Dr. John Richard Skoner

I had a root canal performed by Dr. Skoner in February 2023. The procedure went smoothly and it was painless. Dr. Skoner and his staff are thorough, kind, and patient. I have had numerous procedures done by other providers, and this place was the best!

Dr Skoner is very professional and proficient. He went deeper into my case and re planned my care and intervention appropriately. I trust him and his expertise. His staff is very kind and helpful. I would highly recommend this endodontic practice

Dr. Skoner was a wonderful Endodontist. My experience at his office was very good. I have had numerous procedures done and he by far was the best. I did not feel any pain during my entire procedure. He was very reassuring and helped me stay calm. I would highly recommend him for a root canal or another procedure.

This guy discriminated against a female friend. Asking her could she afford a root canal and not wanting to perform. She is an African American. So you do the math.

Upon recommendation by my dentist, I visited this office for a root canal procedure. Although the front staff was welcoming, I experienced great distress due to Dr. Skoner's conduct during the visit. Dr. Skoner initially raised concerns regarding my insurance coverage and my ability to pay the co-pay, which added to my pre-existing anxiety towards dental procedures. Despite my assurance that I had come prepared to pay the co-pay, Dr. Skoner appeared uncertain about which tooth required treatment even with paperwork shown to him to confirm and consulted with his staff before proceeding. He repeatedly questioned whether I was sure I wanted the procedure, without fully understanding the issue at hand. It was evident that he was hesitant to perform the procedure and displayed a lack of enthusiasm. Subsequently, I informed him that he seemed unwilling to conduct the procedure on me for reasons unknown, to which he simply acquiesced and left the room. This experience was uncomfortable, distressing, and left me feeling discriminated against.

Dr. Skoner asked my spouse is she sure she can afford the co-pay to get a root canal twice. Came in and saw she was black and discriminated against her. Then he asked if she is sure she wanted him to do this and was portraying as though he wasn’t sure it was the right tooth even after we forwarded the paperwork from the doctor who recommended him. Awful experience. My spouse came home crying. She did not get taken care of even though the doctor knows her tooth can get effected which may cause other ailments . She waited a month to get this appointment, woke up at 6am to pray and prepare mentally because she was anxious about it.

I wish I could give 0 starts but that wasn’t an option. A friend of mine went to this recommended dentist to get a root canal that she was already nervous about. Dr.Skopje walked in, looked at her shoes, and automatically assumed she couldn’t afford the co pay that she already knew about in advance. No doctor should ever prejudge their patients. I thought they took an oath to help people but I guess his oath only included people wearing loafers. Don’t ever make an appointment here.

Based off recommendations, it was assumed this would be the place to receive excellent care, however, this was not the case. Dr. Skoner did the complete opposite… instead of caring for his patient, he profiled her. Due to her skin tone there were several questions & references as to if she could afford his care. In simpler words, he saw a black woman & assumed she couldn’t pay. Instead of performing his daily duties, he continued to insult her & make her feel less than. This resulted in an abrupt walk out — with his patient receiving zero care & a doctor who saw no wrong doing in his vile & prejudice beliefs. 0 out of 10, do not recommend.

I had a root canal done with Dr. Skoner. The staff and the Dr. were wonderful. I couldn't of asked for better service. From start to finish I couldn't of been treated better. Thank you. Would highly recommend using his office.

I must say that I was very impressed with the quality and how PAINLESS my root canal was! Definitely going back if I ever need another one ????%%%

I had a root canal and restoration performed by Dr. Skoner on Dec. 23rd. I could not have hoped for a better outcome. The procedure was totally painless and the restoration results excellent. Dr. Skoner and his staff are very courteous and professional. Patient care is their number one priority.

Had two root canals and the doctor built one of my teeth back. Just perfect. Had no pain. Absolutely outstanding work. Very professional. And his right hand office manager, she is amazing!

Excellent experience. Everyone was great. Will definitely use Dr. Skoner again!

I recently had another root canal done by Dr. Skoner. Another great experience he is a great doctor and he has a wonder office staff.

We, as a professional general dentist office, refer to Dr. Skoner on a regular basis-atleast 3-4 times a week. We love dealing with his office! His staff is very nice and professional and are willing to go out of their way to help every patient that is referred there. On a number of occasions, Dr. Skoner accomodated our patients after hours in order to suit our patients work schedule. And the feedback we get from our patients that we refer to Dr Skoner is always great!!

Extremely rude and condescending office staff/receptionist! Will never take my business there.

I had my first root canal. I was unsure of what to expect and a bit apprehensive. Dr. Skoner was fabulous!!
