John Gaffney

Brought my son in who had pain in his ankle. X-rays were negative and when Dr. Gaffney examined his ankle (touching and asking where it hurt) he diagnosed it as a growth plate fracture. Saw him for a total of 5 minutes and his office billed my insurance for a "surgery" charging over $4,000!!!! No bedside manner as well. Will NEVER go back to him again.

If you have a deductible do not go here, they charge extremely high prices for mediocre service. For our two followup visits, we saw a P.A. less than 10 minutes (Dr. Gaffney didn't come in at all) and we weren't even shown the Xray yet received a incredibly high bill. They are part of a huge group and thats what you pay for, a fancy office thats like a factory. Also they gave us a prescription to buy a child's sling which we drove almost an hour to find while my daughter was in such pain and it turned out to be a cheap piece of garbage. I bought one on the internet so much stronger and supportive, why wouldn't they know this and recommend to patients in the initial visit.

Was recommended to Dr. Gaffney by our family physician when my daughter injured her ankle. She had a bad sprain and displaced fracture. We were able to schedule an appointment for an evaluation, and Dr. Gaffney was very thorough and explained the injury and followup care. Would recommend Dr. Gaffney.

Dr Gaffney is knowledgeable, professional and thorough. The amount of time, attention and expertise he and his staff gave to my son led us to an accurate diagnosis that could have very easily been overlooked. Dr Gaffney was recommended to me, and I, in turn highly recommend him.

The front office clerk, would not make us a return appointment. Said, 'either you can be seated and wait until I call you up -there was no one up front w/ her at the time other than us, or you can call back to make an appt. Every time I attempt to call for an appointment, their 'out of office' recording is on even though I called during what normal business hours. Extremely disappointing and unprofessional. I can't recall a DRs office that will not make a f/u appt. immediately before u leave

My daughter was referred to the office regarding an elbow injury that was causing numbness and blue fingers. Office staff refused to schedule an appointment despite phone calls from another orthopedic doctor requesting that she be seen. Office staff was rude and unprofessional. Extremely disappointed in my first impression of this office. I have no comment on doctor care as she was not seen, but the office staff was uncaring and insensitive to a 10 year old in pain.

I've been to see Dr. Gaffney many times. He is a pleasure of a doctor. He takes the time to explain the situation an remedy. His bedside manner is impeccable. I have referred him to many of my friends.

Dr gaffney is a wonderful doctor. He spends the time to explain things to do and doesn't make you feel rushed.
