Short wait time. Office staff friendly & helpful. 1st time seeing Dr. Cardenas. Very familiar with my history. Very polite and engaging. Very knowledgeable. Excellent and active listener. Made explanations easy fir a layperson to understand. Very pleased.

I have been to various doctor's offices in the last 1.5 years and this office, by far, is the best! Not only are they very friendly, but they get you back to see the doctor very quickly. Dr. Cardenas is the nicest specialist I've ever been to. He takes his time and makes sure all of your concerns are addressed. His bedside manner is impeccable and I wish all doctors were like him! Dr. C is fantastic. Not only did he listen to all of my concerns he did a full exam to figure out what was going on. I have been to two doctors and no one would do this. Just had other doctors brush it off! So glad I came and saw Dr. Cardenas!

Dr. Jose Cardenas and his assistant are very caring and attentive. They have always been by my side. I want to thank them. May God bless these two people abundantly.

I was able to get an appointment in a very reasonable time. The staff was efficient and friendly. Dr. Cardenas was very thorough and took the time to listen to my concerns. I would definitely recommend his services.

This Doctor was recommended because my wife has been having terrible headaches! We have been calling and leaving messages for four days! Tonight I called the answering service and asked them to reach out, as this is now an emergency. After a long hold, I was told, “the doctor no longer takes calls from patients! If you have a problem, go to an urgent care!!!” Remember….first, do no harm! Thanks Doc. Hope I didn’t disturb your dinner. Dr Cardenas seems to be a superb neurologist !! He has great composure dealing with certain types of people for sure !! ?? He truly is relaxed an as patient as can be , an listens well !! I’d recommend him to anyone !! He is very explanative an helps you understand what’s going on with your situation so I feel extremely comfortable under his care !!

Dr. Cardenas is by far the best neurologist I've ever been to. He and his staff are super friendly, courteous, and efficient. I'm so happy I found this practice!

Pretty bummed about this offices “rule” of not accepting new patients that have seen a neurologist in the last THREE YEARS. that’s absolutely bonkers especially because I just moved here from California...I’m just looking for a doctor here to take care of me where my California doctor left of but they made me feel like I was doctor shopping or something. So if you’ve even seen a neurologist in the last 3 YEARS, don’t bother calling this office.

This doctor is absolutely wonderful! I waited a while to get into his office but he is definitely worth the wait! I am a migraine suffer and developed lesions on my brain. I have been symptomatic for 4 years and 2 other neurologist could not or never took the time to explain why and what was happening to me. Let me add that those symptoms would sometimes scare me because I didn't understand what was happening! My first visit he reviewed all my MRIs and answered every question I had..

I have several health issues and diseases that prompted other doctors to recommend I see Dr. Cardenas. I thank those doctors for sending me to Dr. Cardenas as he is the most courteous doctor I have seen in years. He genuinely cares about his patient and spends enough time talking to you to get all the facts. He does not rush in and out the way most medical professionals do these days. Thank you Dr. Cardenas for helping me!

Dr Cardenas listened to my symptoms and gave us some good information and treatment. I would highly recommend his services and staff.

Dr. Cardenas is my neurologist, even though I am a stubborn patient he is so kind and so skilled. Yes the wait will be long as with any specialist but with dr. Cardenas it is certainly worth it!

I have ideopathic intracranial hypertension and my vision has been compromised but I can't be seen until the end of august. I'm sure he is a great doctor, but I wish for emergency cases there were options so I wouldn't have to live with constant debilitating migraines and nausea. It's scary waiting and hoping the pressure in my brain won't cause permanent damage before someone will see me.

Big waste of time and big disappointment! Back in September, I set up an appointment prior to moving to Tennessee. The earliest they could get me in was December 12th. I had all of my records sent over from my previous neurologist. Dr. Cardenas reviewed the records, and because of the amount of time that I was waiting to get in for my first appointment (3 1/2 months), he agreed to do the Botox Injections for treatment of migraine headaches on the first appointment, December 12th. Dr. Cardenas is great! He listens and he explains things very well and very patiently. In comparison with my experience with many doctors (not only in his field, but others), I rate him very highly in patient interaction and care.

When I moved to Knoxville, I had to find a new migraine doc. I used to go to the Diamond Headache Clinic in Chicago, so my standards are high. I chose Dr. C based on his membership in headache-related professional societies--a good call! He listens, he cares about the patient's problems and he is always willing to answer questions. In fact, he seems to enjoy questions that show the patient has been doing some research. He provides more info than I expected. He's great and I'm glad I found him.

Dr Cardenas, makes you feel very comfortable. He is very knowledgeable in his field of practice. I am very blessed in having him as my Neurologist. His medical assistant and Nurse Practitioner are fantastic.
