I had an upper eyelid lift and mini face lift, it was wonderful and dr and staff were extremely caring. It's been a few years and I will be coming for a touch up.

I had cancer removal in my left breast that required a breast reduction at the same time 3 months ago. The next day after the surgery I knew something was wrong as I changed bandage I noticed my right breast that didn’t have cancer removal done had a very odd shape to the nipple, it was smaller than the other one, not even round in shape and there was a big bulge to the right side of the nipple that looks like extra fat was left in and not stitched right. When I went for my follow up he noticed it and said he will fix it and make it right. He kept telling me this on every follow up visit and told me it will be done after I was done with radiation but the radiation was not done on that breast. I went back today happy thinking ok today is the day he will fix it because he said it can be done in the office but today I came home crying and upset because he told me he has to get it cleared with my insurance and I can’t pay another $4500 copay for him to fix this mess he made of my breast

My journey with Dr. Thomassen started four years ago when I went to him for a consultation for a breast reconstruction after a bilateral mastectomy. 4 months post rhinoplasty and I can promise you this is the best plastic surgeon I have ever seen. If you are thinking of going to another surgeon to get a nose job, don't. Just call the office, and book a consultation to get your dream nose. Dr. Thomassen, thank you for being kind to me from the very first consultation and throughout post-op. I had a rhinoplasty on December 9, 2020 to fixed some minor scars, and to narrow my nose. After the procedure I woke up hours later in a recovery room all taped, and bandage. Dr Thomassen came in the room and "said I put two pieces of silicone in the tip of your nose". I didn't give consent to this unskilled doctor to put silicone in my nose. He reconstructed my entire nose, flattened my bridge completely with no height, bulky tip, wide nostrils. I'm devastated with the results, this surgery has ruin my life. I had lipo 360 and implant exchange. Dr. Thomassen and his team are the most patient, knowledgeable and caring group of people. They took their time to answer every single one of my questions (there were a lot) and I never felt rushed or pressured. The doctor has a gentle demeanor that immediately puts you at ease. I never once felt like he was trying to sell me or give me false hope. Choosing him to perform my surgery was the best decision! The surgery and recovery went even better than what was promised. The doctor personally called to check on me the first couple of days and I had his personal cell phone number to call for any post-surgery issues or concerns. My results blew me away right from the beginning and they have only gotten better with time. My breasts are PERFECT. When we met before surgery I told him to do whatever he needed to do for the best results and I am so glad I did. If he went into this with any restrictions on size it would have changed my results completely. He knew what I wanted and made the right call to get me there. I don’t know if this is normal for implant exchanges but they weren’t even a little sore. The breast portion of my recovery was painless. The lipo recovery wasn’t too bad and my pain was managed with Tylenol. Surgery was on a Friday and I was back working (from home) that Monday. My results just get better and better as the weeks go by. I trusted the process and listened to the doctor and it has paid off in a big way. It’s been six years since my lower face lift and I cannot even recall if I left a review. I hope I did! I looked outstanding post procedure!!! I loved having the definition of my lower jawline restored and I looked much younger than my true age. Currently 57. Anyhow... my lower facelift was amazing! However, nothing lasts forever and I may need some more surgery in the future... and I will return to Dr Thomassen for more surgery as needed. BTW... I had a breast reduction with Dr.Thomassen and after interviewing several surgeons upon meeting Dr.Thomassen for the first time I knew he would be the right one for me. He made me feel comfortable, he was honest and gave me realistic expectations. This was my first serious surgery so of course I was nervous however not only him but his whole team reassured me that everything was going to be okay. I'm one month and one week post op and I couldn't be happier. This was something that has bothered me ever since I started developing, I never felt comfortable with how big my chest was and I'm so happy that now I can finally start doing things without feeling embarrassed. I have been seeing Dr. Thomassen for the past few years. I had been receiving treatment for breast cancer and needed reconstruction work done. Not only is Dr. Thomassen an amazing surgeon but his compassion and care are unmatched. Truly a beautiful soul. He and his staff worked with me seamlessly through a very long and draining process. Out of all my physicians during my process, He was the most calming and professional. His staff is fabulous and knows me on a first name basis when I call. They were always ready and available to answer my questions and help when needed. I had a mini face and neck lift and upper bleph- and I’m healing beautifully 2 week’s post op. I cannot say enough positive things about my experience with Dr. Thomassen and his staff. I was so nervous about this procedure -and Dr Thomassen is so patient and kind and answers all questions. Never made me feel rushed once. I’ve been to other plastic surgeons over the years and the way he cares for his patients stands out very much. He cares and it shows.. Michelle the surgical coordinator - so sweet and patient as well - answered all my extra questions I’d call her with promptly. The receptionist there also was always smiling and sweet. Constance the head nurse - was nothing short of amazing. She has the world’s most soothing voice and way about her. She made my -day of surgery nerves - so much better! Willie the assisting nurse- was so cheerful and helpful and just a plaeasure- also calmed my nerves and was so nice to talk to! Dr. Maultsby - the anesthesiologist - deserves an award for absolute genius with personalizing precisely the appropriate anesthesia for someone’s needs. I’ve been under general anesthesia and had “Mac” or twilight sleep - type anesthesia -many times in my life - and have NEVER - had a better experience! No exaggeration- I was completely at rest and relaxed yet not unconscious. immediately after the procedure I was aware and awake and feeling perfect! No drug hangover at all! I had a mini facelift and a neck lift one week ago and could not be happier or more thrilled with the results! I look about 10 years younger. Dr. Thomassen is by far the best plastic surgeon I have ever seen and he is also a very warm, kind and reassuring physician who takes his time and answers all of your questions. His team (Michelle, Constance and the nurse anesthetist, Maria) are also amazing. I give my highest recommendation to Dr. Thomassen!! He is the best!

I paid $650.00 for filler for my lips, my lips were not very thin to start with but wanted plumper lips and treated myself to this. I was informed it could last up to 8 months, i would have been happy with 6 but sadly i got 4 week, yes only 4 weeks my lips were full. i went back to show Dr and in the examining room he agreed it did not look any different from prior to getting them done. So his resolution was for me to spend more money and have another cc injected. my lips were fine when first done but it lasted only 4 weeks, why would i spend another 650.00 to do it again "for what another 4 weeks". He then tried to bargain with me and offer it to me for 450.00 . when i asked why would i pay for something i already paid for he changed his tune and began to say "what great results i already had". I felt like he was being very dishonest. i was upset more so because i was already a patient who had another procedure done there and didn't expect this level of dishonesty. First he said " we used restylne but for another 450.00 ill give you juvederm" well my thought was why didn't you offer that prior. So i got results i wanted but only for 4 weeks. wasted money but more so misplaced trust and very unhappy patient. Dr. Thomassen was the only Doctor that took his time to answer my questions, explain the procedure and give me honest feedback without selling me procedures that I did not need or were interested in. I recently had a lipoma removed from my scalp about 3cm by 3cm. I had the lipoma for about 9 years, finally I was able to remove it. I chose Dr. John because of the reviews I read on real self. I called to schedule a appointment and made sure I was not going to pay for a consultion, reason being the last Doctor I went to for a consultation only took 5 mins and was trying to charge me 200. I was like if I known that I wouldn't have come I'm not a talkative person I just want to know the price n that's it. I don't like to waste my time or anyone else's. When I met Dr. John he was the sweetest and most soft spoken person I ever met. He is just so soothing to the soul when he's speaking, no over exaggerating. I'm coming up on the two-year anniversary of my upper and lower blepharoplasty and I couldn't be happier. This has been of the best decisions I've made when it comes to doing something for myself. Dr. Thomassen is extremely caring and worked hard to make sure I was completely satisfied. I thought his staff was wonderful and enjoyed speaking with them. They never made me feel like I was bothering them when I called to ask questions or express a concern. Great office and a GREAT doctor!

Amazing surgeon! I have visited many doctors and as an RN I know what to look for. Very precise in his work, does not make any promises he can't deliver. You might have to wait a little longer for an appointment because he is running late with his surgery, but rest assured he will take the same long time with you when it's your turn. He strives for perfection!!!!!
