I trust 100% in Dr. Maskill's expertise! After my initial appointment, I knew he would be my surgeon! He and his team are always at the ready to answer questions.

Dr. John Maskill is an awesome surgeon and has excellent patient skills he been an inspiration to me while I've been facing my injuries from a headon car accident he is always helpful, motivating and makes me smile when I haven't wanted to smile. I reccomend if have any foot injuries to see him he is the best.

Fantastic professional. Dr Maskill takes time with his patients and could not be better at what he does.

Dr. Maskill is extremely knowledgeable and has the greatest bedside manner. He’s thorough, kind, and doesn’t make me feel like I’m being rushed. I went to him for a 2nd opinion and he spent over 30 minutes talking to me. The original doctor I saw spent maybe 2 mi it’s with me and was impossible to get ahold of for follow up questions. I’d recommend Maskill to anyone in need of an orthopedic surgeon!

I had a previous Foot Doctor recommend I have surgery for osteoarthritis so I went to Dr. Maskill for a 2nd opinion. He agreed with the recommendation, but made me feel much more confident in having him do it by explaining his technique and spelling out every step! I'm much more relaxed on having this done now.

Dr Maskill takes the time to not only understand your condition, but also explain what can be done medically. As a surgeon he is highly skilled and in my opinion, one of the best. He reconstructed my right ankle. I felt confident before the surgery that I was in good hands. Recovery from the surgery was pain free. The worst part was waiting for the two months of non weight bearing to end. I had my recheck just before my 8 weeks was over. At that time I got the all clear to put weight on it. I walked for 5 days with the assistance of a cane. I can honestly say within the first month I was walking fairly well. Now it is time to start strength training. Dr Maskill will literally get you back on your feet again, but you also have to put work into your own rehab.

Dr. Maskill gave me a better, less invasive option than I thought I needed for my foot problem, and I couldn’t be happier with the results. Takes plenty of time to listen, explain, and is always in a good mood. I highly recommend him!

Dr Maskill did surgery to repair my torn Achilles tendon. It took only one hour but so far it has been a very positive experience. He explained the procedure well and we my expectations right up front. A very caring and knowledgeable surgeon!

I was very pleased in every way with the care I received from Dr. John Maskill and Orthopaedic Associates of Michigan. Everyone was friendly, caring, and informative.

John maskill always takes the time to listen to you describe your situation and does what he can to solve whatever problem you are having. I would not want to have any other doctor.

I had a previous experience WITH OAM acouple of years ago with a torn up wrist. I recived prompt and professionl care then, as well as my recent visit with Dr. Maskill.

Appreciate this practice greatly. Dr Maskill is so helpful. Not a rush to surgery but shared all my options and recommended treatment. Thank you for all the information and help.

First visit. I felt he was listening to my concerns and addressed them to my satisfaction. I left feeling like I'm going in the right direction with my issue after months of getting no answers.

Dr Maskill is very personable, professional and caring. He was very knowledgeable about the problem with my achilles and had excellent suggestions on how to proceed. I would highly recommend him to anyone with a problem with their foot, ankle or Achilles tendon.

Dr. Maskill is a talented surgeon who helped me get back on my feet again after a terrible ankle injury three years ago. I recently returned to have the hardware removed, and he was so positive and reassuring. I trust him 100% to help me again. He’s amazing!

Dr. Maskill has done three ankle surgeries for me. Thanks to him I’m walking again with no pain. He knows his stuff, explains everything clearly, answers the big questions patiently, and is right on with the results. His office staff is outstanding and I highly recommend him.

Dr Maskill spent time explaining to me, answering my questions and most importantly, listening to me. He did a fantastic job on repairing my foot some years ago and has now given me some great options in dealing with a bad knee. My overall experience with OAM over the years had been great:

Dr. Maskill examined a troublesome knee and my prior ankle replacement. He listened to me, performed a thorough exam (including X-rays) and suggested a plan of action. Dr Maskill is a very knowledgeable physician in regards to orthopedic care. He truly cares about his patients. I have been a patient of his for over 10 years and have nothing but respect for him as a doctor as well as a person.

This was my first visit with Dr. Maskill....he was very understanding and approachable. He answered all my questions and addressed all my concerns. I would highly recommend him.

I had to wait over an hour to see Dr. Maskill but it was well worth it. He was genuinely concerned, communicated clearly, and took adequate time w me. Highly recommend him!!

OAM, Dr John Maskill performed two surgery’s on my foot and ankle, both have healed well at this point. 2 months post ankle replacement I’m able to walk on it with minimal pain. I recommend him for your feet and ankle issues.

This place is a mess Dr Maskill everyday is running 45 minutes to 2 hours behind his appointments are scheduled every 10 minutes so he can see as many patients as he can in one day leaving you waiting in the waiting area and then in a room forever No respect for your time

Very caring, open. Explains the why things are like they are and how they will fix it. Listens to you to get all the details.

This was my first contact with Dr. Maskill and I was impressed with his knowledge and approach to patient care. He assessed my condition, presented multiple options for treatment, and then gave me time to consider my choices for moving forward. I feel like part of the team caring for my foot health.

Anyone who needs any surgical care of their feet or ankles must be under the care of Dr. Maskill. Not only is he the best surgeon, he is kind, caring and compassionate. You won't be sorry choosing him for your care. He is the BEST!!!

Awesome!!! MD Maskill knows I have been suffering for awhile. Their office got me in even though it was backed up and longer wait for pain shots in ankle. I am having a 2nd surgery a month later. Great job, John I tried to get him to let intern stab away volunteering as a guiena ????

A great place for treatment. Kind and caring staff that treated me with respect and concern. First rate all around from beginning to end of my appointment. The doctors listened to my opinions and addressed all my concerns. I never felt rushed . I highly recommend this practice!

Dr Maskill was the 3rd specialist I went to for my OTJ injury to my ankles. Unlike the others, he was prompt, courteous, and gave me answers as to what exactly is wrong and what needs to be done and what options I had. Sent me to a lot of therapy to help strengthen my ankles and has been a great experience dealing with him. Dr. Maskill had performed a Achilles repair for me 8 years ago. I have had zero problems with it. It got me back to the active lifestyle I was used to and playing volleyball several times a week. Now at 63, I have a new problem with arthritis in my MTP (big toe joint). I saw him recently for a consult. My goal is the same as before; to determine the most effective solution to maintain function and mobility long term. Great patient interaction: friendly, patient and informative. Knowledable in the treatment needed and explained the options clearly.

The wait time was absolutely rediculous! 10 am appointment took over an hour just to get called in. I never saw the doctor until almost noon. To be that far behind so early in the morning not impressed. I was very satisfied with Dr. Maskall and his explanation of my diagnosis. Going forward I have decided to have surgery with him I just hope in the future the office appointment s are in a timely manner. I had ankle fusion surgery by John Maskill about five months ago. I had an unable ankle and was not able to walk more than about 10 minutes before the pain became too great. I am already exceeding that with no problems. The procedure went very well and i have been most pleased with the lack of pain. I’ve been a patient for the last 3 years for a severe foot injury and Dr. Maskill is the best. I’m not just a number to him. He genuinely cares! He also takes time to explain everything and doesn’t rush you out the door.

Dr Maskill was thorough and knowledgeable And I appreciated the fact that he listened first and then talked, a lot of Dr’s talk down to you or tell you what they are going to do, but he used ‘we’ when discussing the best way to fix my Achilles Tendon.

I have had a total knee replacement with him and will be driving 2 hours to him for my other knee replacement because I moved 2 hours away but want him to do my second because he was awesome the first time and for all care I have received. Well worth my drive

I had Dr Maskill fix my left leg from breaking it and after 2 failed surgeries from another surgeon he fixed. The thing that sets him apart is he takes time with his patients to answer questions, informs us clearly on what is the situation is so we can make the best decision for us. If you trust him like I do one of the questions I ask him is what does he feel is the best solution for long term and best resolution for the issue. Dr. Maskill came highly recommended for my son’s high ankle surgery. It was a serious break and he’s a teenage athlete so the stakes were high. Dr. Maskill’s confidence pre-procedure that he could accomplish the goals of the surgery without infection were assuring. He delivered exactly what he said. No complications and rapid healing. The nurses and doctors are super friendly, and spend a lot of time with you. The wait time use to be really bad, but they sure have improved.

Dr. Maskill has seen me through three foot/ankle surgeries in the past three years including replacing my right ankle. I have great respect and admiration for his skill as a surgeon as well as his attentive and caring bedside manner. I would not hesitate for a second to recommend him to anyone with foot/ankle problems!

My visit was a follow up with Dr. Maskill after foot surgery. Everything is progressing as he speculated and I will be off to PT after Thanksgiving. He is a gifted surgeon that I would recommend.
