This place took advantage of me at my worst. He got me for more than $300 for a test I didn’t even need. Go elsewhere if you value your time and money.

Doctor Ham is wonderful, I am not fond of the verification process, my appointment was cancelled a day prior via text because I hadn't had time to do the paperwork. When I tried to call to discuss, I had to leave a message with an answering service. I will find another provider. It's unfortunate as Doctor Ham is a good doctor.

I went to see for an issue I've been having and was told that they had to verify with insurance to ensure that the procedure would be covered. I get that they have to wait to see but I called back 1 week, 2nd and 3rd week after the initial appointment to get an update or get something scheduled, no calls were ever returned. The thing with their phone system is that for non-emergencies, it's automatically routed to an answering service where they take the messages so I didn't even talk to anyone in their office. Not even an update call or anything. To top it off, I had to pay a $340 Deposit to cover costs not covered by insurance. I will say that they called back quick when I called to get a refund back. The process over the phone is excellent and truly the best process as a first time patient however when they tell you you're all set up for success for your appointment they do not tell you to be prepared to pay your deductible. If I had my card on me I would of paid. I live local and they refused to see me. I am very unhappy as I was excited to see Dr. Ham. Just be prepared and know your deductible because they tell you youre all set for success but do not tell you about your payment. Go to Northwestern Huntley as they do not play this game! Dr. Ham is by far the best ear, nose and throat specialist that has treated me. He's very thorough and also very compassionate. Dr. Ham has a highly professional office and nursing staff. I would highly recommend Dr. Ham. You will not find a better ear, nose and throat doctor anywhere!!!!

I wish I could give more stars. I typically don't take the time to review medical professionals but here I am. My mom, who doesn't speak English well and has severe anxiety, was referred to Dr. Ham. He was patient and compassionate, and made sure that explained everything thoroughly and in plain language that was easy for my mom to understand, even though I was there to translate. My mom felt heard and understood, and Dr. Ham took the time to address all of her concerns, all while being super pleasant and friendly, and not in a fake way. Very caring and pleasant demeanor. Dr. Ham solved my condition when 2 other ENT's couldn't. He is excellent.

Dr. Ham is the best surgeon hands down!! He spends time with you and makes sure you have a clear understanding before exiting your room. He never makes you feel rushed once he enters your room you have his complete undivided attention. He performed my thyroid surgery in December. My daughter needed to be seen right away from sticking something up her nose we had gone to the urgent care the night before and they didn’t have the proper tools I called them and they got us in right away with no hesitation so thankful for them!! Highly recommend them as they really care!!

Dr. Ham performed two surgeries on me over a 2 1/2 month time frame. One was a large lipoma growth removal at the base of my skull and the second was a Nasal Septal Reconstruction. In both procedures, Dr. Ham was very thorough in the explanation of the procedure in the office with me prior and then in the post-op with my spouse. I found Dr. Ham to be very knowledgeable and skilled in determining and performing the least invasive but most effective procedure. He really cares about improving the quality of life in his patients and is all business about getting to the desired result. I would also like to recognize his office "team" who is also very thorough and efficient and professional. I am extremely satisfied with my experience. My 88 year old mother had a thyroidectomy performed by Dr. Ham last week. My mother was considered a "high risk" patient due to her other medical issues. Dr. Ham was very patient with her. He made sure that he had the input from her other doctors before moving forward with this procedure. He explained everything about the procedure and the risks associated with it to my mother and family members. His staff was also very helpful with coordinating with the hospital and other doctors to get them the information they needed in order to schedule the surgery. The procedure went very well and my mother is doing well with her recovery. My mother is very grateful for having Dr. Ham as her surgeon and highly recommends him. I had lost hearing in my ear due to a clog and was recommended by Sherman hospital. They were able to see me the same day! The staff was very polite and well mannered. Mr Ham came in and took care of my ear problem in like 10 min. His great sense of humor made it even more enjoyable! Thanks! All of my recommendations will be to Mr Ham and his office! Highly Recommend! I was sent to Dr. Ham's office by the Sherman Hospital ER due a CT scan showing a sizable mass in my throat. Dr. Ham walked me through the results of the CT scan and the probable diagnosis in a way that was easy to understand. I was able to get scheduled the following day for a biopsy and tonsillectomy. Prior to the surgery Dr. Ham did a great job of explaining the procedure and putting me at ease. At my follow-up appointment about a week later, he thoroughly explained my pathology report. I am extremely grateful I was referred to Dr. Ham and can’t say enough about how comfortable he made me feel during a very uncertain and scary time. Excellent care! Highly Recommend! Dr. Ham has magical hands! I had to have a total thyroidectomy. Dr. Ham meticulously explained the procedure prior to surgery and thoroughly discussed the results with me. He executed the incision in a nature line in my neck. Looking in the mirror is surprisingly so much better than I could have ever expected! The scare is fresh still, but it is already harder to see than those I've seen that were done on others years ago.

From the first visit to the surgery and the follow up. Dr. Ham was amazing on every way possible way.

Great experience. I was referred to Dr. Ham and he took the time to explain everything and insure I understood. He recommended a procedure and we decided together to move forward. Everything went as planned and I will refer him to others in the future.

Awesome doctor! Took his time to explained me my condition, then walked me to a small surgery room in his office. In the room. he showed me through a camera what was wrong and proceed to fixed my breathing problem. I saw other doctors, but he was the only one to find my problem. I highly recommend him!!!!

I met Dr. Ham during my stay at a local hospital. I was being treated for a continuous nose bleed that was already over a 11 hour period. The attending emergency doctor contacted Dr. Ham for advice in the treatment of my condition. Dr. Ham was in the hospital at the time of my stay. Dr. Ham came to my room just as they were ready to send me to surgery. After his inspection of my situation, he indicated that the procedure could be accomplished without putting me under any type of anesthesia. He set up everything at his office upon my release from the hospital. Once I was released from the hospital, I met Dr. Ham at his office which was already prepared for my procedure. In less than 30 minutes, Dr. Ham located the cause and corrected the situation immediately. I am extremely grateful for Dr. Ham, and his staff, on the professionalism and courtesy they provided to my husband and myself. I had a procedure to my neck. The surgery went better than expected. The fatty mass was removed and the only pain I experienced was the night right after surgery. The next day felt good. Like the follow-up on how I was doing after the surgery. The neck feels good.

His post op discharge process , care and respect for patients is severely lacking. He told my husband he would be discharged at 10 am, at 2:30 pm we were still waiting for his doctor to call back with when he will be seeing him for discharge.

Dr. Ham is intelligent, competent, caring and flexible. He takes time with patients to properly troubleshoot their problems and address any concerns that they might have before making recommendations. If simpler treatment methods fail, he is also an excellent surgeon.

Most dissapointing unethical experience. I absolutely do not recommend!

Dr. Ham takes the time to explain things thoroughly . My procedure was complicated and other doctors were unwilling to do it. Dr. Ham carefully explained all of the options and possible complications. He has considerable experience and I felt confident in his abilities. My outcome was very positive.

My medical research coach booked an appt. for me as a new patient on Dec. 14th 2017 to see Dr. Ham. They made and confirmed my appt. for Dec. 29th. Today on Dec. 22nd after a week with a set appt. they called to say my appt. was cancelled because Dr. Ham would not be available. They're accommodation for this was to tell me his next available was sometime after January 10, 2018 My appt. should have moved up to correct their booking error, not 2 weeks back. This doctor should not be recommended.

I highly recommend Dr. Ham. My experience with Dr. Ham and his office has been excellent. I was referred to him by my primary physician. My situation was urgent.. I was given an immediate appointment. Dr. Ham is very thorough and clear when he explains reports and diagnosis to patients. He answers questions carefully, and makes sure that you understand his answers. Dr. Ham works well with other physicians such as your primary care doctor and other specialists by keeping them informed.

My husband went to see Dr. Ham for dizziness. We ended up with a ridiculously high bill for completely unnecessary procedures like nasal endoscopy (!). Be aware as some doctors have turned into salesmen and try to rob you as much as they can. Would not recommend.

Dr. Ham and his team have done a wonderful job with getting my allergies under control. When I had started I was breaking out in hives and considering sinus surgery. I was taking several prescription medications daily to calm my allergies. It is now a manageable issue, although it was a slow process of a few years to get to this point (due to how severe my allergies are). Linda in the allergy lab is also such a sweetheart and she is an incredibly caring person. Not to mention, their entire staff is very kind. Thank you for all you've done! I was referred to Dr. Ham for a thyroid removal. This Dr. is an excellent surgeon. After one month, I have very minimal scarring from the surgery. I get many compliments for his work. The office staff was very efficient and personable. Highly recommend him and his staff.

Dr. Ham is a fantastic ENT doctor who performed a total thyroid removal operation on me. He listened & answered my numerous questions & concerns in detail before the operation and at a level which my wife and I could understand. The operation was a success and you can barely see where the incision was made because he did it where it would blend in with a "neck crease". I found out he did a fellowship in plastic surgery which explains the great job he did on the incision and suture.

I have been going to Dr. Ham for three years. I had a nose that many doctors would not fix for me. I could not breath thought my nose very well for most of my life. When Dr. Ham looked me over he said that he could fix my nose. To this day I can breath and you are a blessing to me. Dr. Ham is the best. I thank you for your help and giving me a better life. Dr. Ham performed surgery on ear for removal of cancer from sun damage. Operation was very successful and cannot tell that large section taken from ear was removed. Incredible job and removing the affected area of cancer and cosmetically did a fantastic job. Dr. Ham and staff are great and would recommend anyone needing advise or surgery to use him with confidence.

On my recent appointment with Dr. Ham. I came in with a sore throat, somewhat difficulty swallowing, etc. He was very compassionate and thorough. After a routine checking of my ears, he numbed up my nostrils. He sent a probe down my nose narrated what he was looking at and said it all looked good. He suggested I go to my gastro doctor for an endoscopy to check if my esophagus was good. I recommended him to my friend and he removed her thyroid. She (and I) have high praise for Dr. Ham.

Dr. Ham removed my 14 year old daughters tonsils last year. He was very gentle with her and explained things so she could understand what to expect. She's never been healthier. I had sinus reconstructive surgery with Dr, Ham 2 weeks ago. Again I couldn't be happier with the process and the results. His "bedside manner" is very good and he really understands his specialty. Everyone in the office is always friendly and helpful especially Val.

Dr. Ham Listen carefully to me as I described my symptoms and then did his exam. He prescribed the test that enabled my diagnosis. This was on the first visit after 3 1/2 years of seeing other doctors.

Recently visited the office of Dr. Ham and was quite pleased. The office staff was fantastic and couldn't be nicer. Dr. Ham was awesome. Listened to my problem and took the necessary steps to make sure I didn't have a bigger problem. Great sense of humor in both Dr. Ham and the ladies up front. Great experience.

Dr. Ham performed surgery to remove my thyroid. He explained the procedure in detail, making sure all my questions were answered and I felt comfortable with what was going to happen. My name is Nadia Grillo. I have been a patient since 2010. I then lived in Elgin. I had my checkup every 6 months. I have since moved to Green Bay, WI on Sept. 5, 2014. He has treated me well through out these past years. I will not change Dr. Ham for anyone else. It takes me about 4 hours to get to his office and believe I don't mind the travel. Always upbeat, professional. Listens to patients. Gives advice and opinion without a lot of fuss and bother. Never met a more personable physician.

I saw Dr. Ham on Aug 12, 2016. When I left his office I had no faith in him. I have used a Neti Pot for years and always ended up on antibiotics. Have had 4 sinus surgeries. He told me to use Johnson's Baby Shampoo with the saline packets. Since I have been doing that when my sinuses act up I have not had to go on antibiotics. I am so thankful and highly recommend Dr. Ham.

Dr. Ham is simply wonderful. He is a very good doctor who is very competent in his knowledge, medical judgment, and implementation of procedures. He is both conscientious and caring, and actually listens to his patient which leads to the best outcome in his assessment and treatment. In my visits with him he has always a pleasant and positive demeanor, and he thoroughly explains the problem, diagnosis, treatment and options, etc. I have always had the utmost confidence in him.

I have suffered from sinus related problems all of my life and was recommended to him by some fellow employees who had been treated by him and were quite satisfied. Long story short he is extremely thorough in his explanations and what I could expect from surgery. It's been three months since the surgery and it was definitely worth it. Breathing much better, less congestion, less frequent sinus headaches and according to my wife my snoring has pretty much stopped. Highly recommend him, great Dr.

Dr. Ham is thorough, patient and also quite funny. He cares very much for his patients. He made me feel better when 3 prior doctors were unable to.

I have not met a doctor with a better bedside manner that I can think of than Dr. Ham. My son has been going through some strange health issues, and Dr. Ham took the time sit right next to me and go over each lab result and test, line by line, in layman's terms, so I understood what was going on with my boy. Better yet - I didn't even ask him to. He is very knowledgeable with a peaceful demeanor. The office staff is great! I will recommend him every chance I get.

What a kind and gentle man....he gives his all to every patient.First visit he listened the numerous issues I was having: sleep apnea, hearing loss,chronic cough, deviated nasal septum. He patiently listened to everything I told him, and scoped my nose and mouth and showed me on the screen the various deviations that was causing my many symptoms. No hesitation in scheduling surgical procedure because he explained how it would alleviate problems. 2-1/2 hrs I was there. He was incredibly thorough.

I've been dealing with debilitating allergies for the past five years. I was referred to Dr. Ham by a family member and I'm so glad I was! Within a few office visits I had a game plan on how to move forward. This last December I underwent full sinus reconstructive surgery. The procedure went flawless and I've not had a sinus pressure headache since!!! Dr. Ham is professional and has the heart of a teacher. If you suffer from sinus issues I would highly recommend making an appointment!!!
