My husband was in a dire situation with Diabetes type 1. We were fearful of his losing his foot and possible his leg. Dr Liquish took incredible care to not only do a surgical replacement of a vein in the leg but also a toe amputation. He saved my husband's leg as well as his foot. Dr Joh Liguish has the wonderful ability to listen to a patient and take the time each day we were in the hospital to keep us apprised of all upcoming situations and what to expect. He took the time to visit , talk and explain his next steps in the care we will receive. He was never in a hurry and even sat in my husband's room to chat and show us his human side of him. Dr. Ligush performed an temporal artery biopsy which resulted in an essential diagnosis for me. Not only was Dr. Ligush highly recommended by his medical peers, but I was confident after my first appointment with him that I was in most capable and knowledgeable hands I felt that it was important to him that I understood the procedure and what to expect. He answered my questions and gave me his utmost attention. I recommend Dr. Ligush to anyone who requires the services if a vascular doctor. We are, indeed, fortunate to have Dr. Ligush in the medical profession- and in Charlottesville.

Explained my situation in a simple, direct manner. Performed the surgery successfully. Minimal scarring. Affable, interesting, accessible.

My last visit was a follow up for my occluded carotid arteries. But he did a major surgery for celiac artery compression syndrome, the only doctor that finally diagnosed me after years of pain. He has the best bedside manners and an excellent surgeon.

Explains everything in language I can understand. Very Professional and caring. I just cant understand how he could get anything less than 5 stars. I recommended him to my wife and he is her Doctor also.
