Dr. Jonathan Charles Kraus

I had surgery with Dr. Kraus following a motor vehicle accident to my right heel hardware was placed incorrectly which lacked proper compression and destroyed my Subtalar ankle joint. My bones never fused after a year and half. I had revision surgery which required 5 hours in the operating room. The revision surgery stated Dr. Kraus did a terrible job and left my foot a mess. I do not recommend him for foot or ankle injuries. He needs more training or should refer out to other surgeons that are more skilled with experience treating foot and ankle injuries. Going with Dr. Kraus has set me back. I’ve have been out of work undergoing two surgeries and has subjected me to additional pain and suffering.

Being in contact on a regular basis with important information about surgery and recovery as extremely helpful.

From the start of my visits to the after care of my surgery, Dr Kraus and his staff have been phenomenal. I felt very enthusiastic and at ease knowing that I was in good hands. I was confident that I was going to come out of my surgery feeling better and I did. Thanks again for the great care. Keep up the good work. I would definitely recommend you to anyone else needing care.

Dr Kraus was very clear from preop through postop re my ankle surgery. He has a very comprehensive medication plan postop and the extra care he does with skin and splinting prevented skin deteriorating also. It is obvious he is very attentive to wanting pts needs met. His PA was also excellent -always was in communication with Dr Kraus providing excellent and respectful care. The use of the GetWellLoop was easy to communicate daily with staff online with any concerns for two weeks postop. I have only positive things to say about my experience. And being a nurse for over 30 years that should mean something.

Dr. Kraus explained the surgery that was needed as well as the pros and cons. He has an easy to communicate manner which is helpful.

Observant and knowledgeable doctor with a great team.

Dr. Kraus took time to listen to me and answer all questions and concerns. He is an excellent surgeon and came highly recommended to me. My calf was a little swollen and set up an ultrasound right away to rule out ant blood clots.

I had foot surgery. I had a triple fusion and a lengthening of my Achilles’ tendon.

I broke my leg and needed surgery. I was able to get in to see Dr Kraus and his staff the next day. They set up and guided me through all that was needed for the pre-op, surgery and post-op. My stay overnight at the hospital after surgery was comfortable and everyone there was great too. Everyone throughout my experience has been kind and friendly while still being professional. They checked in via the get well loop every day and answered my questions promptly. Overall I’m very satisfied with the care I received.

Dr Jonathan Kraus and his entire team have been nothing but professional, kind and caring. From the girl that took my call and got me an appointment with Dr J Kraus to the entire hospital staff were excellent! Can’t thank them enough for all of the great care! My hat is off to Dr Jonathan Kraus for his magical surgical skills that will have me back walking soon!

I broke my ankle in three places and was very pleased with the care I received from Dr. Kraus and his entire team.

The doctor and his staff was extremely caring. I had very detailed instructions and always received quick responses whenever I had a question.

I was very happy with how Dr. Kraus explained my situation and the options I had. He answered all of my questions and now I am doing great after just two weeks. I am getting better every day.

Dr. Kraus and his staff are very knowledgeable. They have been very patient with me and my many questions to help me make this important decision. I appreciated that they did not push me to have surgery but helped me to understand the differences in types of surgery available to me, the expected results of each of these, including realistic recovery time and what it would entail.

I had many visits here and two surgeries before deciding to leave his care all together. On multiple occasions, his nurse will claim she left a message for him to get back to me when she never did. Each appointment is extremely rushed after very long wait times, which was combated with a $5 coupon to their cafeteria. Very dismissive and did not listen to concerns, or take them seriously. Poor outcome from care provided. It was made clear that my health was not a priority.

I would definitely recommend Dr. Kraus. He and his staff were very professional throughout the process and I appreciated the time they spent with me explaining the procedure, answering my questions and providing follow-up check-ins and communication.

I went to Dr Kraus regarding a procedure using a new product called Cartiva which specifically states can improve mobility in my big toe. Before I even had a chance to speak to Dr Kraus he sends me for an x-ray and than tells me there is nothing that could be done to improve mobility in a big toe. I doubt he even knew what Cartiva was.

I was coming to visit Dr. Kraus from other state but it was worth it! I'm pleased with his manner, efficiency and knowledge. He was really friendly. As soon as my surgery was over he came out to the family waiting area to tell my boyfriend that I'm doing good. Hospital staff made me feel comfortable throughout. Will recommend Dr. Kraus to everyone!
