Great doctor, positive experience. My youngest son (11) had a little fracture on his left elbow. Dr. Allen was very knowledgeable and gave us all the information including options, pros and cons. He was also fun with my son making him comfortable, avoiding any more stress or frustration due to the cast. I highly recommend Dr. Allen to anyone.

I was seen by Dr. Allen on Friday 2-17-23. I was extremely happy to finally get an appointment. Dr. Allen was very thorough with my visit. He was very informative and direct when answering my questions. He proposed a plan, I agreed with the plan. He continued to assure me he will try all options before deciding any major surgery. I have a 4week follow up and I am confident it will be a successful visit. Leaving his office I was feeling much better physically and peaceful at heart.

Just know I was freaking out and he was very fast reassuring fixed me right on up!

Dr Allen is great! I've never had to sit long before being seen. His mannerism is very good and he explains things in much detail. He's so courteous and likable. He's 100% better than my previous ortho surgeon. I would totally recommend him to others.

Professional ,very satisfy

I've had arthritis in my hands for several years, but in the last 6 months, my thumbs have been very painful. I had x-rays and showed joint degeneration, so it will probably take hand surgery to rebuild the joints. Now I know why they hurt so much. Dr. Allen was very helpful and explained my issue.

This was a very smooth visit both to book the appointment as well as the appointment itself. I was discharged from the ER at 5:30 am, called around 8:30 am, and had a 10 am appointment the same day. Very knowledgeable and able to explain some difficult concepts with respect to my injury and plan of correction in language I could easily understand. I liked him and we got an appointment the same week. He was thorough, personable, caring, asked questions about shoulder issues I am having during exam and he listens and addresses concerns before going to his next question. I had opportunity to ask questions as needed. Office staff very helpful and scheduling 1st consultation with doctor's orders available was very promptly handled.

Wonderful service, on time, doctor listens closely, office staff courteous and helpful.

I have received great care from this facility. .I've been different options for my health care and I like that. I recommend this group to anyone with Ortho issues.

Yes they have a very friendly atmosphere and attentive nurses I've never had a cast before but I almost want to break another arm

Dr. J. Allen was patient and explained all options. He has a great bedside manner and is committed to his patients. 10/10 would recommend!

Dr. Allen was a few minutes late because of an extended surgery m, but he and the staff welcomed me and proceeded with X-rays and check-in while he was delayed. When he arrived, he was apologetic and ready with a thorough explanation of the issues he thought I was facing. He was expedient, but very kind and considerate.

I took time off from work and the front desk was relatively argumentative about their scheduling and policy issues. Multiple people walked out after waiting more than an hr when I was there. I had been recommended to Dr. Allen by Jim Grant, one of his patients. I found him to be very informative and caring. He took his time and didn't appear to be rushed. Dr. Allen discussed the options I had regarding what could be done about my arthritic left knee. He is a good listener and possesses a congenial spirit. My wife Ruth and I left his office feeling real good about our visit with him. I would gladly recommend Dr. Allen to others.

Dr Allen CARES about you and what’s going on! He truly listens & hears you! He give you the facts and let’s you choose what you want to do!

Made 3 appointments, been charged once. 3 trips to their office and lots of hours spent waiting...still haven't been seen. My payment has not been refunded. Front desk wasn't helpful and was argumentative to myself and others who were waiting and had to leave without being seen.

I just feel like Nothing said would change anything and as a Christian I Just feel like it's just Best to be silent for People of Today Don't Care to Change Don't value how you feel and I wouldn't dare Want to Speak badly of Anyone because what One Person Expierence other's don't As Everyone should be able to have An option to Give Their opinion and Speak on Their Expierence YET I wouldn't Want To harm Anyone With My word's as Word's harm on Every level I Just Prayer for ALL May God Continue To Bless ALL in ALL Of Their Endeavors.

Dr Allen is amazing. One of the most informative and caring physicians I have ever been to. He tells you exactly what needs to be done. I would recommend highly.

Dr Allen was very easy to talk to and listened to me. He was honest about the issues he could treat and offered suggestions for the ones he could not. I would highly recommend Dr Allen. He is compassionate and kind.

Dr. Allen is personable and the staff are excellent. Great bedside manner left me at ease for surgery.

IMHO Dr Allen does what a doctor should. He listens, provides advice, and generally interacts in a way that conveys competence and experience and also humility. Unfortunately I’ve seen a lot of docs, and this combination is rare.

Everyone was welcoming and caring. Dr. Allen was very informative and explained things that were easily understandable.

This is the first ever dealing with any type of fracture needing a cast. I was nervous and my child was too. The wonderful staff from the moment you sign in and Doctor Allen put us at ease. The office got me in quickly (same day!) and costs were discussed up front. Dr. Allen was very personable and definitely listened to my preferences, while giving his own opinions. I left with my knee drained, cortisone shot, a new brace, instructions for 10 days of anti-inflammatories, and an at home PT sheet. It was most likely the cortisone, but after weeks of pain, I was feeling better in hours. There was also very little waiting in office! One note, they are strict on mask wearing, but told me over the phone, it's just easy to forget! The office got me in quickly (same day!) and costs were discussed up front. I had a great office visit with Dr. Allen, he listened to my concerns and understood my condition.

Thorough and efficient, and the Doctor explain the options and care needed.

I had a dislocated right elbow.

I had a partial hip replacement that was difficult because of my age and brittle bones. Dr Allen continued working with me and finally was able to fix it. Great surgeon.

He was concerned about my problem and promptly prescribed PT as well as he gave me a cortisone injection. My shoulder pain has subsided somewhat.

Discussed my past and current situation with shoulder pain. Got an injection and Rx for physical therapy.

On June 7th 2019, I fell down and went to the emergency room in SE Memorial Herman. Dr. Allen was the doctor who saw me and told me that he will put pins in my fracture femur. He never laid out any options for me. After the surgery for the first visit in 2019, X Ray was taken and Dr Allen said the fracture was not healing and blame it on the physical therapist for working too hard on my leg. Almost one year later in June 2020, I had severe pain in my hip, I went back to see Dr. Joseph Allen and he told me the femur bone had collapsed. He said I had to go for hip replacement with another Dr. I went to see another Orthopedic surgeon and I was told that I should have done a hip replacement one year ago when I fell. Now I have a hip surgery and if Dr. Allen would have advise me to go for hip replacement , I would not be in this situation suffering all these physical pain and financial loss. The new orthopedic surgeon had to saw through the bone that healed incorrectly. If I could, I would not even give Dr Jospeh C Allen a one star rating. Minimal wait time with experienced staffing. I appreciate the use of xrays to understand the problem first instead going straight to the mri or cat scan machines for diagnostic support. Dr Allen was very practical and professional in his assessment of my problem.
