Dr john g. yuan genuinely cares about his patients. He always takes the time to explain things to me in terms that I can understand. He’s diligent in making sure my health is the best it can be.

Amazing Doctor and staff.

Dr Juan deserves 10 stars! His attentiveness and kind manner was truly one of a kind. He is a dedicated professional in his field and this is portrayed on the empathy that he demonstrates with his patients. Not only is his service A+, his technicians and vascular team at his office are the cream of the crop. Definitely recommend visiting this office!!

So fortunate to have found Dr. Yuan through my OBGYN. She and her family member all have been treated so I felt great trust in his care. My result has been great and I should not have waited this long to take care of my issue. He is very highly regarded in his specialty.

Unprofessional, irresponsible doctor who only know how to make money.

Dr. Yuan and staff are very knowledgeable! They took the time to educate me on what issues I was having with my legs and answered any questions especially before any procedure. I have had less swelling and my legs don't feel as heavy since my treatments. I am able to exercise more often!

I am late on this review but Dr Yuan is hands down the best surgeon in Long Island, maybe even New York! He took care of my moms veins years ago and has been taking care of my veins now! Dr yuan takes his time and answers any questions, or concerns you might have to assure you the best care will be given and the correct treatment plan. An A1 experience! Dr yuan is a miracle worker! My mom was referred for swelling of her right leg. The office work to schedule an appointment that was convenient for us. They even had a next day availability! We were taken in on time. She had an ultrasound done which was wonderful because we didn’t have to go elsewhere and wait days for the results! We’ve been coming to dr yuan now a few months and my mom feels 100% better. Her legs haven’t been swelling and the heaviness has gone. Overall the doctor and staff are absolutely wonderful with a caring attitude very pleasant . The times we have been there was a wonderful experience. Dr John Yuan is great, very knowledgeable and attentive.

I highly suggest that new patients find a different provider. I am so uncomfortable with the office’s procedures that I will be canceling my appointment before I’m even able to meet the doctor. I was contacted by Ellen twice regarding my “very high insurance deductible,” information she repeated several times during each call while barely giving me an opportunity to ask questions. Once I spoke with my insurance carrier and my HR department and discovered the services would be covered, I then got a phone call from another staff member asking me if I knew the balance of my deductible. When I explained that I had an HSA account to handle bills, she proceeded to tell me the balance of my deductible. She was silent when I asked her, “Why are you asking me for the balance if you already know it?” But she was quick to follow up with letting me know that “patients with high deductibles are required to keep a credit card on file.” No one had ever mentioned this information to me before, and it leads me to believe this practice will just charge the card if they don’t want to wait for my insurance to reimburse me. I understand that insurance can be tricky and that people aren’t always the best about paying their bills, but it’s an entirely different story to make a prospective patient this uneasy. I don’t even know what kinds of charges to expect, as I have never seen this type of doctor before. I will be going elsewhere. I highly suggest that new patients find a different provider. This is an updated review to address the letter we were sent by Dr. Yuan's office. First of all, my husband, whom the letter is addressed, did not write this review. I am the insured and have been dealing directly with Ellen in the office and thought we had come to an understanding. However, I am now sufficiently aggravated after having come home to this mailing (specifically sent to address this google review), thereby prompting me to explain further. In response specifically to "in addition to the consultation fee, two ultrasounds studies [sic] were performed; an arterial study and a venous study, both were medically necessary to adequately assess your circulation due to ..." If these were medically necessary, they should have been billed as such and not separate diagnostic procedures with separate billing codes. Had they been billed appropriately, they would not have been applied to the deductible, which only comes into play when testing is performed at a separate diagnostic facility. They would have been fully covered as part of the visit to the specialist. Regardless, the fact that diagnostic testing was being performed, which would be billed differently, was not properly explained at the visit, thereby eliminating our ability to make an educated decision as to how we would have liked to proceed. Any other doctor's office that we have ever gone to (and there have been dozens for this same issue as well as for spinal surgery) has NEVER billed a test they performed necessary for diagnosis separately ... his podiatrist does an X-ray each time he visits and never once has it hit our deductible as a separate diagnostic test; even an MRI in one recent instance was not applied to our deductible! So although you may feel this review is "grossly inaccurate", that is unfortunately a matter of opinion; an opinion of two people who have been to enough doctors to know that you are incorrect. We know our insurance and we know our deductible, but we were not properly informed at the time of the visit and that is where your office failed to meet your ethical and professional obligation, before performing a procedure. Again, from other reviews, we are clearly not the only ones that feel this way. Original Review: Was recommended by podiatrist for issues with circulation. Paid my copay and he used what looked like a ultrasound that was in his office. A few weeks later, I get a bill for almost $900. No one explained the expense beforehand or that this “scan” he did was a separate diagnostic procedure. Do they think people just have an extra $900 lying around? Very unprofessional. I am so happy I found Dr. Yuan. After years of vascular problems, I finally found the right doctor to take care my health issues. I am also someone who needs to know all aspects concerning my care. In this regard, Dr. Yuan is most patient and took the time to explain in the many details of my treatments. Great doctor that explains things thoroughly. He makes you very comfortable during vein stripping. I was up and about comfortably the next day. (Vein stripping took place right after total knee replacement).

I am so disgusted with the service I recieved from this office. The 2 ladies that work behind the desk are incredibly rude and disrespectful! After waiting for more then 1 hour and 15 min after my apt time, I simply asked if they knew how much longer until I’m seen. They snapped at me and said “ I DONT KNOW” and “CALM DOWN”. I have never dealt with such unprofessional and nasty people at any establishment never mind a dr office! I can’t describe how disgusted I am by these 2 ladies actions !

Please be sure to discuss the expense of any treatment with this office. I was charged an outrageous fee for a procedure they convinced me I needed. They did not discuss upfront how expensive it would be. I have seen no positive effect after the procedure, spent a ton of money, and the problem I came to the office with was not even addressed. Having seen and treated by various other physicians for my vein problems, I was very knowledgeable about all the latest treatments. No other physician was able to provide me with such great success. Now my legs look and feel great! I am very thankful to Dr Yuan. His entire staff was also very courteous and always able to provide me with timely appointments. I really appreciated Dr. Yuan's treatment who came strongly recommended by my colleagues. He took care of my vein problems, unlike other previous vascular surgeons I had experience with, and also diagnosed my wife's chronic condition. I found him caring and knowledgable.

I can say I thoroughly enjoyed my visit with Dr. Yuan. I had treatments with two other vascular surgeons concerning my venus condition, but after a few treatments with Dr. Yuan, now my condition is completely improved. Also enjoyed the incredibly welcoming staff (WONDERFUL!) and clean office.

I went with my father to see Dr. Yuan. Dr. Yuan was kind, intelligent and just phenomenal overall. Also, might I add that he is quite knowledgeable about baseball? My father loves him. His office is clean and his staff is welcoming. I cannot find any complaints with him. We are planning to see him for another visit in a few months and we are looking forward to it! Best Doc in the Long Island area!

I thoroughly enjoyed my appointment with Dr. Yuan. He is kind,thorough and nothing short of excellent. I've been to many other doctors around the area for vein treatment but Dr. Yuan is the best by far. He treated my persistent problems wih lasers and injections- my legs looks better,healtheir than ever. It has been a month after the procedure with virtually no pain and my veins are gone. If you are reading this Doc- thank you so much! I am extremely grateful for what you have done for me!

In addition to being incredibly kind and understanding, Dr. Yuan is extremely knowledgeable about veins. I have already recommended him to my family and friends as I am extremely grateful and pleased for the care that he has provided me. I only have been to one vascular surgeon in Long Island and I am convinced that he is the best one. Dr. Yuan is no. 1 in my book!
