I could not be happier with my care team and especially Dr Wee who has helped me greatly and continues to do so.

Dr. Wee and his team performed a left upper lobectomy robotically. I was terrified to have this procedure, however my operation went smoothly and I am recovering well. Dr. Wee is professional and trustworthy.

I am extremely pleased with the level of professionalism and service provided by the office of Dr. Jon O. Wee in the Thoracic Surgery Clinic at Brigham & Women's Hospital. The entire procedure from the initial details of the wedge resection with Dr. Wee was described clearly beforehand. The scheduling and processing of each succeeding step by his personable and efficient staff to the successful completion of the surgery inspired confidence throughout the entire process.

Dr. Wee has been my doctor since 2016. I have had numerous procedures done by him at South Shore Hospital in Weymouth. He is a very knowledgeable and comforting and is prompt with his response to any questions I may have forgotten to ask at any of my appointments.

Every time I go to Brigham and Women's Hospital I have an excellent experience in how they handle my health care. Dr. Jon Wee is one of the best doctors I've ever had treat me. His whole staff and everyone at the BWH are always professional, knowledgeable and eager to assist in any way they can. If this is any testament to how much I like them, I live 15 minutes from the University of Vermont hospital but I drive 4 hours to BWH for my health care.

Dr. Wee, his colleagues and staff were absolutely amazing from beginning to end of my time working with them. Dr. Wee performed a very complex surgery during my fight with cancer. From the time we originally met with Dr. Wee to understand the surgery and its implications, he was not only exceptionally knowledgeable from a surgical perspective, he was also accessible, patient, and his team was extremely responsive throughout the entire process. By any measure, Dr. Wee and his team are true miracle workers who put the needs and concerns of their patients first and foremost in everything they do. Dr. Wee is an exceptionally outstanding caring doctor. We were very fortunate to have Dr. Wee recommended to us by one of the doctors at Dana Farber. He and his staff are very accommodating as we were coming to Boston from out of town. His staff worked us into his schedule and were extremely helpful. Some patients may be intimidated to travel to Boston for medical reasons but we found it very easy. The hotels have medical rates and shuttles to airport and hospitals. Our overall experience with Dr. Wee, his staff, the hospital staff and the hotel was excellent. We are very fortunate to have all their expertise available to us. Dr. Wee is amazing. My husband had a terrible time at the local hospital in Vermont. We came to see Dr Wee and had 3 fantastic experiences. My husband had no post op complications unlike his surgery in Vermont! I would highly recommend BWH, Dr. Wee and his entire thoracic team.

After being diagnosed with lung cancer in May and being extremely nervous, my best friend whom is also a melanoma survivor asked her doctor at Brigham and women's who I should go to and she immediately said I had to go to Dr. Wee. Coming from Jamestown R.I. I went right up to Brigham and women's with Dr. Wee and the best decision I have ever made. His bedside manor is very calming and amazing. He gives you the time to ask questions and explains things to a tee. He never makes you feel rushed or that you are taking up his time. Being a very nervous person I felt very comfortable through out the whole procedure. The Staff preparing me for the operation, the nurses afterwards were all amazing. I contacted Dr. Wee for treatment of a paraesophageal hiatal hernia. I felt it was worth it to travel from another state for treatment because of his expertise and experience. This certainly proved to be the case. Even during the Covid-19 pandemic, Dr. Wee and his staff did an amazing job, from virtual appointments to in-person appointments, surgery, hospitalization and right through follow-up. Less than two months post-surgery, I’m feeling fine, eating well and free of reflux. Because of Dr. Wee’s expertise in robotic surgery, my incisions are tiny. Recovery has been very easy. Dr. Wee is easy to talk to and answers all my questions. His staff is also very responsive and helpful. DR. WEE, is a wonderful doctor and surgeon. He has helped me immensely. I had hiatal hernia repair surgery with him (a re-do after having it done locally in New Bedford with a Dr. Tammy Gleason which only lasted six months). The surgery went great and was on my feet the next day. Then on November I had a bronchoscopy surgery with him that also went great. I have been diagnosed with stage 4 lung cancer and after seeing two local oncologist in my area who both told me that my cancer was slow growing and that we would just leave it alone and wait till treatment was needed. Well I was not happy with that prognosis. Dr. Wee said he could help by operating and taking out the larger nodules. So I went ahead and had the fist surgery. I'm scheduled to have the second probably around May of this yr. He pulled lymph nodes and said that they were negative for cancer which was also good news. He believes that after my second surgery I should not need. kemo only radiation . I was elated to her such hopeful news after dealing with two oncologist in my area who were choosing not to deal with the cancer at that point. One told me I had 5 yrs to live. I am so happy that I went to see him and I am very pleased with everything he has done for me. He is friendly, kind and very explanatory of my situation. I had received the cancer diagnosis in 2018 and walked around over a year with it until a friend suggested for me to see him. I do not regret it for one second he was a blessing in disguise. I was extremely satisfied with the service I received. The office staff was very professional and cordial and treated me with respect. Dr. Wee set me at ease during my first office visit including me in the decision making process. Surgery can be a very scary event but I felt comfortable that I was in good hands with Dr. Wee.

Dr. Wee performed my Nissen Fundoplication in July 2019. It greatly improved my life as my GERD had become unbearable. He was always so pleasant and very informative throughout the months leading up to my surgery and post surgery. I would recommend him and his team.

I am fortunate to have Dr. Wee as my Thoracic Surgeon. Not only is he a great doctor, he is a wonderful person. Dr. Wee is straightforward, and doesn't pull any punches. He lays out all your options, and gives you the pros and cons of your treatment. Dr. Wee and his staff have taken excellent care of me.

Unfortunately I have had multiple surgeries and procedures performed by Dr. Wee. Fortunately he is an excellent surgeon and I completely trust him. He has a great bedside manner, is very thoughtful and empathetic; all characteristics that you need in a surgeon. Dr. Wee is is also very thorough when answering questions. My only 'complaint' is that he isn't always available to speak with personally. His PA staff is excellent and responsive but I find that many of them aren't familiar with my case when I have to speak with one of them. I have been a patient of Dr. Wee since I was diagnosed with esophageal cancer in late 2012. From the start, Dr. Wee exuded confidence in not only his skills but also my outcome. Since the surgery, I have progressed on a track he predicted, and am now cancer free 5 years out. At every step in this journey, Dr. Wee accompanied me with a cheerful and positive manner.
