Dr. John W Pruitt

Had a infected tooth pulled out 12/29/22 It was a referral from my dentist they got me in the same day miraculously... his whole staff was Supernice and answered every question I had. I couldn't recommend him enough!!!

I seen a TMJ dentist and he did x-rays and said I had jaw trauma. So I looked up in network on Anthem for oral and maxillofacial surgeons and it listed John W. Pruitt and colleagues. There business is INDIANA ORAL & MAXILLOFACIAL SURGERY ASSOCIATES and there website states jaw surgery. I get my x-rays and diagnosis from the Dentist and have my doctor refer me. They never called me so I called the greenwood office and they said only Southport only does jaw surgeries. I called and the person on the phone tells me that my insurance would not cover anything and I would have to pay it all out of pocket. Funny thing was I never told her my insurance until after she said this. She then tells me rumor is John Pruitt is going to not do jaw surgeries anymore. This business does not want business. Doctor was very nice and friendly, the staff that’s at the front desk not so much

Having been terrifed of going to the dentist, my fear has been overcome with Dr. Pruitt. I had 6 teeth extracted with sedation and have had ZERO pain or problems since surgery! It has been a life changing experience <3 Thank you Dr. Pruitt, and staff!

The only reason I am selecting 5 stars, is that 10 stars is not available. The staff are very kind and friendly and Dr. Pruitt is very thorough and knowledgeable. I had a consultation on Thursday and was scheduled for surgery Friday morning! I had 3 wisdom teeth and 1 broken tooth extracted in a matter of 45 minutes or so, which felt like 5 minutes as I opted for sedation. Dr. Pruitt is a great oral surgeon and a caring man to say the least. I've had my teeth removed and am getting dentures soon and have a follow up on April 5th although I won't be back. Dr Pruitt is very professional and I thank him very much!,but I won't be back do to his one of his dental student's saying something rude about me before I even walked out the door. wasn't to smart of her because I overheard it and didn't appreciate it. Thank you Dr Pruitt but to the young lady who made the rude comment about me you may want to think twice about saying something rude about someone you don't know let alone a patient bringing businesses.
