I went to Dr Hijjawi for my initial single Diep flap reconstruction. He was available on the phone to talk to me about all my concerns, and even fit me in for an extra follow-up when I had some complications. He is very knowledgeable and skilled. I just had my 2nd phase revision a few days ago. I am so pleased with the outcome. My diep flap breast and the natural breast look so similar (much more so than I expected). I feel like I'm finally able to put this cancer journey behind me. I'm very grateful to Dr Hijjawi his part in getting me to this point.

Dr.Hijjawi, and his staff are so knowledgeable and helpful. I had surgery and have been recovering the last two months. The surgery went well. They have taken very good care of me. His NP Leina Brady is outstanding she taught me how to take care of my incisions and was very caring. I highly recommend Dr. Hijjawi, for his excellence surgical skills.

Everyone is always so nice and Dr Hijjawi explains everything so you understand. They are awesome!

I first saw Dr Hijjawi in March 2022 after being diagnosed with breast cancer. He was the first doctor I had seen to that point that took time to explain all my options and answer my questions, I left feeling appreciative and hopeful. Dr Hijjawi and his team performed my DMX and diep flap reconstruction. I am so grateful to have found him, he is such a skilled surgeon and has given me amazing results and made this whole process bearable. His PA Leina is equally amazing and has provided me with so much guidance and support during my post op appts. I can not recommend this practice enough.

Going through breast cancer has been overwhelming, but I have been so impressed by the compassion shown by all my doctors and their staff. Dr Hijjawi was reassuring, super positive, and took the time to answer all our questions. We are so happy with our team of doctors.

Dr. Hijawaii is an amazing Doctor and Plastic Surgeon. I was diagnosed with Metastatic Breast Cancer and Dr. Hijawaii was part of my care team. I had 33 year old implants that were en-bloc and after my Oncology Surgeon removed the cancer mass in my breast Dr. Hijawaii removed my implants (explant) and he did an amazing job. I had two consultations with him before the surgery and he was very kind, patient, knowledgeable and helpful in deciding how to proceed with the explant and partial reconstruction. I could not be more pleased with the results of his work. The staff was amazing, kind and patient as well. I highly recommend Dr. Hijawaii's practice. Dr Hijawi is amazing! He performed my revision of my breast reconstruction. I went to see him after radiation to fix and replace the temporary implants. What he had to work with from the previous surgeon was not great to put it mildly. I am very pleased with the outcome. He was very honest about his concerns and what my best options were. I had a breast reduction done by Dr. Hijjawi and I am very happy with the results. I was referred by someone who has worked with Dr. Hijjawi and they told me he was a great surgeon and someone to trust with this procedure. During pre and post consultations he listens to your problems and advises you what is best depending on your concerns and he is open to fix issues you are not content with. I did a consultation with Dr. Hijjawi about a breast reduction and after the initial consultation I went to my car and cried - but for good reasons. I felt so incredibly validated. We had a good conversation not only about my health issues and my surgery but about cultural beauty standards and it's impact on women. His office helped me get through the pre-approval process, and then my surgery was scheduled. I felt very safe going into surgery with his team, especially Dr. Hijjawi and the anesthesiologist made me feel like I was in very good hands. I went for an Explant Consult. Dr Hijjawi was great. But when I wanted information or to get my estimate, his staff was so rude! They kept telling me well you are doing a cosmetic procedure. Anyone that is having problems with their implants knows you don’t say that to someone. I waited 2 months for it. I called multiple times. Then I sent in my estimate to schedule my surgery and they never got back to me. So disappointed... with his staff and the lack of communication, I am going somewhere else. I had surgery with Dr. Hijjawi at the end of April. I was referred to him by my oncologist. I found him, his nurse - Courtney, and his NP - Liena incredibly knowledgeable and professional. Dr. Hijjawi explained everything thoroughly and I felt very comfortable with the procedure and aftercare. After serving cancer and having a full mastectomy at the age of 35, I never thought I would ever fell like a normal person again. That was until I meet Dr. Hijjawi, he amazing talent in reconstruct has lead me to being more confident and more like a women again. I am so grateful that we found him. I’ve been seeing Dr. Hijjawi for the last 2 years. I was originally diagnosed with stage 2 BC and 2 years later with stage 4. During this process I have loved my cancer team at Intermountain Healthcare, but Dr. Hijjawi and his staff have a very special place in my heart. From my first consultation to each of my check-ups, he and his staff are always friendly, professional, and have great bedside manner. I did have a brief stint with plastic surgeons at Huntsman because of change of insurance. While the surgeons, residence, and nurses seemed competent to perform my surgery, I felt like I was a number or specimen to them. At Dr. Hijjawi’s office they were totally empathetic about my situation and have their rooms set up for patients to feel dignified during, at times, undignified situations (ex: have separate room to take pictures with a female nurse, outside of exam rooms). Needless to say, I held off with my surgery until I was able to get insurance to see Dr. Hijjawi. Im part of a few breast cancer support groups, and several of us have had high praise for Dr. Hijjawi and have recommended him to other newly diagnosed members. He really is committed to his profession, competent, and honest. I’ve been so happy with my surgeries, care, and results so far. I met with several plastic surgeons before meeting Dr. Hijjawi. He was the first to make me feel confident that he was experienced and knowledgeable enough to perform the complicated DIEP, and cared about how I would feel about the results. After cancer treatments left me feeling mutilated, Dr. Hijjawi's work made me feel whole, put-back-together, and even more beautiful than before.

I can't say enough good things about Dr. Hajjawi and his staff. He performed my reconstruction after my double mastectomy. He was very direct and knowledgeable about the whole process. He made my husband and I feel very comfortable and answered all our questions and concerns. He and his staff were on top of the minor complications I had after surgery and got me right back in to correct the problem. I am grateful I found Dr. Hajjawi and very happy with my final results!

I am so impressed by Dr Hijjawi, his NP Liena Brady and staff. I underwent breast reduction March 2019 and my results have been incredible. I appreciate how my medical problems were listened to, acknowledged and addressed with kindness & respect, while maintaining professionalism. If I could give 0 stars I would. I have never had a worse experience in the healthcare system. The staff in this office is rude, incompetent, and unprofessional. Dr. Hijjawi is a very rude person, who lacks the ability to be compassionate for his patients. He will make a surgery plan with you, and then do the opposite of what was discussed. He will chew you out for his lack of competency. He will mock you. He will neglect you! I had surgery and I know nothing about how the procedure went, how to care for my finger, or what was even done. Upon my follow up appointment, he couldn’t even seems, I had to meet his assistant who informed me that she has no hand experience!! I’m baffled how this man is allowed to practice medicine. Love Dr Hijjawi, he always made me feel very comfortable, I would recommend him to anyone and everyone. I’m very happy for everything he did for me and my family. I visited 4 other surgeons and he was the only one that listened to me, and what my concerns were. I really appreciate him and his awesome staff.

I have had the best experience with Dr Hijjawi. He removed my breast implants last Sept due to complications from radiation from breast cancer & symptoms of Breast Implant Illness... What a shocking experience it has been to work with Dr. Hijjawi. I needed a tendon repair surgery on my finger and was scheduled with him. Not only is he a rude person, but he has no regard for your care. I had surgery on my finger and I still know nothing about the injury, operation, or what I am suppose to be doing for after care. It is my advice to find a professional, NOT him.

I highly recommend Dr Hijjawi and his staff. He performed my bilateral DIEP flap breast reconstruction, and I am very happy with the results. Dr Hijjawi is professional, articulate and personable. Even more important, he is an amazing surgeon. He corrected several problems that resulted from my prior double mastectomy. He is skillful and meticulous. I am grateful that my reconstruction was performed by someone so talented and experienced.

I was very happy with care Dr. Hijjawi and his staff gave me. He has a great bed side manner and was very kind. After being diagnosed with BRCA1, I did my research and after our consultation I felt like he was very knowledgeable with the DIEP surgery that he performed. When I had complications he was right on it and followed through. As well as following up with the touch up surgery later. I was pleased at the end. I will definitely recommend him.

Dr Hijjawi was an excellent choice for me for reconstruction surgery. And when i wasn't happy with the way my skin looked he did fat grafting and it looks great now. In a dark and uncertain time in my life he and his staff made me very comfortable and very pleased with my reconstruction. I'm a breast cancer survivor. I went in asking for small breast- C cup. I came out with huge breast F-cup. Not at all happy. When I asked what had happened, I was treated rudely, given excuses, and told they looked fine on my frame.

I've been waiting my entire young adult life to get my breasts reduced. I promised myself after we were done with kids that I was going to research and find the perfect doctor. I recently underwent a 2 phase breast reconstruction for breast cancer. Dr. Hijjawi is one of the most detailed , attentive ,yet caring and kind doctors I have ever met. Dr. Hijjawi is truly a gifted surgeon. I consulted with 7 different dr’s before I found him. I wanted my implants removed with capsules intact and a lift. Many of the other surgeons tried to talk me into replacing my implants with “new and improved” ones. They also told me it wasn’t necessary to remove my capsules. Dr Hijjawi was the only one compassionate enough and talented enough to perform my surgery perfectly. His staff is amazing , he has a fabulous bedside manner, and my scars are tiny. My best friend who is a nurse practitioner for an Ob/gyn office, said that my scars and breasts are so beautiful she is going to refer all her patients to Dr H from now on. I was born with a defect where one breast didn't develop I had implants put in 27 years ago. I went to Dr. Hijjawi to remove my implants and did not want new ones put in. I met with Dr. Hijjawi after being diagnosed with breast cancer. He was compassionate, articulate and offered clear suggestions and was able to answer all of my questions. His "bedside" manner put me at ease and made what I was facing less painful. He was willing to work with my surgeon to start reconstruction after my mastectomy. He took all precautions so I would have the very best out come. I would return to him for any plastic surgery needed and would highly recommend him as a surgeon.

Dr Hijjawi is the Best! After PBM complications with another surgeon; I scheduled a consult for explant surgery. Dr Hijjawi was direct, yet sincere and honest in explaining my options. His insight, knowledge, experience, and empathy gave me hope. I felt liberated leaving my consultation... I decided against the explant surgery and I am so grateful that I did... I look amazing. Dr. Hijjawi is extremely knowledgeable about reconstructive breast surgery. He understands and is able to convey the positives and negatives of the choices that are available to women. He communicates in a kind manner, sensitive to the situation of the patient. He has performed well over 1,000 reconstructions, and is very precise, accurate and concerned about the outcome of the surgery. He is especially concerned about the way the woman feels about that outcome. I highly recommend Dr Hijjawi

Dr. Hijjawi has been the best plastic surgeon I could have ever hoped for. From the first visit he made me feel as comfortable as possible in my condition, four months of chemotherapy, tired, and scared. He answered questions in a clear and unrushed manner. He was professional and yet reassuring that life will be okay again. He performed immediate reconstruction after the mastectomy and five months later the final surgery with implants. Everything went great! I'd highly recommend Dr. Hijjawi.

From the moment I first met Dr. Hijjawi I felt such complete comfort with him. He takes the time to talk to you about procedures, questions, concerns and speaks to you in a way that puts you at ease which is such a nice feeling when dealing with post breast cancer reconstruction. I had met with other Dr's prior to my consult with Dr. Hijjawi and none of them made me comfortable or even spoke to me in a way that I could understand what lied ahead of me. I can't thank Dr. Hijjawi enough for having such a passion and great knowledge for what he does. He truly changed my life. I also have to mention how great all of his staff at IMC in Salt Lake City is to work with. Everyone is so nice and pleasant to interact with. I would definitely recommend Dr. Hijjawi to anyone. If you want a super smart, ultra-competent doctor who treats you like family, you've found him. When I learned I needed a mastectomy, I searched for a plastic surgeon with about ten years of experience as this would allow time enough for him or her to develop mastery and, at the same time, he or she would likely be open to the latest developments vs. entrenched in an older method. What I didn't know to look for but also found here is truly caring attention that is healing on its own accord.

I would HIGHLY recommend Dr. Hijjawi. He is an extremely knowledgeable surgeon and did a fantastic job on my delayed bilateral DIEP reconstruction. From the consult to the final post-op appointment, Dr. Hijjawi answered all of my questions and was extremely considerate and patient. Even my family was impressed with his professionalism and demeanor when he spoke with them in the waiting room. His bedside manner is second to none, which is very important when dealing with cancer patients.

Dr. Hijjawi is a gem. He is an excellent surgeon and a caring professional. He is kind and down to earth. Dr. Hijjawi and his team answered all my questions and heled me feel at ease. My surgery was a double mastectomy after a long battle with breast cancer. My procedure used tissue expanders and implants. The results exceeded my expectations. Every cloud truly does have a silver lining!

I would highly recommend Dr. Hijjawi for any patient who is considering have breast surgery. I had a bilateral breast reduction with a lift almost 6 months ago and couldn't be happier. I was having migraines, tension headaches, along with upper back and neck pain from my large breast. Since my surgery I've had 1 migraine, 0 tension headaches, and hardly any upper back and neck pain. I have not been to my chiropractor or neurologist since the surgery. Dr. Hijjawi is the best!

Dr. Hijjawi performed an immediate DIEP Flap reconstruction after my prophylactic bilateral mastectomy since I am BRCA2 +. He surpassed all my expectations. After extensive research, I decided to drive an hour and 20 minutes each way to receive care from Dr. John Hijjawi and his excellent team. I had a prophylactic bilateral mastectomy after a BRCA2 confirmation. Dr. Hijjawi balances unparalleled professional competence with warmth and a sense of realness not often found in highly specialized medical providers. He listened, answered every single one of my numerous questions, and I could not be happier with the end result. I highly recommend.

I saw Dr. Hijjawi shortly after my breast cancer diagnosis. He was sensitive to the stress I was experiencing, considerate, and patient. Of all my doctors (primary care, surgical oncologist, medical oncologist, and plastics), he was the person who spent the most time with me and went out of his way to answer my questions, before and after my reconstruction.
