Exercise is such an important part of my life and I was in so much pain I was in bed constantly. I am doing so much better now Thank you so much!

Dr. Stevenson is great ! Very personable but also professional and compassionate. He listened to my questions and concerns, and gave me answers that I could understand and gave me confidence in his skills to treat my problem successfully.

I was in a very serious medical situation and was referred to Dr Stevenson and his nurse practitioner, I am so thankful to God that I met Dr Stevenson and Lindsey, especially since other doctors declined my care. He explained to me that surgery should be done and they would help me. I cried and was thankful at the same time. I am post surgery and the excruciating time I had in my lower back is gone. All I can say is I have a couple of doctors at the Orthopaedic Institute and they are professional and knowledgeable. Thank you

I had a cervical fusion on October 6 , 2022. He was best at this surgery. No compilations from surgery. Healing well with follow up appointments. Getting MRI January 18 then see him again on January 31 for follow up on it. I am very pleased with him. I would highly recommend this surgeon. Come see him then decide for your self.

I think Dr Stevenson did a wonderful job on my surgery. He was pleasant, personable and knowledgeable. The staff were friendly and helpful. I would recommend him to anyone looking for a good surgeon.

I have used the Orthopedic Institute several times, Dr. Stevenson operated on a few years ago, thanks to him I can walk again. I now have another issue that will require his expertise, there is no one else I would trust with this issue. I am hopeful that I will not require surgery again, but if so he is the man to handle it. Surgery was 1000% success. He operated on my son and my friend with similar results.

My visits have been very good, his staff is excellent. He is thorough and careful, does not immediately jump to surgery, try other options first.

Dr. Stevenson just completed a second spine surgery on me in a couple of years. The surgeries were unrelated. The procedure went perfectly, as did everything from the beginning and I’m doing very well.

I found DR Stevenson to be very supportive of my needs. He explained the surgery I needed clearly. And the surgery has been an amazing success. Due to his excellent reputation, I was as relaxed as I possibly could have been going into the surgery. I am healing very quickly, and feel like I am getting my life back! I am grateful for his help.

After completeing 11 weeks of PT and then several epidural injections I knew that the only option to alleviate the extreme sciatic pain in my left leg was to surgery performed to relieve the root nerve compression resulting from a herniated disc. Based on reputation, I contacted Dr. Stevenson. He clearly described the procedure to me and discussed the expected post-surgery outcome and recovery. I highly reccomend him and his staff.

Five years ago I was in an accident that broke my left leg and injured my right sacroiliac joint, or, “SI” joint. The joint became grossly arthritic. I could not stand long enough to prepare a meal or shop for my own groceries, or go swiming with my grandkids. I knew if I didn’t get help I’d end up living in a nursing home. Dr. Stevenson performed a minimally invasive procedure to fuse the joint, and EIGHT DAYS LATER, I HAD NO PAIN. He alone found the source and fixed it. I call him my Magic Man. I’ve been an R.N. For 47 years, and I have never seen a more rapid recovery than I myself experienced. The facility was very clean and fresh smelling. All staff members were friendly, knowledgeable and professional in appearance. Dr. Stevenson was very understanding and listened to my history of both my pain and what had been done to date to help. After that, Dr. Stevenson informed me of what he felt he could do for my lower back pain, in such a way that I could understand his thinking and proposed procedure to try. I was very impressed by Dr. Stevenson's knowledge of the lower back and ways to relieve pain in that region. I feel most confident that Dr. Stevenson and his staff, will be able to provide pain relief for me.

I'm so blessed to have Dr Stevenson as my neurosurgeon! He us compassionate, he listens, he really cares about his patients, and his surgical expertise is second to none.

I have been a patient of Dr. Stevenson for approximately 4yrs. His expertise before and after surgery is excellent. He is also excellent during the journey to identify and correct the problem.

Has performed major surgeries on both my wife and I and multiple procedures on both of us over several years and provided absolutely nothing but the best of care

Dr. Stevenson is an amazing caring and compassionate neuo surgeon. He is thoughtful and explains your care in a manner which is easy to understand and helps put together a treatment plan which is not only workable, but helpful for years to come. He has been part of my treatment team for over 25 years.

I hurt my back when I was 25 yrs old he saved my life I was thought to be a drug addict because other doctor's could not t find anything wrong Dr Stevenson was walking bye my room they ask him to give his opinion in five mins he admitted me and he found s1 l4 l5 needed attention he found out that I had no insurance and decided to do it pro Bono or I would have never been able to get it fixed he did it and saved my life thank you Dr Stevenson I'm 40 now and have never had a problem since

I have been dealing with spine issues all my life. But in 2012 it really got bad. Dr Stevenson was awesome! Treatment and bedside manner makes you trust him. I had to have left SI joint fusion. And it is a big deal. If the dr does not align you right you will walk with a limp.....uneven. My surgery was a success. I have no more pain in the left SI nor do I walk with a limp. Dr Stephenson operated on my back a few days ago. everything he said and did before the operation was in real terms. not all medical jargon. he was clear about what to expect after the surgery was done. it is only a few days but i can tell that the diagnosis was the correct one since i am feeling better already. his staff and crew he works with were very easy to work with. if i had to have this procedure done every year i would come back to his office to have it done. i am very satisfied that i made the right decision on which doctor to get linked up with.

Dr Stevenson has done my back, my neck and my husband's neck. All of which turned out wonderful. He is a great surgeon, his assistant Vance is good too along with Missy and rest of staff. I recommend Dr Stevenson highly!

I chose Dr. Stevenson from his good reviews on healthgrades.com. He was very thorough with his diagnosis and explanation of my options. I elected for surgery. It was a successful procedure. His PA Vance Amos updated us every morning and Dr. Stevenson checked on me in the evenings. I was in the hospital 4 days. It's now been 10 days and I am pain free and should be back to work in a week or so. I highly recommend Dr. Stevenson and Vance. Thanks to NFRMC also. James in White Springs

Was recommended from pain clinic for a cervical spinal cord stimulator. Amazing how much it has helped. I had no problems with Dr Stevenson or any of his staff. All professional. Excellent care and office staff. Worst part was food at hospital. Care at hospital was excellent.

went today July 26 to see Dr Stevenson with my wife Barbara, outstanding personable doctor. The wait time best I experience in years. It is actually nice to see a doctor that actually he himself explains to the patient what is wrong and how to take care of the problem in a way that it makes the patient feel comfortable. most doctors now days do not even see he patient , they actually have PA do it and still we have to pay the fee that a real doctor charges. i

Dr Stevenson is an amazingly gifted surgeon. With a bed side manor to match. Very professional. Very thorough. Wonderful with making sure you have all the information you need. Walks with you every step of the process. Treats you like you are his own family

I love Dr Stevenson. He is very professional as well as his PA Vance. Visited everyday while I was in the hospital and was very courteous. I would highly recommend him. I valued his opinion as well as what would be in my best interest for my health. Thank you for helping me!

He is a fantastic surgeon and unlike most physicians he really listens

Despite a six week wait to see this practitioner, it was clear that he had not taken the time to sufficiently (at all?) review my case history, nor had he invested time in actually looking at my recent MRI results. Instead, he simply reviewed the radiologist report and based his comments on it alone. It was clear that my failure to act crippled enough gave him the impression that my issues were not worthy of his full attention. Nice enough guy, but complete waste of time professionally.
