Very caring doctor doesn't hurry and his staff is just as nice ????

I don't write many reviews but when I do you can bet I mean every word of it. I have been going to Dr. Gurgen for several years now, and I must say I have never been more impressed with his office staff, and Dr. Gurgen himself. They are one of the few doctor offices that truly takes the time to sit and listen to your needs. Imagine that, not feeling like you are being rushed out the door so they can see more patients to make more money. Not here Dr. Gurgen truly only cares about me the patient not the $$ like so many other people. From the moment I walked into the office I was greeted with a smile and made to feel like "Norm of Cheers" (us older people will get the reference). There are no long waits like at other offices where if your appointment is at 1pm you are seen within a few minutes of that time. They value my time while at the same time taking all the time I need to tell them my needs. The office staff really is the cherry on top of the sundae, they truly care and it shows in how they interact with you. Dr. Gurgen's skill set is amazing, I had a minor surgical procedure and within minutes it was over and I was on my way. If you are a busy person, tired of NOT being heard, and feel like you are cattle and not a human then come see Dr. Gurgen and his lovely staff. Most of the staff was very professional and kind. Cannot comment on Dr. Gurgeon per se because I went in for an annual check-up and didn’t see him. However, I was disappointed in the young physicians assistant visit. He was very knowledgeable but there were a couple things of concern. I filled out the survey they sent after my visit (which I always appreciate!) and stated my concerns so they would be aware of my experience for their records. All in all, It was an okay, average visit with the PA.

The Doctors and staff are all wonderful. They treated me with professionalism and a kind friendly attitude. They helped me so much with the solution for my psoriasis and psoriatic arthritis. I recently moved to this area and needed to continue yearly skin exams. I’m so glad I found this place. Everyone was very pleasant and explained exactly what they were doing. John Kelly did a thorough exam and found I needed 2 biopsy’s. I needed Mohs surgery on my nose, but was caught early. Dr. Gurgen performed the surgery and did a wonderful job, got it all on the first round. His staff are very compassionate making sure I was comfortable physically and mentally. I highly recommend Dr. Gurgen and his staff at Leesburg Dermatology and Mohs Surgery.

Good overall experience been a patient for 4 yrs.

I have had only positive experiences with this practice, from the front desk to the last suture. I have been going here for 3 or 4 years now and Michael does an excellent and thorough skin exam; if he has any doubts, he takes the cautious approach and biopsies. I have had one pre-cancer frozen off, numerous other spots zapped, and now 4 basal cancers removed, all without any issues other than one on my shoulder developed some scar tissue, which they addressed without further charge to me. I completely trust the staff here and how they operate.

I had surgery on my leg & its getting better. I have been a patient of DrGurgrn for several years. I am lucky as I am a snowbird & Dr Gurgen is my FL dermatologist & I have a very good dermatologist in Annapolis, MD. Both doctors are excellent

Routine follow-on check after having several benign moles frozen. I was seen precisely at my scheduled time, the staff were welcoming and efficient. I received a comprehensive checkup, including areas I had questions about. The explanations I received were in terms I could easily understand. I was advised of changes, if observed, should be brought to the attention of the Doctor without waiting for a schedules appointment. Overall, I feel comfortable with this practice and would (and have) recommend them to friends

Great personality,very easy to talk to,answers questions in lay terms. Had Mohs surgery on face and very little scaring, no one notices unless I point it out.

I have had other basil cell removed before but never to the extent I needed this many stitches but it is better to have it all removed then to have problems later on - very professional both the doctor and his office staff

I do not know when I have had a better experience interacting with a medical team. I can sum up my experience with Dr Gurgen and Dr Kelly in two words: Competent & Caring. They have a very professional staff and a first rate facility. They are rendering a literally lifesaving service to the community at a very high level of expertise. Highly recommend this group.

I usually see Michael, the Nurse Practitioner (and Dr. Gurgen’s brother). He is wonderful : thorough, efficient and gentle. He is patient with all questions and answers them completely. The office is smoothly run, appointments are on time and I never feel rushed. There is absolutely nothing negative I have to say about this practice and I highly recommend them.

Dr Gurgen and his entire staff were wonderful. I had Mohs surgery on my face so I was a bit concerned. I am still healing but it went very well. I had absolutely no pain. They took the time to explain everything that was being done and assured me I would have no discomfort and minimal scaring. Wonderful doctor and I would highly recommend him to any one else needing this type of surgery.

I have been most pleased with my first experiences with Dr. Gurgen, his assistants and office staff, and PA John Kelly. I was very impressed with Dr. Gurgen, personally and professionally. Several weeks ago, PA Kelly gave me a thorough "once-over" and froze several growths. Two biopsies were performed, and I had Mohs Surgery this morning on one. Two "scrapes" took care of the issue on my nose. I highly recommend Dr. Gurgen to anyone looking for a Dermatologist.

Everyone in both offices are friendly and compassionate. They explain what they are going to do and why in easy to understand terms without "talking down" to us. My husband and I are very happy with all the services that we have received.

Michael Gurgen is a Board Certified Advanced Registered Nurse Practitioner (APRN) who has been personally trained in the field of Dermatology and Skin Care by Dr. Johnny Gurgen. Michael practices in the same philosophy and patient care approach as Dr. Gurgen provides to his patients. Michael is very compassionate and dedicated to provide the best care for his patients.

I have had several surgeries on my face performed by Dr. Gurgen. Everyone that knows me cannot believe that the scars are practically invisible. Dr. Gurgen also discovered a skin cancer another doctor fail to completely remove from several years ago. That old surgery had left a nasty scar on my cheek. Dr. Gurgen removed the cancer and fixed the scar. I lived with that ugly scar for years. It is virtually undetectable now. Excellent staff. Very caring and professional. I highly recommend

Ive been seeing Dr Gurgen for over 3 years now, every appt has been painless. Dr Gurgen made sure to take care of all my concerns and put me at ease with his knowledge and deep compassion. Dr Johnny Gurgen has been mine and my wife's dermatologist for about 4-5 years. Having some bad experiences with another local dermatologist we did some research and found Dr G. From our first appointment my wife and I felt comfortable with his professional and personal demeanor. He makes you feel like you have a "friend in the business" that's also among the best in his field. Everyone in Dr Gurgen's office, from reception to nurses, to PAs to Dr Gurgen himself, makes you feel like you are the most important patient they have!

I have been a patient at this practice for several years for follow up of both basal and squamous cell carcinoma with my prior Mohs surgeries at the Cleveland Clinic in Cleveland. I recently had a rapidly growing lesion on my forehead. I was able to be seen promptly and had Mohs surgery by Dr Gurgen. Having been a surgeon for 30 years, I found his surgical expertise outstanding with excellent results. He truly has a passion for what he does. Much better than prior experiences elsewhere.

You cannot see Dr. Gurgen and cannot even ask him a question. All contact was with a physicians assistant. I just wanted to ask why my pre-cancer could be treated with liquid nitrogen when in the past I have always had them cut out and they would not let me ask the doctor. I will never go back
