Dr. John W Hudson

Dr. John Hudson saved my life! He is super professional with the TMJ treatment. I suffered from TMJ for 10 years. I am so happy that I found him in my insurance network. I did the MRI and then scheduled a surgery. He found my issue real quick and explain it to me. The other doctors in his team are also very responsive. One of them answered my questions patiently, making me feel safe. It is obvious that Dr. Hudson is very popular——my surgery appointment was scheduled to 3 months after they got my MRI, which was the closest date that I could schedule! I decided to wait rather than finding any other doctors cause I trust him. The fact verifies that my decision is correct. The surgery is successful. I found someone complains about the counter staff of the office. I would say that the front desk employees that I got touch with are very nice. Thank you Dr. Hudson and your great team! So I was contacted by Dr.Hudson's office a couple of weeks ago about an MRI. I followed up with that call today two weeks later. The receptionist Danielle answered the phone on 04/06/21 and was very rude and unprofessional. She tried to copy my voice like she is prejudice or something. I asked to speak with someone else and she said she was the only one at work. Her tone was very unprofessional and rude. She makes me never want to go to this office again.. The TMJ thing is already causing me to be uncomfortable and to be treated like nothing by staff makes it even worse. When I get a call back from Teresa I will discuss this matter. If I still feel uncomfortable with the personal at Dr.Hudson's office I will look for another TMJ specialist in the Knoxville area. He did TMJ surgery on me several years ago. It was the best thing I ever did. Went from so much pain, couldn't hardly eat by the end of the day, to no pain at all. Great doctor and surgeon.

After 2 years struggling with TMJ/ TMD and visiting many doctors, I was finally introduced to Dr. Hudson and his team. Dr. Hudson gave me back my life. I had suffered tremendous pain and had been misdiagnosed during the course of 2 years. After several tests and surgery, I can now claim my life back thanks to Dr. Hudson and his team. Dr. Hudson rebuilt the roof of my mouth after some trauma. He is an exceptional surgeon and no one would know looking into my mouth that the roof of my mouth had been repaired. I felt that he was very caring and hands-on, he helped me place the retainer he made for me after surgery and prior to surgery and molding thr retainer he had the dental on-call staff use dental wire to set my teeth temporarily so that they would not heal back misaligned-this shows he has great judgement and foresight in avoiding future complications or more extensive work by taking immediate action. I would recommend Dr. Hudson very highly to anyone and in fact I have used him since on occasion for minor dental surgeries to protect the previous surgical work.

Dr. Hudson needs to retire. He has no empathy or compassion for the patient, and is "too good" to speak to patients on the phone. I have NEVER had any type of dentist not allow me to speak when it was obvious I was trying to, but this is what Dr. Hudson did - just kept on working even though I was feeling extreme pain in my jaw. He also has a condescending manner and attacked my character. I would not recommend him to anyone, and really recommend he retire before he gets sued.

One of the most decent and kind doctors Ive met.. and I've met a lot of them over the years.. while I'm at the beginning of my journey to fix my problems .. he didn't abandon me as so many others have ..

I had a serious accident that destroyed the majority of my teeth. I was in and out surgeries for 2 years. Dr. Hudson was incredible. I am so thankful every day that he was on my ER team when they airlifted me to Knoxville. He gave me back my confidence and my smile. I would highly recommend him to anyone.
