Listens well. Takes time to discuss things with you and asks lots of questions to get a feel for your situation and needs. Keeps up with medications needed. Makes himself available in an emergency. Everyone I know who has gone to him absolutely loves him!

I have been seeing Dr. Michaels for 2-3 years. He is a good listener and understands emotional problems. He has been very professional in all areas. He reviews my Medicene and asks questions to make sure I am on the right path to a healthy and happy me! I would recommend Dr MICHAELS

My session with Dr.Michaels was thought- provoking, revealing and at ease . He allows you to search out your strengths and weaknesses...then Dr..Michaels leads you to a wiser you... You'll leave far better than you entered..

Dr. Michaels is the best. He has been my psychiatrist for about 20 years and I wouldn't have it any other way.

This doctor has no compassion for those suffering with CRPS/RSD. When my sister went to see him he made light of her outbursts,which had started in May, her stuttering, which began in Dec and palilalia,which also began in May. The extreme pain from CRPS caused memory loss and other brain problems. She has several doctors which have been treating the CRPS and a psychiatrist who addressed the neurological problems. However this doctor being hired by the State called her Factitious. Utterly absurd!

Saw Dr. Michael's for 3 years... thought I was being treated for what I needed to be treated for- Bi-Polar... I went to the psychiatric hospital in Valdosta called Greenleaf and when I talked to the psychiatrist there I found out I was being given schizophrenia medication the entire time... he even pulled up the description of the medication on his phone to show me it doesn't even have a secondary affect as a mood stabilizer... You can ask any of my friends and family and they'll all tell you the same thing: I'm not schizophrenic.. I have a friend I've known for around 20 years who is schizophrenic and knows the signs and he was VERY surprised when I told him I had been given schizophrenia medication this entire time.... 3 years and I'm being treated for the wrong thing!! I thought it was working because my sporadic mood swings had settled down from multiple times a week to once or twice monthly, but I had also been given by my family doctor sleep medication which turns out can be used as a mood stabilizer. Not seeing Dr. Michaels anymore due to what I see as malpractice. I would have just put it down to misdiagnosis... But even Dr. Michaels said it sounded to him that I was extremely bipolar when I first saw him (I made sure to bring someone with me to the first visit because even though I could explain the feelings I had the person I brought could describe my behavior better than I could as seeing it from a different perspective than I would have because even though I knew there was something that wasn't right I've never been able to figure out for myself I'd my anger was reasonable for the situation or not...though I had an inkling that the amount of anger at least sometimes didn't fit the bill... it helped him diagnose me as bipolar when he found out once I got over the anger spats I would instantly get depressed... add in the usual happy go lucky attitude I usually have and how I'll get EXTREMELY happy over something that really wasn't a big deal and voila: proof positive. But the right diagnosis is why it's not 1 star... because as said earlier though he diagnosed me correctly the treatment he was giving me was not only unnecessary but completely the opposite of helpful as I could have been treated for the right thing the entire time instead of for the wrong thing.
