Very disappointed at how rudely I was spoken to by this office staff. I was shouted at over the phone, hung up on and not even given a chance to speak. There is never a reason to be abusive and condescending to a patient. I’ve only seen the Doctor once but am very happy to not return to this office and it’s rude staff.

Very unprofessional and rude office staff. I was spoken to in a very aggressive and condescending manner when I called to ask a question. Office assistant would not let me speak. The Doctor seemed very caring but I will never return to or recommend this practice.

Doctor and staff started out real good but then as time goes on they started treating you different and the staff was unprofessional on the phone with you and they were always right and you're always wrong. And the doctor was good for the first couple years and now this last year is treated me bad and lied I would not recommend him to anybody. I have been a patient of Dr. Torres for awhile, him and his staff are very helpful in very thing that they do for me.

I don’t know about the doctor but he prescribed gabapentin for my mom for a shoulder pain, really ? My mom is having severe shoulder pain which was relieved last time about 6 months ago with cortisone injection, this time my mom goes again with the same problem and the staff say she needs authorization by the insurance first for the injection to be given ( acceptable), so the reschedule the appointment for a week later and the pain was severe and she was desperately crying. I called the office and I said I could pay out of pocket for the injection because she wouldn’t tolerate 1 more week with pain. The staff said no! We can’t accept out of pocket payment If the patient have insurance,, I was like what ????? I asked her if this was something new in Florida law because I am a nurse and I never ever heard such a thing. I called many other offices to confirm that and they were all in shocked saying that never heard of it. Bottom line, these people don’t care about you at all, they don’t want to help, as for them it doesn’t matter if you are in pain for 1 more week, they basically refused to treat a person in pain even when you want to pay cash, negligence.!!! Dr. Torres is a very pleasant doctor who takes the time to address your problems with patience and knowledge how ever his office is impossible to reach and when you do they pick up the phone and place you on hold without giving you the chance to agree to it and then keep you waiting for excessive periods of time and when they finally come to the phone they hang up your call without hesitation. Great doctor...very poor over the phone etiquette and long very long waiting times. Dr. Torres is a good doctor, so far no problems as so ever, however some member of his staff need training on professionalism. I am very disappointed with the way I was addressed by phone. Sad!

I love Dr. Torres. He has a people personality, he listens and takes the time to talk with you to figure out how to help you. Definitely legit and not a pill mill. I have been seeing him since Dec 2016. I want to add that as a part of his services, he has a 3rd party medical assessment company that assesses you every 3-4 visits to measure with a special devices your strength, range of movement, etc. This is good in order to assess medicine, alternatives, and helps with insurance and legal matters. I just had a Facet Lumbar Rhizotomy and finally I can walk again without looking like a bent over old lady and now can stand up straight. I suffer from lower back pain, full body edema and peripheral neuropathy pain. He was referred to me by my surgeon who performed a complete Robotic Surgery that replaced L4-L5 collapsed disks. I have read comments about office reception staff not picking up phone calls etc. Well that for me is not an issue and it seems to happen with most doctor offices which is the least of my problem. All I care about is the high degree of doctor services and when I am in the office, the staff is amazing. If you want a great doctor that will help you succeed at having a way of life without drugging you up and only prescribing medicines and services that are safe and will help you then I recommend Dr. Jose Torres with 5 stars. If all you are looking for is a pill mill, then he is not for you. He has offices in Orlando and Kissimmee. I recommend him highly without hesitation. I love Dr. Torres. A real, professional, dedicated pain specialist AND board certified anesthesiologist. Don't make the mistake of seeing " pain management " and thinking "pill mill doc". Dr T is nothing like those quacks and criminals. I can recommend him without reservation if you have a bonafide chronic pain condition or severe acute pain from injury or illness. He takes the time to understand your needs and prescribes therapy, performs procedures, and/or prescribes meds as necessary for your particular situation, and is truly compassionate to his patients. This one is a GOOD doc. Have your PCP (personal care physician) send your records though: he evaluates whether he can help you and then decides if he will take you as a patient.
