I’ve been his patient for at least 8 years now. I love him. He’s a great Doctor and a wonderful person

This doctor has zero bedside manner. Very rude and condescending. Relates every issue to you needing your head checked. I would give zero stars if I could. Find someone else and don’t even waste your time here. And that’s after waiting 2 hours past my appt time to be seen.

The worst worst office service in this Dr Leffert place , never use this doctor , They never answer your phone , they hold you for long time and never back to answer your call , they never return your message , I never have a bad experience and see terrible service like this office in my life !

Wife just went for an annual checkup on thyroid. Dr. Leffert treated her HORRIBLY. Condescending jerkwad. Finding another doctor, as there are plenty of others in Dallas who respect patients. If I could rate this guy with zero stars, I would.

Awful waited an hour and 40 minutes, no one ever checked on us, finally walked out. Waste of time and money.

If I could give zero stars I would. He is always late!!!! Today I am waiting from 11:10 to 1:10 and I am in an exam room burning up and hungry. If you ask him questions he gets defensive and says things like “you came to me because I am a doctor, do you want to know what science says or do you want to go by what you read?” Dr Leffert— I want to go by what my body says- you tell me my numbers are in range yet I feel horrible still after you have treated me for months. You tell me you can’t do anything- but the thyroid affects so many organs and functions and you suggest a psychiatrist. People- this man is not going to get to the bottom of your issues- he wants to prescribe one size fits all pill and send you away…. But only after he makes you sit and wait for hours. Do not waste your time like I have. I am a newly diagnosed hyperthyroid patient of 6 months- I am not letting him mismanage my health going forward. Dr. Leffert is consistently at least one hour late for EVERY appointment I've ever scheduled with him, showing a complete disregard for his patients' time. It's as if he goes out of his way to make patients wait. jbvance

Very terrible experience especially with the doctor. Doesn’t know how to communicate properly and is very rude toward the patients. I do not recommend going to him.

I have no issues with dr. Lefferts proficiency as a doctor or his bedside manner... but was beyond frustrated with his lack of respect for my time. Both times I visited Dr Leffert I waited in the Exam room close to an hour and a half before being seen. I will be going elsewhere in the future for that sole reason

Excellent patient care. Listened to my concerns and issues. Has in clinic testing - at least for my problem. Finally, took a holistic view of my health. Thumbs up.

Dr Leffert is very caring and thorough. I am happy to have found him.

Have Type 1 diabetes and cant get an insulin prescription refilled because doctor forgot to call it in. Tried to call office and only get voice mail and no return call in 5 hours. Still waiting!! This is pathetic and the worst run office that I have ever dealt with.

I had an Amazing experience at this office with the staff and especially with Shay and Dr Leffert. I've never been to this kind of Doctor before and Shay the assistant was Awesome with explaining what she could and My New Endocrinologist Dr Leffert has a Loyal patient and friend for Life. I found Dr. Leffert very professional, quite caring, excellent in his knowledge, thorough in his diagnosis, and very informative in his instructions about future care. His office staff was also excellent. I recommend him very highly.

I found Dr Leffert through BC/BS and found I had a great experience. He was timely and professional. He listened carefully to my concerns and did an ultrasound in the office as part of my visit. I was happy to get immediate attention to my medical issues and the ultrasound. His diagnosis was detailed and reassuring. He did recommend a follow up and his staff made the call to schedule. I found everyone easy to work with. I am particular about my care and he was wonderful.

From making the appointment, confirmation, and communication this whole experience was a disaster. I was in that office over two and a half hours, and never did see doctor. Office manager called next day, left a message. I have called four times and she has not returned call. It’s been 2 and a half weeks. What a terrible experience. Very unprofessional. Bottom line, I need to find a new Doctor!

The worst staff! I hate to put a negative review on anyone's business but people need to be aware of this practice as staff is way unorganized, ambiguos and totally unprofessional. Dr Leffert is kind and knowledgeable but he would only see you once and then you're referred to a nurse practitioner. I wouldn't go back

I went to Dr. Leffert many years ago. He is a very kind and Christian man who is not ashamed to speak of God which helped me to trust and feel I am in good hands. The only issue I had was, he didn't seem to put any stock in what I was saying about the reaction to the dosage of the medication. He just said, test results were "normal." Not so for my body. Do NOT settle for that. You know your body. Everyone's body is different. If your body is reacting in an abnormal way to medication and the doctor is reluctant to change the dosage, then seek a second opinion. I sought second and third opinions. One endocrinologist advised the lab test results showed, "HIGHEST" in the NORMAL range which was causing a horrible and almost life threatening reaction. This endocrinologist was a God-send. He CUT the dosage in HALF and it was perfect. He was my doctor for many years. Sadly, he retired several years ago. I started a search for a new endocrinologist, one who will pay attention to the issues I have had in the past and will adjust dosage if needed. I remembered Dr. Leffert being a man of God and thought I would make an appointment and discuss how he practices, listens to patients, etc. Before the appointment I searched his website. I learned he had a nurse practitioner. I called his office to discuss the appointment procedures. It was my understanding after the initial examination by Dr. Leffert, his nurse practitioner takes over. IF, IF the nurse practitioner feels it is a serious issue she will discuss it with Dr. Leffert. Otherwise, you are being treated by a nurse practitioner. That is not for me. My aunt who has a serious blood pressure illness had been being treated by a doctor for years. This doctor practices in a small-mid size town where word of mouth travels fast. No doctor wants negative comments. He hired a nurse practitioner. The nurse practitioner doubled my aunt's blood pressure med. Thank goodness she had better sense. She left a message for the doctor to call her. He called her and she advised him his nurse practitioner doubled her blood pressure med. The doctor had a FIT and instructed her to disregard the prescription. I have a feeling the nurse practitioner lost her job. I want the doctor to examine and treat me. NOT a nurse practitioner or physician assistant. I called and canceled the appointment with Dr. Leffert. I found one who listens to the patient's symptoms and will prescribe dosages accordingly. Starting off wasn't that great. I was referred to Dr. Leffert for medicine. His staff was completely and utterly horrible. I could never get anyone on the phone/get a call back. The first appointment I went to I was aggrivated to say the least. Dr. Leffert was 2 hours late (i drive 3 hours to go to the doctor.) After he finally came in I learned why he was behind. DR LEFFERT IS A VERY CARING AND PATIENT DR. He asked and answered so many questions. He was literally in the room with me for an hour. It was amazing of him. After that first visit, he emailed/called to check on me and let me know test results. When he patched me through to make my next appointment it rang back to his PERSONAL desk to which he answered and was not to happy that they did not pick up. After holding for another 10 mins it rang back to his office again. He wasn't beside his phone anymore- so I left a message saying that I had not been helped and if he could take care of that it would be great. With in an hour I had an office staff calling to sched my appointment. His staff- not so great. DR LEFFERT -WHO THIS REVIEW IS SUPPOSED TO BE ABOUT- HAS BEEN ABSOLUTELY AMAZING WITH ME. Absolutely the worst experience I've ever had with a doctors office. My husband saw Dr. Leffert's physicians assistant two weeks ago and they still cannot seem to figure out how to fax his new prescription to our pharmacy. I found Dr. Leffert's bedside manner, to start with, rather abrasive, but once talking with him, I realized he is kind and professional. He was the exact doctor I was looking for for my hyperthyroidism. I would certainly recommend him.

Dr. Leffert's office was able to get my son in very quickly, in fact they even called when they had a cancellation and moved his appointment up a week. Dr. Leffert spent well over an hour with my son and took the time to answer all of our questions, never once acting bothered by us. I left a message with his staff after my son had a trip to the ER and Dr Leffert personally called to check on him.. Highly recommend his office

I have not even been in to see this Doctor yet and I am regretting making the appointment. I live 3 hours away and can not even get anyone on the phone. Took 3 days of endless calling to make an appointment. I have been on hold NOW for 15 mins collectively. Hung up on 3 times and when I called back the last I got "thank you for calling can you please hold?" I said no ma'am I have been holding and have been hung up on 3 times. She says "OH well hold on" that was 7 mins ago now.

He seemed nice enough but I felt a tad rushed with my first visit with him. Once my visit was done and it came to talk about returning he informed that I would not see him any more but his PA. I don't mind PA's but I have an issue with paying the same amount to see a PA as the doctor. I did not return.

I like his treatment approach. His staff is an entirely different matter for the most part. His medical assistant takes a very long time to get back on any messages - matter of fact her vmail states something to the effect "don't leave more than 1 vmail I'll get to you". I can't imagine having that on my work vmail! Front desk staff not much better - can't be bothered and have zero compassion. Not fit for a job in the medical field.

I agree with others, I like Dr. Leffert but the wait times and trying to reach out to the clinic is a cat and mouse game to get to actually talk to someone. I get no response and just get frustrated that no one can help me and when I am coming in the office it's always a LONG 2 hour or more wait to see the DR.

Dr Leffert is a fine doctor, but scheduling and wait times seem to be problematic. The shortest wait time I have ever had was 90 minutes, but usually is around 2 hours. Then when I do see the doctor the appt has never been more than 10 minutes. I understand that doctors can run behind, but the staff should call and let the patients know so that they don't have to leave work and sit in the waiting room. Telling the patient the doctor is running late after arrival at the office is pointless.

Worst experience I have ever had in a doctor’s office! I had 7 appointments over a 1 year period (usually 6 weeks apart). I was only seen on-time for one of my appointments. My usual wait time was 30 minutes after my scheduled appointment, even though I had arrived early. For my last appointment I had to wait 2 hours, and Dr. Leffert didn’t even apologize! Highly inappropriate. Dr. Leffert is a good doctor but I cannot waste my time like this.
