Dr. McFadden put my wrist back together after I fell and shattered it. He was wonderful and after it healed you could hardly see the scar. I also have good range of range of motion back.

Dr. McFadden and Katie Connor are truly amazing!!! They both have the best bedside manner and you can see by the extraordinary patient care that you are receiving top medical treatment. I was in need of emergent surgery and they handled everything perfectly. It could not have gone any smoother. I was fully informed of everything that was going to happen before surgery. All of his nurses had everything lined up for my Covid test, all orders were received and paperwork was ready. It was so smooth and easy even though it was happening so fast. Before and after surgery everything was explained. They made me feel like family and that was the warmest and much needed feeling. After surgery they were fully informative with myself and my husband and the entire time everything was explained on a level we understood. The follow-ups have been great and they put their hearts into their patient care. I could not have been in better hands and I am so grateful for Dr. McFadden, Katie Connor and the entire team over at JI Surgical, the Mt P office and the WA office. The best hand surgeon in the world!! He also has plastic surgery experience. My scar is almost impossible to see. He is kind, thoughtful, and professional. I highly recommend him.

I honestly can't say enough about these guys, I had a zone 2 laceration, completely severed tendon, nerve and muscle. McFadden took me in, let me know the severity of my situation and how urgent my surgery was! Proud to say it took 4 months of physical therapy, and I'm back to about 90% motion. Great follow ups, these guys really care about what they do, very grateful, very blessed!!! Would highly recommend him for hand surgery, had carpal tunnel repair 8 weeks ago and you can barely notice the scar. He provided excellent, comprehensive, compassionate care with a great deal of knowledge and experience. He is kind and respectful and explains things well, listens to concerns and questions. It is evident that you are in competent hands. Very pleased with the care received by him and his team including office staff and anesthesiologist at the out patient surgical center in James Island.

He is a great! I was lucky to get him as my doctor. In addition, he is warm and friendly.

Wonderful!! Very personable and professional. Treated me with respect and explained everything from my injury, to xrays and surgical approach. I work in healthcare with patients everyday and appreciate physicians who know how to give excellent care! Highly recommend to anyone!

I have worked with DrMcFadden in the past as a nurse anesthetist. I have kept his patients comfortable during their surgeries. I have observed his surgical technique as well as his interactions with OR staff and other physicians. As patient, I highly recommend his surgical expertise. In addition to that, I appreciate the time that he takes to explain his idea of the best plan of care and the benefits vs possible problems that could ensue.

25 years ago I received surgery on my right hand due to dupuytren's contracture. Over the years both hands became affected and when I went to an prominent area hospital after x-rays, MRI and many visits I was advised that the right hand probably had a lot of scar tissue and surgery would likely be problematic. The left hand little finger was locked into the palm and would have to be amputated. I was not happy and my family doc referred me to another surgeon. While this doctor did not perform hand surgery, this became the pivotal appointment I needed. Speaking with this doc I told him about that funny, but competent, Irish doctor from long ago. After a while he said "you mean John McFadden?" Both hands and ten fingers are very grateful. Just a GREAT Doctor & Staff! Back in June of 2016, I developed a severe infection from a cat bite on my right hand. After nine days in the hospital at LMC and 3 surgeries, two to clean out the infection and the third to insert hunter rods for future repair to the tendon damage of the middle 3 fingers, a 4th surgery was required to restitch an area of the incision that was not healing. But, this did not work and my surgeon referred me to Dr. McFadden for a possible flap procedure. Dr. McFadden did not think the flap would be necessary and he surgically removed the hunter rods, cleaned up the incision and closed it. I now have a healed, clean scar. I am currently in PT and looking forward to the next step of repair to the tendons. I am very pleased with Dr. McFadden and highly recommend him. Wonderful. Have had trigger finger surgeries, broken wrist,carpal tunnel, and crushed finger surgeries. Trust him completely and does fabulous work !
