Dr. Jose M Barrios

Dr. Barrios was a kind physician and seemed to care about my daughter's well being. While he was never able to reach any resolution for us, he was pleasant to work with. However, this practice is a mess. Had I not worked in healthcare for years, I would have been in tears. Lost records, failure to call back, cancelled appointments, incorrect billing, significant practice changes with no notice to patients (they went corporate and changed their name but we were never notified and had to hunt them down for follow up care) etc. The list just goes on and on. When you have a sick child, fighting with rude and uncaring staff is the last thing you need. Unfortunately, you work with the staff more than the doctor which makes this a bad experience. We worked over a year with this practice to never reach any resolution or referrals that were helpful. I would refer to Dr. Barrios again but not the mess of his office. Skip this frustration of this practice and go to Children's.

Dr. Barrios is one of the kindest, funniest, and knowledgeable docs out there.

Dr Barrios is fantastic! Our son has been seeing Dr Barrios for the past 3 years due to a long term issue which is resolving due to Dr. Barrios’s expertise. He always explains the treatment plan and answers all of our questions. I highly recommend Dr Barrios.

I highly recommend Dr. Barrios. His bedside manner is fantastic, he made my son really comfortable and has treated my husband and me with kindness and exceptional respect. His staff is friendly and capable. I especially appreciated the extra time he took to explain things and answer our questions. When my son's symptoms were not resolved, he kept working to find the answer. Dr. Barrios' determination led to my son being finally diagnosed with a rare and highly treatable condition. His quality of life has improved dramatically with treatment. We are very grateful to have found Rocky Mountain Pediatric Gastroenterology! I highly recommend Dr. Barrios. Dr. Barrios was very thorough and informative. He took as much time as I needed and answered all my questions very clearly. I am very satisfied with his care and I would definitely recommend him to anyone needing GI help.
