Never in office and can’t ever seem to get refills because he’s there so limited. It’s frustrating

Dr. Slopis took his time (2 1/2 hrs) explaining my scans and providing options in a compassionate, and clear manner. I am so blessed to have one of the top researchers in my condition of Neurofibromatosis, manage my care.

Dr. Slopis are very knowledgeable and professional. He explains in detail about the cause, the diagnosis, the development, the treatment and the future influence of the disease, make patients clear about what to do for the next. Dr. Slopis's PA Lauren is also very professional. She checked everything in detail and tried her best to help patients with their need. If I could give him a million stars, I would. I’ve been seeing him for 25+ years and he is AMAZING. He takes so much time with each patient to really listen, answer questions (even random ones because you’re just curious), go over scans in detail, and do a physical to see if NF has impacted everyday life activities. Saw him for around 5 years. He's the best doctor I've had the pleasure to acquaint myself with. He took time to explain my disorder and help me understand, unlike many other Doctors that are sometimes too much, "to the point", you feel a real connection while talking to this man. I was about 16 when I first started going to M.D. Anderson, about a few times a week off and on. Basically, I was scared and depressed with my sudden pain issues developing in the middle of highschool. I was very off put with everyone, including my family. I saw a Primary doctor before him at this age but pulled him in as a specialist in the field and later moved to him as my primary. He went to the length of explaining how nerves work, how it was first discovered, anything that helped me, specifically me, understand and give me comfort of not dwelling in the unknown. If you or a loved one is lucky enough to be referred to this doctor, consider yourself in the best hands available. Saw him for around 5 years. Dr. John Slopis is genuine specialist and kindest person. Me and my family are blessed to meet him. Dr. Slopis always take his time and listens our attentively, explaining and professionally approaching to our concerns.

Dr Slopis is amazing! He truly takes his time and is a genuine doctor. He sincerely cares about the outcomes and wellbeing of his patients. If there is ever a question of Neurofibromatosis, he is your guy!

Dr. Slopes is one of the best doctors I've every been to.... I have NF1 and my 5 year old grandson also has NF1.. Dr. Slopes has been a God send to me and my family... outstanding...

Dr. Slopis is like family to all his patients. He sees the most Neurofibromatosis patients worldwide. He not only has knowledge of but "defines" the cutting-edge of NF research. He goes above and beyond his practice by sitting on volunteer medical boards, attending fundraisers and multiple support group activities. Our family can't sing his praises enough nor be any thankful he's my daughter's physician!
