, answer all my questions, have patience as I try all possible alternatives and then perform life changing surgeries which has allowed me to move forward in the right direction. I can not recommend him enough. I have and will continue to recommend him and his staff to any and all that have spinal issues.

Very good surgeon. He’s operated many times on my back. Very friendly and easy to talk to. Great surgeon, great practice very professional staff. This last appointment I was worked in, I had surgery in a few days and I live out of town. Therefore, I waited a lot longer than usual. It is also the holidays so they were closed for many days.

Saved my life! He is exceptional

I had cervical spine surgery on April 9, 2019 with Dr J. Todd Brown as my surgeon. From pre-op to my final post-op visit just recently, OAM and Dr Brown were exceptional!! Dr Brown’s surgical team was timely, efficient and extremely capable and caring during and after surgery. I received excellent care during post-op, with nurses calling me at home checking up on me for at least two weeks after my surgery. I had some residual nerve pain in my wrist and arm that Dr Brown suspected was carpal tunnel, which he then referred me to his associate for diagnosis and treatment! What an amazing team of doctors at OAM! I will return to them should I need any help in the future! Thank you, Dr Brown and your entire office of professionals from your front office staff to your very capable physical therapy specialists! You deserve much more than a 5- star rating from me!!

Dr. Brown is amazing. He did my first surgery in 2018 with absolutely no issues! He answered all of my questions and I was extremely nervous about surgery. He never made me feel rushed or that my questions weren’t valid. He has advised me against surgery at times as well. He just did my second surgery on my cervical spine and I couldn’t be happier. I have various spinal issues and he has been great at giving me options and also letting me know when there are no options left and why. Highly recommend Dr. Brown. He had me doing physical therapy early with my lumbar surgery but none with my cervical surgery. He explained why and I totally trust him.

Very personable, amazing at assessing your needs, has honest and straight forward approache, very compassionate and an outstanding surgeon.

Dr Brown discussed my options with me and together we worked out what would be in my best interest. He listened to my concerns and truly cared about what would get my needs met. I was able to quickly get an appt (3 days from calling for one) and my surgery was scheduled within 3 weeks of that appt. The outpatient surgery center was great. The staff there are very caring and I am more than happy to have met Stan and had him take care of me during my day at the facility. Hats off to a great Dr and team at both the office as well as the Outpatient Surgery Center!!!!

Dr. Brown is awesome. I was scheduled for a spinal fusion but he kept looking at my case and figured out a way to do something less severe right before the scheduled surgery. The alternative has worked great and make things a lot easier on me.

Dr. Brown and his PA are not the problem. I called with a medication issue and his nurse, who does all the surgery scheduling, never got back to me. It has been 4 days and I am still waiting. Now, granted my issue is not life threatening, but I believe no sleep and constant pain are an issue to almost anyone. Not sure where the go from here.
