Dr . Summitt has been treating me over 2 years for a burn incident. It didn’t take place in Nashville but Memphis , TN. He is the MOST competent Plastic Surgeon in the United States. I would trust my life with this man. I just cannot say enough good about him. He is so kind, caring and compassionate. You will never go wrong with this Plastic Surgeon. He is brilliant in his field. Best Plastic Surgeon in Tennessee !! The BEST. Great Bedside Manner !! Truly cares about his patient !! Competent, caring. You cannot find anyone better !!

I had breast reduction surgery June 23 and i was very comfortable. Not only did he answer all my questions but the entire staff was so helpful. This was my first surgery and I’m living my results. I went from a DDD to a C and I’m so happy

I’ve had nothing but problems with this plastic surgeon since going in for a 15 minute consultation in May. The doctor is not very friendly and seems a bit old school and outdated in his views on the plastic surgery industry. I was never once informed about a consultation fee but they are now contacting me to collect $300 for a dr visit. Seems a bit deceitful if you ask me. Luckily I found a much more progressive plastic surgeon in Murfreesboro that I’ve decided to moved forward with. Definitely consider all of your options before walking foot in this clinic. Dr. Summitt is amazing. He’s friendly and patient with a great bedside manner. Highly skilled and intelligent. He helped fix my skin grafts and burn scars and was super patient with me when I was nervous and had questions. Everyone at Vanderbilt was great and helpful and his office in Franklin is amazing also. Dr. Summit, if you read this I’m eternally grateful. Thank you!!! Dr. Summitt is amazing. I saw Dr Summit for a long surgical scar in the front to side of my neck. I want to clarify I am basing this review on his attitude and delivery style of information and not the information itself since it was not hopeful. My flaw is an unsightly impossible to hide scar that prohibits me from being me in a job that expects 101 % of my professional look and appearance. When I asked about different types of procedures and if they could help my neck scar Dr Dummit told me ‘it would be an unnecessary procedure/surgery because he could not see the scar’. Now he never got closer than 3-5 feet away and never examined the scar or even felt it. He finally admitted he could see it but it looked like a big asymmetrical wrinkle, which is exactly why I made the appointment to begin with. CLEARLY he only wants to do grotesque mutilations. To start with Plastic Surgery is not really necessary in the medical field, it can just make people’s lives a whole lot better!

I was overall pleased with the Doctors professionalism and skill. what I am bothered by is that although I remain in pain he refuses to refill a prescription based on his opinion that even though the wounds are still open and I still bleed that I am not in pain. When I sit even with a donut for more than 20 minutes my testicles swell and feel as though they are exploding. My neighbors teenage son was here doing some work and stole over half the prescription leaving me very few. A telephone diagnosis by his nurse used as liason seems a bit lame and has confined me to my house in a bedded position trying to remain as motionless as possible to avoid pain. At least with the prescription I was semi mobile and able to have my wife drive me around town or out to eat. His decision has left me totally immobilized. I am 63 years old and feel as though I'm being treated like a 25 year old Crack-head.
