John C Goldner

Dr. Goldner has been my neurologist since 1991, and treats my MS. He has always been thorough, kind and listens to me. I feel free to openly discuss virtually anything, including looking at different perspectives and options for my care.

I appreciated that he first read the notes on file and then we talked through the last 4 weeks of symptoms while asking many questions and taking many notes. He did a thorough exam. He was very knowledgeable and personable.

Super rude. He rushed through my physical as if he had better things to do. He read off my paperwork as if I was in front of a judge. After my physical he made a comment of ": all we'll do is run up a 3-4000$ bill that you wont be able to pay right?" .. I instantly was offended. When we discussed why I was there (head injury due to domestic violence incident) he walked me up to the front lobby basically yelling out " and I know your boyfriend feels bad for hitting you". Ive never been so embarrassed in my LIFE !!!!!!

Dr. Goldner was a referral from a family member. Sure, I was caught off guard by his age BUT his knowledge was astounding. I have dealt with pediatric neurologists in the past, so I understand in this line of work the drs have different approaches to communication. Dr. Goldner listened well, took notes, then reciprocated what he heard to verify clarity. He felt confident in understanding my symptoms and felt necessary to begin medication BEFORE the completed EEG and he was 100% correct in his suspected diagnosis. I am thankful for the confidence he had in himself. His medication choice was spot-on. While the experience leading up to this appointment was scary, he helped introduce understanding and acceptance.

Dr. Goldner was very personable and cheerful, yet serious about my health. I could tell he was truly listening to my symptoms, which was demonstrated by his extensive note taking. He repeated my symptoms back to me to ensure he got everything correct, which I appreciated. He also held off on a diagnosis until after he fully examined and listened to me. He was very knowledgeable. He didn’t rush me and made me feel important. I would definitely return if needed!

This Dr is very rude, does not take the time to listen, treats you like you're unimportant, thinks he's a know it all expert, and uncompassionate. Find someone else. Treated me like I was dumb. Won't go back

He asked me questions about when I noticed some of my symptoms. But when I tried to answer that I only noticed when I went in to my regular doc did a test; he cut me off and proceeded to lecture me for 3 min(I wanted to punch him). He would not let me tell him what was going on. He had another doc shadowing him and G got snippy at him for not opening a door quick enough. To summarize, he was very rude; assumed I was an idiot; he would not listen to me; and bragged about previous patients.

Very knowledgeable! Spent alot of time going over my info and mri with me. Took lots of notes!

dont waste your time with this p.o.s... his opinion is the only one that matters, he cant HEAR his patients concerns...

Should have realized a neurologist so easy to schedule with would be worthless. Don't waste your time and money here.

I was a patient of Dr. Goldner's for a long time. Since I was around 9/10 years old. He was always willing to listen and talk, even about things that I was going through when I was a teenager. If it had not been for him, I would not of had surgery to help stop my epilepsy. He recommended that I have surgery at the Mayo Clinic. 1991 was the year I had the surgery. Dr. Goldner is the only doctor I knew, growing up, that actually cared. Thank you Dr. vGolner.
