Dr. Joseph Michael Bertroche

Dr. Bertroche saw my sister as a patient for many years in her adolescence. He refused to diagnose her and her conditions compounded and transformed into much more severe conditions. She died last year because of a lack of mental health care and intervention. Dr. Bertroche is negligent and irresponsible.

Dr. B is the Best doctor I’ve had going to the VA.

He absolutely does care about each patient. No matter how long your scheduled for he takes the time to work with you & make sure you understand what his plan is & let's you in on the decision process. He often runs a bit late, but that's because he gives each patient the amount of time they need, not just what's scheduled. He gets to know all his patients & calls them in by name & shakes your hand. The office secretary/scheduler is tough, she doesn't make scheduling easy, but he will get you in.

Very large ego. That’s about all I can say.

One of the most uncaring individuals in the mental health realm. Please -- look at the other reviews --- his office has a few caring counselors, they are great! But HE is absolutely horrible. You can tell he's basically phoning it in. You are a number; you are a paycheck. You have very little worth to him beyond that.
