DO NOT SEE DR. GARZA! He contradicted himself on the manometry test. Our special needs child was dying and he said get some carafate & Prilosec and see me in 3 months. STAY AWAY!

Dr. Garza was simply amazing. He is very attentive and although he felt that my daughter’s problem was not stemming from a gastro problem, he made certain we had the contact information for his office and his on call line. We were very pleased with our visit and his staff.

Today was our first visit with Dr. Garza. Almost as soon as we sat down we were called back and he was in shortly after! I don't think I have ever been so quickly by any Dr! My daughter was very nervous about this appointment but Dr. Garza had her laughing the minute he walked in the door. It was a great experience and I would highly recommend him.

I would give 5 stars but I didn’t care too much for his nurse who cuts you off and let’s you know she knows everything. Dr Garza was great

Dr. Garza is knowledgeable, caring and patient. Excellent bedside manner and support. I can’t say enough good things and as another post said, he changed our lives for the better.

Dr. Garza was wonderful with my impatient and tired 2 year old. We got lost and were late and were still treated wonderfully. He was quick yet through!

Dr. Garza and his nurse practitioner misdiagnosed my child with psychological issues and ignored the multiple medical issues she was having that have since been identified and treated. The presentation was smooth, but I could tell within ten minutes of meeting the nurse practitioner that she was going to say my daughter’s issues were psychological and it appeared that she was very used to giving this diagnosis. Dr. Garza suggested my daughter stop her symptoms as his “treatment” and suggested she seek therapy to fix the problem. They were not interested in her medical history and dismissed the medical issues that ultimately were causing her symptoms even though we brought them up. It appeared that his standard advice is that the problem is psychological. If your child is so sick that he or she needs a specialist, it is more than psychology. Keep seeking help until you find it. If you want a doctor who treats medical problems with medicine, you may want to keep searching.

Dr. Garza was very thorough and caring

Dr. Garza is knowledgeable about his field. He lacks empathy and bedside manner. He didn’t give us details on a three day painful test we should’ve been prepared for. He said when my daughter was nauseous and sick that she needed to “go to her happy place in her mind”. My heart broke for my daughter that has physically struggled her entire life had to be treated so coldly by him.

Be very wary of Dr Garza and his staff. Dr Garza refused to acknowledge serious medical symptoms or order diagnostic testing - instead tried (especially through his arrogant PAs) - to convince us the issues were psychological. We wasted precious time following his advice to the detriment of our child only to find a more competent physician who recognized and began to treat the situation

Dr. Garza saw my daughter first in the NICU at Northside. He and his nurse Jessie have loved her and cared for all of us over the years with top-notch medical expertise, a great willingness to collaborate with other physicians as our daughter has multiple and rare problems, and even paying us social visits when we were in hospital in other wards. We could not be more pleased with Dr. Garza!

Very happy with his medical plan for my child. I feel very confident in his medical opinions.

Very smart, explains things well, really great with making my daughter feel comfortable and not afraid of the doctor. I trust his recommendations for my daughter 100%.

My grade is based on the staff. We made an appoinment for an overnight study 2months out. I received nothing more than a vm with confirmation of the time (I have the cm transcript). Received a call that morning to tell us our appointment had been canceled because we didn't show up! I stated the appointment time was confirmed via vm & we would be there-I had already found childcare. The girl I spoke to was rude and very unprofessional and lied over the phone then hung up! I'm glad we didn't go!

I have never met an office with less compassion for their patients, especially when dealing with pediatrics. Nor have I ever experienced such disrespect where I am playing the role as patient advocate. Unfortunately, Dr. Garza is the only pediatric neurologist in Atlanta. We spend all of our time with the PA, Chris Fritzen and see very little of Dr. Garza.

This is by far one of the best physicians ever met. He shows so much compassion for what he does. I am thankful to have had the pleasure to have my child in his care.

I DO NOT and I mean DO NOT like this doctor. He has not done not one thing for my child. This doctor says one thing and does something else. Basically this doctor has not done nothing for my child. My child is suffering with Bowel issues. No one from his office returns call. I am not Happy about this Doctor not one bit. No professional at all. Bad Bedside manors as well.
