Recently had an in person exam that went well. No wait time. Dr. Kellogg explained what what going on with my neck in terms is could understand and gave me the best available option for treatment. The pre op tellapiontment went well. Felt all my questions were answered clearly. Staff has been friendly and helpful as well which is appreciated!

Everything was explained to me in a way I could understand. Questions were answered in positive manner. Everyone was cheerful and seemed happy to make me feel comfortable before surgery.

Jordi did my first back surgery and only! Jordi was suppose to preform ALIF to remove L5-S1 found out 6 weeks later after a MRI showed L4-L5 was removed not L5-S1. Another warning sign to go else where the front desk lady (not Jackie) forged Jordi's signature on my narcotic refill because they didn't "know where he was." She no longer workers for him. Would like to hear from those of you who rated him 5 stars how you are doing now? People do your research with Medical Board of Oregon that will tell you everything about him. Here are photos from the medical board website concerning Jordi. He REMOVED THE WRONG DISC AGAIN on a patient in 2018!! Apparently he didn’t learn his lesson in 2014 when he removed the wrong DISC in my back! Jordi thank you for messing my body up. I trusted you as a Surgeon you took a oath and failed!!! Now I have ileostomy stoma, have to self cath and wear adult diapers all because you removed the wrong disc. I wish I could get a hold of every person you did ill will too against and have you listen to our horror stories! Jordi did my first back surgery and only! I was so happy with Dr Kellogg he explained things so it was easy for me to understand. I had gone to a neurologist prior and saw his nurse practioner who kept leaving the room to go talk to the doctor. I was upset that the doctor did not talk with us considering I waited 2 months for an appointment So I needed a second opinion. It was nice that Dr. Kellogg came in to talk with me and my husband. I will continue my care with Dr Kellogg.

My 1st time in and I was met with great caring staff. Not only was I seen by Dr Kellogg, they jumped through hoops for me to get a same day MRI. I WAS surprised but so GRATEFUL! Then I came back to the office to find out why I am in so much pain. I am scheduled within nine days of my original meeting with Dr. Kellogg to hopefully fix my problem by removing the cyst. I felt understood and Heard. Now looking forward to getting fixed soon. My 1st time in and I was met with great caring staff. Dr Kellogg literally changed my life with my L5-S1 fusion. Before the surgery I could hardly walk more that 100 feet before needing to sit down due to back and leg pain. This has allowed me to continue working and doing other life activities with greatly reduced pain in my back and NO LEG PAIN! His style is very direct and no B.S. I like that. He is conservative with his approach to doing surgeries, which I like. He is not in a hurry to cut, like other surgeons. He says: " I won't operate until you tell me you can't stand your situation any more" I fully recommend him and his courteous staff to anyone considering back surgery.

I haven't met yet Dr.Kellog but it was enough for me to meet his PA Omar. I felt totally hopeless after seeing Dr. Ball, who based in my own experience shouldn't be even a doctor . I don't have enough of good words to describe how thoroughly Omar went over my MRI and my past surgical history. I am yet to discuss my final diagnosis and how to move forward but after meeting Omar I feel confident this providers will choose the best procedure for me. I am hopeful again, thank you Omar for taking the time to explain my condition and what it would take to get in a better place. Dr Kellogg almost operated on the wrong disc! He scheduled a L4-5 microdiscectomy and I checked the MRI report and it seemed like the major protrusion was at L5-S1. I’m not a doctor so of course I got a second opinion and my suspicion was confirmed! His office staff tried to backtrack when I asked them about it. Very unprofessional.

Dr Jordi Kellogg stands head and shoulders above other Neurosurgeons. My spine is extremely deformed and complex. In 2017 Dr Kellogg operated on me and placed artificial discs at C-5-6 and C-6-7, below a (failed) fusion at C-4-5. Despite the crazy curvature and complications in my neck / cervical spine, this surgery restored the use of my arms and has allowed me to retain significant motion and extension of the neck. Every surgeon I have encountered afterward (I have several surgeons that work on different parts of my spine due to complexity) has commented on the Amazing work performed by Dr Kellogg. I completely agree! I have endured 15 spinal reconstructions, spinal arachnoiditis, osteomyelitis, nerve damage and numerous complications. I visited with other neurosurgeons that had no idea how to resolve the issues I presented with during my visit with Dr Kellogg. I highly recommend Dr Kellogg! I am grateful for his talents and the exceptional work he performs.

My journey was a long one that began in 2006, but I’m happy to say Dr. Kellogg and his surgeon PA Omar Gonzales pretty much have saved me from what has been years of agony and deterioration into near paralysis due to my cervical spine. After my surgery on September 16 last month (my 4th) I finally feel like my pre-2014 self. My first surgery was 2006 & my second 2014.... life went to HELL after that until On December 31, 2017 Dr. Kellogg walked into the emergency room and told me I had to have a laminectomy. It was an emergency and he performed perfectly my bones look beautiful. I love Dr. Kellogg and I love his office staff (his office manager Jackie is about as sweet as you can get). They are serious professionals...Very competent very honest & no nonsense. I have one more minimally invasive surgery in the next couple of weeks & trust them to do everything in their power to make sure it is the last one I will ever have thank the Lord !

My mom had a slipped disc in her neck. 3 surgeries from this guy still didnt fix my mom. Said he missed the mark himself on surgery number one. He left the room and then came back into the room with a different outlook and claimed it was my moms bones density. Ha right.... Also my mother said that it was a certain bone like she was told and shown on x-ray and he said it wasnt that one even though it obviously is. Also him and his assistant teased her for having a pillow for her arm all the time because of her pain. Hes milking the hell out of my moms insurance company too with ridiculous fees.. He said that he wasnt going to do anymore for her because he doesnt see what else could be done. I am fed up. my mom has been in pain since spring 2018. It is now november 2018. We ended up going to a different surgeon who said he didnt know why this man and his team did what they did to my mom. He fixed the correct disc. She is now rehabbing her arm and nerves. I absolutely trust Dr. Kellogg for any spinal surgeries. I had a microdiscectomy in 2006 & have had no problems with it in the past 12 yrs. I am now facing a fusion of L3-5 & have returned to him for his opinion after getting the brush off from another surgeon. We are looking at conservative measures to start. My husband had 2 different surgeries both discectomy of the L5 S1 within 2 years by Kellogg. All questions or concerns we had he would brush over saying it is a risk of surgery. Prior to the second surgery we voiced our concerns regarding a second surgery which Kellogg was recommending. Kellogg responded to our concerns by again saying there was no guarantee with surgery and an attitude that we were blaming him! This was of course not our intention only to make sure we were making the right decision of a second surgery! No follow up appointments were ever done which I feel is negligent and when we tried to call with concerns or questions the staff was abrupt and unhelpful even the office manager rudely told us "Its not my problem if you cannot accommodate our appointment times. No attempt was ever made to accommodate a follow up with my husband after either surgery even after we informed Kellogg that my husband was having the same pain in his back for a third time. Their response was to schedule an appointment in 3 1/2 months. After waiting for so long just to get an appointment the staff called us 2 days prior to appointment to ask for a MRI which they never informed us to obtain! The office staff is always in chaos and unorganized every visit we would wait the longest wait was close to an hour! Please don't take a chance with your health stay away from this Quack and the nightmare of paying $$$ for 2 surgeries which only made my husband's back worse! After 5 WEEKS of BS, shuffling around from one "wrong" practitioner to another, I saw Dr. Kellogg. After my MRI he showed me what was wrong, explained all, and took care of my ailment. It was not only a relief, but I felt safe and in good hands (sense of humor too!). This was a disc (4 & 5) smashing a nerve procedure (ACDF if I recall, 2 "plates", 6 screws) 10 years ago....NO problems.

First visit with him was w/his unkind PA for evaluation for possible surgery? After 5 min.visit w/him he performed spine surgery 2 days after X-mas, just after returning from vacation. Briefly met me, unshaven and appearing tired before and after surgery popped into room early AM w/out saying Hi, and blurted “Do you feel better?” Was he joking?Sent me home with a few pills and left me suffering w/no refill. I suffered! Told other docs about him and learned he is“old school” Not compassionate:-)

Dr Kellogg helped me understand what my prospects were to make a good decision. He was patient and listened to all my symptoms and experiences, we went over the MRI and discussed all possibilities and repercussions. He was the 3rd DR I talked to, I felt like I could relax and make a decision. If I need surgery I would definitely go to him. His manner is very caring and gentle, I was able to relax.

The staff upfront seems to be nice but that is short lived. Dr.Kellogg only cares about one thing and that is money. He performed a ALIF surgery on me only to find out 3 months later it was the wrong level. Not once did he check in with me while I was in the hospital post-op surgery. I am not a person that likes to criticize people but, please get a second opinion. One last thing his receptionist on several occasions filled out prescriptions and forged his signature. So glad I found a new DR.

I had two surgeries both fusion on my neck. I have met so many other individuals who had fusions done by other doctors and none of them have come out pain free with no other issues following. I like Dr. Kellogg's mannerism because he is forthright, honest and most of all, matter of fact. This is how it is. So many doctors today skim over the issues and do not do the honest approach. Well, 5 stars is supposed to mean "loved it", but needing ACDF surgery isn't something to "love". However, the care I received from Dr. Kellogg and his staff was GREAT! I'd suffered a LOT before seeing him and having the diagnosis/operation. I just referred a friend who is experiencing left arm pain, needed to find a link, and saw there were no reviews. If any doctor/clinic deserves praise, its this one. I was in agony, and since the surgery, I'm not! Today is Apr 2, 2014. I had it done in Oct, 2008. Good luck to you, and don't waste time, see him!
